Confrontation is so perfect! Especially the 10th anniversary edition :) I do also love You're Nothing Without Me from City of Angels, a writer against his creation where the writer wins!

“Devil Take the Hindmost” from Love Never Dies. Musical fight between Raoul de Chagney and Erik/Phantom. Winner: Erik! With this song, and its companion of Erik getting Christine to stay and sing on His stage, He sets up a “heads I win, tails you lose” situation. Plus getting to plant the idea that Gustave might not be Raoul’s son after all is icing on the cake. “The Final Lair” from The Phantom of the Opera. A 3 way battle, Erik fights Raoul for Christine’s love, and Christine is pitted between two men she loves for different reasons. Winner: 3-way tie. Christine is free to choose who *she* wants to give her heart to, Raoul gets to walk away, and Erik has felt the love He has craved his entire life.

Galinda/Glinda won her classmates, but Elphaba got the Dean's attention and a bit of respect from Dr.Dillamond.

I was getting ready to riot. I’m glad that the Confrontation from Jekyll and Hyde at least got an honorable mention. It’s my favorite!

I thought Glinda was the Good Witch of the North (or maybe that’s just the 1939 version of the character)
@avacherubin47498 сағат бұрын
She is. I mean they said that in the opening of the movie.

First of all,, surprised to hear high school musical to mention. I didn’t even consider it. Also, a traveling song from Shrek the musical. The winner is donkey, although it’s rather close to being a tie. It’s fun without being overly aggressive.

Uuuhhh you left out "I Don't Like You" from Galavant. Clearly this was just an accident, because it does have the line, "this serf might be up, but I'm taking her down"

They got confused by L Frank Baum's 1900 book, where Glinda is the Witch of the South. Wicked is based on the 1939 movie where she is the Witch of the North.
