Great vid. Would like to see one of these for books under $1000 or $3000 or something. Books that have been rising but aren't too ridiculous to jump in on yet. I did just pick up a CGC 9.6 New Mutants 98 after watching this though. Also recently got Spider-Man 252 and 361 CGC 9.4s. Expecting them to start rising more soon.

Where can u get asm 1 for 10k? I’d love to upgrade but I can’t see a 3.5 for anything close to that.

I go off actual sold data. Not what is currently available at what price. Many people will put up a book as a buy it now on day eBay at a super high price. But those won’t sell. You gotta wait for one in auction or for someone to put it up at a reasonable price.

@@ComicBookInvestments but even on Instagram auctions, that have very fair prices, (eg elite comics) as they cut the eBay fees etc - don’t have it anywhere near 10k for a 3.5. From my searching (and I have been, as I want to upgrade my current 2.0 SS) I can’t seem to find any deals close to that :( no lie, if you find or think of selling one for that price. Let me know, I’ll buy it that day. 😌 Also I am from Australia, do you have any online store etc? Sorry not familiar- I’ve watched and been subbed for a while but being so far away, never thought to ask if your store is available to us here in OZ

thanks :) not sure to be honest. But again Action #1 was like $300 in 1970. Then it was probably 20-50k in 1990s, then 1mil in 2010 and now about 3mil....so its be steadily going up this whole time

Nice analysis my friend and nice key books on the top 10. The one book I will always keep is TMNT #1 it’s more scarce than the others on the list. And with sports card investors jumping into comics the low pop count is what they go for.

I have spider man 129 in a 8.5 and im lucky to have gotten it. I spent about 500 at the time, 300 on the comics, 100 on stan lee sig and about 100 on slab including shipping and stuff. Yo. Its about 2500g rn.

Cool video. What do you think about Hulk 180, X-Men 94, Fantastic Four 52, and X-Men 129? Also, your top 5 dc books? (Ik it's not Marvel, but I'm curious) For Example House of Secrets 92, Batman 181, Dark Knight Returns 1 9.8, Batman Beyond 1 9.8? Some of those have seen huge gains, interested in your thoughts. I have an 8.0 Punisher, 8.5 Giant Size X-men, 7.5 Scooby Doo 1(rare).... Still saving and looking to get a Hulk 181 in 8.5 or higher hopefully end of year. Gonna have to go for raw copy cause prices are getting out of control 😅😅😅😅

Hey what’s up I have contacted you with my comments a few times I am Bob in Connecticut what I always meant to say is there is never a good time to sell your comic books but I had to do what I had to do because I’m never going back to work again I only go to Yankee Stadium so I sold most of my stuff so I will give you some of the horror stories. Yes I think we were talking the comparison of amazing fantasy 15 to amazing Spiderman 300 obviously if you are not insane you would rather have any amazing fantasy 15 or X-Men 1 than amazing Spiderman 300 9.8 . There is no comparison anyway most people nowadays cannot afford to buy the vintage key. Unless you are a movie star or rockstar or you are very wealthy. I had avengers 17 point no I only got a few thousand dollars for that I had daredevil 17.5 I don’t think I got $5000 hulk 181 8.0 I got $1100 my fantastic 448 9.4 I got $3000. There is never a good time to sell your comic books but you can’t take them to the grave. Yes I told you I kept my X-Men 17.0 yes that’s about $50,000 market value right now and I bought that many years ago for $300 when it was not yet graded. Tales of suspense 39 8.5 I paid $5300 I got that at the Jacob Javits center. Fantastic 448 9.6 I got that on eBay a few years ago for $3600 superman 15.0 restored no trimming I got that 20 years ago for 12,500 . I don’t work anymore I can’t do stuff like that unless I sell one of my books.I am not sure what is worth more my amazing fantasy 15 6.0 or my superman 1 .🙄🙄🙄

I'm not doing too bad here. I have six out of the ten books you mentioned (had to sell my first print Turtles 1 during 1990's). Now, one or two of them might be in lower grade (my Avengers 1 is 3.5) BUT... here's the thing----I bought them during the late 70's, early 80's. So the price I paid was dirt cheap compared to today's collector buying the books now. So yeah, I'm not doing too bad. And I agree, Hulk 181 is THE Bronze Age book to get. The market is off rite now and I think more of the current age books there going to use the charters faster and more these ten books were allways great and they do dip we both know in a year or 2 with will happen love the Chanel Huk 181 was a lot less 10 years ago I was herb handler there tough to get signed most of the collectors started in 2015 16 I remember the hulk 181 in 9.8 triple signed for 1800 at a show in 2017 hype on the hulk 180 might be better and don’t forget the second appearances asm #4 watch that book

I know several investors who have 10-15 copied of 181, but I don't know of anyone sitting on 10 copies of x-men 1. I like silver age for investment at this time.

I bought my very first expensive comic about 8 years ago. A raw hulk 181 5.0 for $1000 at my LCS, which I still have! I remember being like, “that’s so expensive, but when would I ever get a chance like this again to buy the first appearance of wolverine. That day they also had a nice raw x-men #94 in a show case for like $400. I vividly remember saying, “the cover of that book is so dumb, I don’t even want it hahaha. Best part is, I picked a #94 up about 6 months ago, and it definitely was not $400 lol

They are massively expensive. But I think they are worth it. I’m personally holding back 2 copies. If you can afford it. Try to get the 3.0. If not try for at least a 2.0. Not saying a 1.8 is bad idea. But just not ideal. They will continue to go up. So yes it’s a buy from me

Another book that has had a large spike in price recently is Star Wars. That said, it's still undervalued IMO and with Disney pushing out new content and theme parks it will NEVER go away and its popularity will span multiple more generations to come. Great video and Hulk 181 is my favorite by far.

The G. I. Joe 2 would always be listed "Rare" in mile high price guide. It was about 40$, almost the same now. Howard the Duck was 50$ around the time of the movie. I had 25 copies of XFactor 1, should have been ASM 300 I guess thier's lesson somewhere here

hrmmm....I think as far as investing I'd go for TOS 59. Collecting wise its whatever you want to have. The Cap AMerica 8 conserved is harder to move and not as many collectors will want a conserved label book. Even though I basically saying not to buy my book lol , I will always give my honest best opinion, even if it doesn't benefit me.

Since ASM #129 is strong, what if we do not see Marvel do anything with the Punisher character in the future? Ive heard rumors that Marvel is not happy with the symbol being used in other ways negative to the comic. Out of all these books that one character doesnt seem to have anything coming down the pipe movie or show wise. Thoughts?

Comics just don’t stand on the fact of a movie or tv show. They have their own following by themselves outside of tv. I think punisher is hugely popular and will remain so regardless of videos. People are drawn to him, and like you said. People love that skull look. His skull is a very recognizable image. More so than most other superheroes. So he is her to stay a long time. Just my thought
