I heard Mandy is supposedly very sweet. She often doesn't like being alone and would cry or tap on the glass if she is left alone.. The museum actually got her the lamb doll to comfort her. Sometimes workers would take her out of the case and carry her around or place her next to them as they work.. and Robert the doll has two possibilities. some believed the woman gave a cursed and haunted doll to a little boy named Robert Eugene Otto because this woman (who was Robert Eugene Otto's mother's slave), grew a close attachment to Robert Eugene Otto when she was assigned to be his caretaker when he was just a few months old.. The woman's own baby had died around 2 days after it was born because it was said that the woman got pregnant and Robert Eugene Otto's father was the baby daddy. This left Robert Eugene Otto's mother very upset so she had locked the slave woman in a tight space area for 9 months and was only fed bread and a bit of water once a day... So when this woman's due date came, the baby was too malnourished and unhealthy to have survived. The woman (& a few other slaves) were assigned to take care of Robert Eugene Otto for years, but then one day, the mother found them practicing some traditional voodoo or something which involved the beheading and sacrifice of an animal. Without hesitation, the mother quickly assigned to deport them back to where they came from. However the woman who had grew an attachment to Robert Eugene Otto begged the mother not to send her away and separate her from the little boy. But the mother did not change her mind. So the slave woman made a life-sized doll of a boy and gave it as a parting gift to the little boy... Robert Eugene Otto then named the doll after him. He eventually gave up his first name to the doll and referred to himself as just "Eugene", while his doll, and ONLY friend and playmate, was Robert. Over the years, strange things happened and Eugene would always blame Robert for negative things happening, and Eugene would often talk to the doll (Even after reaching adulthood and getting married).

I remember when I was a little girl (about 5ish) I had trouble with horror movies and understanding that they weren't real. One night my dad made the mistake of leaving the scifi channel (when it was still Scifi and not Syfy) and I ended up seeing part a show or movie where the girl in it received an evil teddy bear. It started off by breaking all of her other toys and eventually tried to kill her. I was so traumatized by it that I made my parents lock all of my bears in the basement for nearly a year. When I finally got over my hysteria and brought the bears back up I apologized to them and explained why I put them in the basement. Apparently they must have forgiven me because I'm still alive and none of my other toys ever got mysteriously broken or ripped.

I had a nightmare about dolls because they are my main fear. The dolls were twins, one a boy and one a girl, they looked really old and muddy as if they were dug up from the ground. I have 42 porcelain dolls and four have creeped me out. All four are missing. One was a baby I sat by my fish tank. I walked in my room and heard tapping on the tank and something whisper my nickname, "Allie". The next doll was my tallest at the time. She was given to me by my cousin and before we got her out of the box, her eyes would move. The third was one my cousin hated. She sat down and screamed at the doll that she was ugly. The doll jumped at her and left a smiley face scratched into my cousin's cheek. The fourth was one of my favorite, a chubby faced doll that had a Mona Lisa-like smile. I had her watching me sleep with many of the other 20 I had at the time. It was something I liked, having them watch me... I was weird. But I had a dream that I woke up and my cousin had spent the night. We looked at the table and the doll was gone. She floated up at the end of my bed and we asked questions. I asked if she was good, she nodded. My cousin asked if she was a bad ghost, she shook her head. When I woke up the next morning, I looked at the doll and her head was tilted slightly more that when I put her there. Her stand was moved about half an inch forward.
