@@miguelstarboy5572 I don't think they were "invalidating" anyone, and no matter the gender, modeling can be a harsh career. they just pointed out how they brought in men to create more drama, sexual tension, and views. just bc that statement upsets you doesn't mean it's untrue. unfortunately, sex and drama sells -- it was never truly about "opening up" the show to male models wanting to make it, but rather providing mild exposure (and if luck was on their side, contracts from outside companies). due to popularity and talent, Nyle DiMarco won and went places which is awesome! but at the end of the day, it's always been a reality show at its heart. ANTM started strong but was struggling to get views so that was the next exploitative step in Tyra's game.

The Covergirl commercials, especially those done in different languages are hands down the cringiest thing from this show. Jade was actually on point when she said during panel she’s never had any training in acting or commercials. She was defending herself but of course they threw it back in her face and eliminated her. It’s true though. Many of the girls had no prior model experience and most had no acting experience. They set those girls up to do terrible and create cringey moments for tv.
