I personally would have put Ek for the Wild in the number 10 spot over Hock. Ek has been criminally underrated in the NHL he is one of the best two way centers and when he is hurt (like right now) the team suffers greatly. Even on the Vikings I would be temped to say Darrisaw is better than Hock. Dont get me wrong Hock is great and I'm super happy he is on MN but I would probably have him at 12.

Boldy is just a little too hot and cold for me (he is still young). When Boldy is on his game he is better than Ek but when he is not on its game it hurts. Ek is also insane on the PK. I still would never want to trade Boldy, Ek, Kaprizov or Faber from MN.

Kirill I put up so high because of his superstar status and how dominant he can be when fully healthy. This season he’s been very good and keeping the team’s limited playoff chances close to alive. Buxton was just so hurt last year… it was hard not having him on this list, but I hope that changes for next year ! I still think Kaprizov is a bit better than Pablo, but they’re both elite! Royce and Correa were back and forth and ultimately I went Correa one spot higher just because of how he ended the year and his overall leadership. Lewis will climb the list though I am sure of it!

They're both so close that it was very tough to decide 1 and 2 there... It was ultimately just how many records JJ has broken at his position this early in his career. It's very close though!

I would have Ant at number 1 over JJ. The reason why is that with Ant I have belief that the Twolves can win any game, that Ant can be the best player on the court even with the likes of Jokic and Luka. I know it’s a different sport but I just don’t get that feeling with JJ. JJ is the best at his position but at his position I don’t think he can single handedly win Vikings games the way Ant can single handedly win games for the wolves.

That's a very good point... I found it so difficult making the list because of the fact that a basketball players impact can single handedly make a team better overall. Football is more of a team sport for sure. I guess it came down to Justin Jefferson breaking so many records so early on in his career. Truly though I went back and forth between the two of them. I had them back and forth at 1 and 2. Right now JJ has the awards and historic numbers at his position, but ANT is probably more valuable to his team as a whole... It's a true 1A and 1B. A good problem to have for Minnesota Sports ! Hah
