Despite the setting of this being in space I don't think it can live up to the astronomical hype that some fans would put on it. I'm used to atrocious rates because I play FGO but it's shocking HSR has them so low.

As someone who has not played any of the other Mihoyo games is this game is turn based which is the type of playstyle that I enjoy & am willing to give a try. I do have the same concerns that you have with the gacha portion especially, but I will enjoy it as a pve game and have heard the story at least up til the end of the beta content is easily doable without even pulling on the gacha and just using the characters you are given free throughout the story. I appreciate all your feedback from your experience from the beta.

This game has been solid. I would almost recommend if someone does reroll, go for the rate-up unit (Seele), and reset if you don't get with the beginning currency. The issue becomes that they provide you tickets for the regular banner instead of currency in a lot of cases. This makes it tough to accomplish this. Depending on what they provide new players upon starting, it will help players evaluate the pro-con of rerolling and time investment. This is a game that summons slows down significantly toward the end of the first world when some of this stuff opens up. I have done roughly 123 summons and received 2 5-stars (both Bailu). I got pretty poor rates on my CBT account except for the 2nd Bailu which happened on 35 on Seele banner. I think rerolling will ruin the game without the ability to skip full scenes personally. The guarantee pick will alleviate some of this desire which is nice. The game is very challenging which makes it extremely fun, and it forces you to use several different units because of the different mechanics/game mode traits/weaknesses. I never played this brainless without being punished for it. I got Bailu right before getting the 2nd Trailblazer unlock so I got tank/healer at the same time and it changed the dynamic of the game a lot. What I thought would sustain me in some areas of the game I found hurt me in others. All-in-all, this game does a great job of making you rethink strategy and diversify your team, which is wonderful. Worth a shot for that alone. F2P + 4 Stars are all so good too. I'm excited for this! Thanks Borkono! Looking forward to 2/27 too!

doesnt the beginner 50 pull banner use the permanent banner currency? if so its a waste to pull on it with normal currency should only use the permanent banner currency.

We have already seen how horrible HoyoGreed's gachas are in HI3 and Genshin. Why are so many of you expecting something different? This will be completely and utterly p2w, same as their other money makers

I think for the PvE multiplayer aspect, they would do raid-like content. When you and your team would try to clear the boss or bosses as many times, gets harder every time. Then have your friends or guild or clan or faction do the same thing. More clears = more rewards?

Well done! We need more objective content about the pros and cons of the game. All the concerns you've pointed out are reflective of what the general gacha players are voicing towards the devs. Not like other content creators that goes around spreading misinformation and outright pointless negativity only to be proven wrong down the line. I am hyped regardless and will support thee game, provide legitimate feedback in order to help out the developers improve the player experience even more. As long as the Star Rail community stay loyal and do their part, this game won't die.

I hope i dont get bailu Id rather get clara/svaraog. Also they shouldve added 2+ different lines for ulting and skills at least cause im sure hearing the same lines over and over will get annoying at some point.

I'm so hopeful for this game. The rates do look awful, same as Genshin, but it's also just typical gacha complaint. If the game is fun, the freebies/4* characters are decent then I can soldier through bad rates. Most of my Genshin team consisted of 4* characters, and I my main was still Noelle. Bad 5* rates suck, but it's not the end all be all.

You know I keep hearing people talk about the 50/50 for the gacha on the first pull but isn't that actually pretty normal for a gacha? Normally it's like that until you hit like a 200 pity. I can use Nikke as an example. Now granted their rates are higher but on pilgrim units its worse then 50/50 and I didn't get her until I hit 180 so I'm not seeing much of a difference. I can see not liking the system but I hear it so much on videos of star rail and nowhere else so I just find it strange

I think it's still not, but gacha used not to have pity at all and that's normal. And then gacha with step up, pity, etc come out. So 50/50 is kinda new, usually you reach pity and get the unit you want.

@Little Boss idk maybe I've just played some exploitative gacha games but even with pity it's always been around 200. So if full pity is 180 I just see it as standard. Not saying it's good mind you just standard

@@zaythleon5847 yeah, usually it's 100+ pity but the different is the effort to create the game and how quickly you farm the currency. Those 100+ pity usually is easier to farm currency, not sure about nikke cuz i don't play it.

@@chantilmnop9010 Actually, 90% of the gachas dont have a Dupe system that unlocks extra effects just stats or minimun changes in the unit, specially modern gacha games were getting dupes is more focos on the END game aspect of the game to push more stats instead of changing the play patterns of the units.. This is more a "wild" take from miHoyo.

The one thing l hate about these genshin style games is the waifus all have a single body type. Like all that changes is bust size or height. Thats that. Dont you guys hate that shit? Recently played destiny child and found myself appreciating the different body sizes and shapes.

It's Mihoyo, now I'm much more reluctant to play their games... With Honkai Impact 3, they were great and then Genshin came along... Mihoyo took the big head and became tight as hell... They are well aware that reroll is a pleasant thing for players but still vomited on players with Genshin and now with Star Rail... All this so that people go directly to the credit card. The banners, their rates and the number for pity are still as disgusting as genshin and I'm 1000% sure that you'll have to grind like hell and spend an excessive number of hours to be able to make a few oulls... For me it's a skip, I don't need a genshin version 2 with honkai as title however beautiful the game may be. The grass is greener elsewhere and many great games are to come !!!!
