1. Monstress Book 1, the Barnes and Noble cover plus it's signed by Marjorie Liu. I have the normal cover too but that B&N is perfect plus the red foil spine is far superior to the gold of original and DCBS. 2. Don Rosa's Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck Vols. 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 box set reprints. Wish Fantagraphics would do Vols. 5 & 6 soon. 3. The three Scott Pilgrim thick two in one color trades are so well done and so worth it even though I traded them for the hardcovers, but the trades are for sure the way to get them. 4. Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me. More First Second goodness. 5. Mister Miracle HC would easily have been in the top 3 if it was OHC 6. Saga Book 3 7. Immortal Hulk Vol. 1 8. I Hate Fairyland Vol. 2, felt so right upgrading from the trades. 9. Umbrella Academy Vols. 1 & 2 Library reprint. My first LEs (though Remender books are that size but still). 10. X-Men XXL by Jim Lee even though I'm not a huge X-Men guy but damn. Honorary mention because mine hasn't arrived: Steven Universe All-in-One Edition and Annihilation Omnibus reprint. So excited to own all the cosmic saga, hoping to get either the Infinity Gauntlet box set or a reprint of that to have it all oversized.

In no particular order: Batman Eternal omnibus v1, Amazing Spiderman omni vol 4, Conan the Barbarian vol1 &2, Lucifer omnibus v1, Epic Collection X-men vol. 17, Epic collection Fantastic Four vol 4, Immortal Hulk ohc v.1, Thor by Jason Aaron complete collection vol.1, Mignola world stuff omnis (Witchfinder or Baltimore). If I had to show a person one comic out of any of those, would probably be the Immortal Hulk one. Excellent story/art/modern. Was a great year in reading/collecting comics!

Maddie gave First Second a nice shout-out, so I want to mention of pair of books from earlier in their publishing history that I really enjoyed, namely Kampung Boy and Town Boy by the cartoonist Lat. These books are a warm, humorous look back at Lat's childhood and youth in Malaysia. The first book shows his Muslim family living in a village (or kampung) in rural Malaysia in the 1950s. The second depicts his teen years after his family moves to an industrializing town. Both are just great.

Love this video and both of your opinions! Omar you and I have a lot of the similar tastes man! Immortal Hulk is series of the year again cuz I believe it was in 2018 no? It’s a total comeback for the character and very original too as a horror suspense book but delivers on the action as well. I have been collecting the single issues of that. You’ve sold me on the marvel horror omnibus I love horror. The Swamp thing by Alan Moore absolute edition is the best collected edition this year. I know not everyone happy but hey these days that’s common u can’t please everyone! The book tho has made me fall in love with the character again. The Authority is one of my favourite series of all time! It changed comics and I own both Absolute editions which are BEAUTIFUL. I’m almost picked up the omnibus as well. Also I’ve been meaning to get Kill or be Killed the premise is very original and with Ed Brubaker how can you go wrong he always delivers! Thank you both very awesome to hear your opinions :)

Just got the Barnes and Noble exclusive copy of Monstress in the mail today and I can confirm, still pretty bad binding. Looks to be a issue with the gluing and the ribbon. It wants to make a triangle with the point in the middle even though I did my normal spine stretch, very mousetrappy at the edges (Great video though, have come back to it several times)

I have read 2000AD and especially Judge Dredd and ABC-warriors. Also I have RO-BUSTERS collections, which are like beginning stories for two of ABC-warrior robots. I They have 2000AD ABC ongoing video series. It’s really big universe and it does overlap sometimes. Like overlap in time. Judge Dredd happens before ABC-warriors.

Sadly my 2019 was spent getting more books than I care to admit. I'm slowly working on getting through my backlog but of the books that I did get the ones that I did read and enjoyed were Authority(had to jump into Planetary right after just because),Immortal Hulk Vol.1 HC, and Spider-Man: Life Story.

I would have included the Monstress volume, but that glued binding really soured me, compared to the Gail Simone Red Sonja, seeing what Dynamite could give us at the same price point, Image really looses credibility from this. Near Mint Condition I didn't send it back to IST because I feel it's not their fault. DC needs to send me a new book, no wonder they bury their customer service support deep within layers and layers of bullshit on their website

Not in Omnibus yet but The Mighty Thor ohc 1,2,3 was a good series that I recently read but what it really comes down to is reading the entirety of DC Rebirth because it is all good although I think that the sappy Batman by Tom King. Nobody wants to be in love ever again because love is junk. I think that he makes the mistake in not letting it fade away, like it should, but maybe not completely gone. I thought that Scott was nuts like Morrison and sometimes Stephen King but Tom King is a crazed joker. He is the joker.

God might kill Tom King. I haven't finished reading it. It started good and than that love stuff took over which was okay but it goes too far, way too far. I don't think that God likes that.

i didnt like Monstress and cant understand why other praise it sooo much. To me the world is strange with all females, the traveling around of the characters is chaotic, and the whole premise seems like such a beaten theme and in this book was nothing new about it. I read only 3 volumes but really cant even force myself into reading next.

I can see it not being for everyone. If you can't make it past issue 3 then stop reading it and find somethign you like.
