Good point. It also shows that he doesn't care too much about games without stakes. He doesn't take load management games off in meaningful games. I didn't love the leftie shooting, though. I think he said his knee was bothering him. If he didn't want to play, he could have let a replacement fill in for him that might have dreamed of one day playing in the All-Star game.

Ant playing lefty in the ASG is him 1) having fun and 2) calling out how pointless the ASG is. On many occasions, he's made it clear that if there's no competition, he wont take something seriously. He wants to compete, not put on a half hearted show. And if hes putting on a show, he'll put on a SHOW.

@@B3YONDOM3GA What do you want him to do, bro? Remember Giannis? He was actually trying in his first ASGs and the others were reprimanding him for playing D. Then, he as well proceeded to become like everybody else. Ant is just skipping that process. For the ASG to be good again, there needs to be consensus between all the participants or at least the high majority of them. Back in the day, men were men! Not internet/social media darlings! It was an unwritten rule for the top dogs to give their all against the other top dogs. It was pride! It was the itch to compete against the other best in the world and prove you're superior.

I've been saying this for some time, Edwards is the next Jordan. He brought me back to the NBA. I stopped watching basketball when Jordan retired. Don't get me wrong, there are great players in the league, but, when I can catch highlights or a game on the tube, that's what I do.When you have a player that can just take over a game at will, that's just a special player. When I see him play, he just reminds me of Jordan and I watched mike play throughout college and the NBA. He hasn't reached mike in his prime, as far as overall player, but, his game is just as lethal.

The All-Star game should be looked at as an opportunity to prove yourself against the other best players in the world. Kobe and MJ looked at it as an opportunity to separate themselves and show everybody that they were better than the games very best. That’s the problem with your soft generation, you have no competitive will, no desire to stand out and dominate. Y’all are weak little boys afraid to challenge yourselves, afraid everyone’s going to see you fail. So you act like it’s beneath you, you act like it’s stupid, and doesn’t mean anything. But trust me, you ain’t fooling anybody you’re just scared. And that basically describes and explains why the All-Star game has become a joke.

Been watching nba since early ’80s! Any man will be better than Kobe and possibly, depending on how much he studies the game, he has a legit chance to be the goat! Bigger and stronger than MJ, already doing fadeaways like he was a vet. He passed the eye test for me in High School. Young kids just might get to see a goat in the making. I personally have not watched a full game in a long time. Any man is bringing me back to the NBA. I love that he says on national TV that he wants to kill everybody he plays. Extremely competitive and only 22. In my opinion, he is better than Jordan was after 4 years in! The future looks bright for the NBA for the next 12 if Ant-Man stays healthy, and the NBA will recover another viewer just to see this kid grow. Lebron will be the longevity king, but again Ant-Man is also way better than what Lebron was in his four years! The better shooter, but let's not talk defence, LeBron or Jordan aren’t even in the conversation when comparing all-around games. Exciting watching a 22-year-old year tear up the league up like he is doing. Don't forget that he is also playing in the strongest division. LeBron played in the leastern conference making his achievements well….. Kind of weak! I am happy I get to maybe see lighting strike twice in my journey to witness the making of two goats in one journey. Great work Mr. Edward.

The all star break was a great example of the competitiveness of Wemby. Wemby was upset that they loss because of Ant. Wemby is steward of the game. He hates to lose. Not interested in being your friend and who is going to give NBA something they have long wanted Global reach. Wemby is funny and has the mamba mentality. Talk trash all the time. Everything he does outside of the basketball court has been gold.

If Edwards matures and looks and guys like Kobe, Jordan, Bird, Curry and Magic in terms of effort and leadership....he should at the end of his career be in that realm. He's from Atlanta and 28-3 was mostly due to the Falcons running out of gas after 3 qrters.

Anthony Edwards is more powerful than Kobe. Kobe would dunk, but not like AntMan. AntMan throws it down so powerfully like Wilkins. Kobe never had this many posterized dunks through his first 3 years of the NBA. In my opinion, Anthony Edwards will be the best overall player in the NBA in the next year or so. Physically, he's already there. Once he figures out how to get his teammates involved a little bit more, I think he will start to win Championships. He's the best looking player I've seen since LeBron.
