Humongous Chris I have a good friend who works at Costco. I can tell you for sure that it is a great place to work. Her health insurance is great, she purposely works sundays because of the time and a half, and when she had to be out on FMLA due to a family situation, her bosses couldn’t have been more supportive. All in all, of all my friends, she seems one of the happier with her place of employment.

I need to remind you of something. You said that the Costco Rotisserie chicken does not have preservatives. The package says no preservatives, however, if you look at the ingredients, it contains Sodium Phosphates which are definitely a preservative. I know this because I am a dialysis patient and was taught to avoid anything that has an ingredient that starts with PHOS in the word. Phosphates are a preservative.

@@Costcorgv Hey Guys, I read all the time about people that panic by being put on dialaysis. Most people have no idea but there are 2 types of dialysis. They both accomplish the same thing. The one most people know about is Hemo dialysis. That's where 2 times a week for 4 hours you go in and they hook you up and filter your blood for 4 hours. That tends to wipe out the patients for a while. I'm on peritoneal dialysis. I do it at home. I can hook it up any time I want. I can hook it up at 11 pm and when I wake up, disconnect it. When I started dialysis, within a week, I felt 20 years younger. I have no problem being on dialysis. I'm on the transplant list and should have a kidney soon. I've had lots of offers for living donors but I don't want to cause anyone else to loose a kidney because of me. I'm living a very happy life with my 3 daughters and my 6 (soon to be 7) grandkids. Blood dialysis is way harder on your system than the type I'm on. You also always have a choice to choose what type of dialysis you would like. Don't fear it. Trust me it's just second nature for me now.

@@Costcorgv By the way, Peritoneal dialysis is where a machine pumps 2 liters of dialysis fluid inside your abdomen it sits for 2 hours and then automatically drains and refills your abdomen. For me, It just feels like I just finished eating and I'm full. It doesn't hurt or make me feel bad at all. The only thing to worry about is you have to wash your hands every time you hook up and disconnect as well as any items you will touch. At the end, it takes about 15-20 minutes to drain and your done. Easy peasy.

The purpose of moving product isn’t really only because they want ppl to hunt for them. That’s really like a bonus. But the fact is they have so much product rotating in that they need to make space for it . Also suppliers pay to have their products showing in the center aisles or more visibles areas so of course what was there before, has to get moved. That’s some real info “only employees know”

That moving of items is annoying to us employees too. Sometimes it feels like major trolling, especially when I get stopped by a Member & we both end up hoofing through the warehouse for something that was "just right there" 24hrs ago! XD It's a bit embarrassing sometimes; I don't mind the exercise, but I do feel for the Member, especially if the person is in a hurry or has mobility issues. And you know it's bad when you hear your GM or an AGM over the radio: "Hey, does anyone know where they moved the [item]??" XD

Maybe so. But in fairness they sell extremely fast. I work in meat dept and last thanksgiving id put out 500lbs of turkey a day at least or more. One weekend b4 thanksgiving so just sat and sun i put out a combined 5000 lbs those 2 days. I hate those damn things lol.

I joined Cosco in Queensland Australia, excited that it might be a bit like USA. Unfortunately its nothing like it. To shop at Cosco a person has to have a very good wage coming in, everything is very expensive and can be purchased at Aldi and local supermarkets a lot cheaper. I am a pensioner and my $60 joining fee was a waste of money!

Not All employees will receive turkeys , Only the full time and part time employees , NOT the poor seasonal workers they hire at busy high season ! Not fair and discriminating,, but it is true! Also most of the poor seasonal workers will be paid off after the busy season ! I worked for them before.

Hi, BabbleTop!!! Costco must remember me as being a complete asshole. If I can't find something, I immediately park my cart and then mosh my way through the checkout to the service desk to ask where it is. I always huff and ask why they moved it, and then I get a wishey washey answer. I press them for intel like "why do you have good hot dogs in the food court, but I can't actually buy real hot dogs in the store?" I actually know the answer, but "play dumb" to force them to try to come up with an answer. Costco in Taiwan has joined with a local company called Fu Tong to make "all hot dog and sausage-like items" and it completely sucks. FuTong ham doesn't seem bad, but it's like a giant half-sausage. I took it to the meat section and asked if they could cut it with the meat slicer and "sorry, but we don't offer this service". I looked him straight in the eye, dropped the ham into the open meat refrigerator, did a 180, and walked away. I'm 6 feet tall and a kid standing in a cart screamed in my ear as I passed and I let out a hefty "ganleenyang" (F your mother). A couple in front of me emptied their cart onto the conveyor belt and avoided eye contact as they left the cart where it was. I kicked the cart out of the way and slammed my cart into the end of the belt platform to teach them a lesson. Another is to get a bunch of items on the conveyor belt and then they say "you have to pay the membership today". I say "the ONE thing I really wanted, you don't sell anymore. Let me think about that membership fee." And then walk away... They must love me at the food court, though. I always know exactly what I want and order quickly and get out. I've watched this dozens of times and memorized the whole movie. One time on a sidewalk, a woman coming my direction tripped and fell about 5 seconds before I passed her. I automatically belted out "If you had studied ShaoLin's Light or Flying kung fu, this wouldn't have happened." (I even mimicked the Chinese accent from the DVD, when I normally speak with a Taiwanese accent.) There were House, M.D. clips in there and Birds of Prey...Modern Family season 1. I was in line to return something. The man in front of me had 2 bottles of pomegranate juice. One bottle was completely empty & there was MAYBE half a cup of juice in the second one (they looked like 2 liter bottles each). He told the employee that he didn’t like the juice & wanted a refund. The lady asked him why did he drink the 2nd bottle if he knew he didn’t like the juice. He said, i wanted to give it another try just in case & it’s not completely empty pointing to the half cup of juice. I was embarrassed just witnessing this! He got a refund which shocked me but I wanted to laugh so bad b/c I thought for sure it was all a joke! 😂😂

I live in St Louis Missouri. No cosco here. We have Sam's just as big same idea. I try stick to smaller stores. All large anymore. We have Target and Walmart. Hate big Walmart to and now with covid must go in one set of doors, out another makes even more walking. Can't park close to both sets of doors. Riding cards no help must get up and down to reach. Hurts my bad knee. Might as well stand.
