The setting of FFVIII was never "simple fantasy"...it was always one of sci-fi fantasy. I mean, hell, you get chased by a gigantic -Tachikoma- mechanized spider as Squall during one of the first major missions before you even become a SEED...and this is _well_ before the theorized death. So there is no sudden change of setting. And I could have sworn you wake up with bandages...even if not, this is a world with high-tec and powerful restorative magic.

even then a character taking that hit has huge implications in any FF game, when aerith was dying it took very wierd forms of magic, when chrono died it took very powerful versions of time travel + cloning (they could never re-travel to important moments in history) plus that pic actually appears for a split second whilst the story beyond the fall gets incredibly rediculous especially by FFs standards. plus the see life again sequence and voila

Well... GLaDOS is actually a real person. Or used to be a real person. SPOILER ALERT | In Portal 2 it is revealed that Aperture Laboratories has another project - to copy human mind into a computer. It supposed to give immortality to the founder of the AL - Cave Johnson. But he was dying so he asked that his assistant Caroline would take his place in this project. At the ending scene in Portal 2 GLaDOS says that she removed part of the code related to Caroline. I know that GLaDOS was build as a supercomputer to control the complex, but it seems that she also somehow merged with Caroline. SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH, IT'S NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE

the easter egg your dad was talking about no longer exists, it was removed when cataclysm reshaped the old continents. there is currently no way to glitch your way to the upside down sinners without breaking the TOS. you could do it on a private server, but the official servers locked the place behind an invisible barrier after some people filed complaints that this stuff is out of touch with how wow usually is stylistic or some shit

4:50 You want to know what the real scary thing is. The ever memorable Koopa Troopas and any subspecies of them are actually based on these creatures being turtle like creatures that capture people and imprison them. You even have the Spike/Gabon enemies. These creatures and their sub variations look so much like Kappas in appearance the only difference being they have mohawks where the water basins on their heads would be. Also Bowser who is a Koopa is known for one thing. Kidnapping. Just like Kappas. And people say Nintendo is for kids. Granted Bowser never wanted to drink blood or eat livers but he still gets the kidnapping part right. He even captures Toads which are kind of like children. Very expressive, happy, cheerful, and cowardly. It fits.

The portal Theory is true. The woman is Caroline, who was uploaded into the computer so she can eternally develop science. unfortunately due to glitches in the system they needed to add cores to keep her sane, which you destroy at the end of portal. In terms of the companion cube, that isn't likely, why would GLaDOS waste perfectly good test subjects. Also in Luigis mansion, Nintendo has stated that it is simply a lighting bug.

The hanging shadow may be caused by a badly made hitbox, or just the lighting rendering something that isn't there. As for the companion cube, it's disproved because the grill will dissolve inorganic material, but when you fizzle the cube, nothing comes out.

It's not "many claim to have seen;" it's "there is a scene in the ending cutscene (not the credits, but the actual ending) where Squall is seen without a face. Though it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Squall being dead. Also, Squall isn't the only character in that game to lose their face around the end.

I understand that GLaDOS is merely a machine with the original personality of Caroline that ended up warped and a distorted version of herself. It's just interesting. And I understand there's nothing in the companion cubes... if you have heard of, or read, the theory about Rattman, he heard a voice from the companion cube and it's hard to tell whether the companion cube was sentient or whether Rattman was merely schizophrenic and imagining the voice coming from the cube, developed because he had nobody to talk to and was alone and etc.

I was with you until you got to the Animal Crossing bit. Firstly, Kapp'n never handles your debt. The tanuki, Tom Nook, handles your debt. Second, the debt is far from "never-ending" since you don't even get more debt until you ask Nook to remodel your home and once you have all the home upgrades there's nothing else to remodel and the debt ends. Kapp'n probably is based on a kappa... but very, very loosely. You also had me astonished at the fact you clearly don't know the true identity of GLaDOS... there is a woman's consciousness inside of her, which the robot half tries constantly to suppress. The bound woman is a metaphor for the reality of her existence. I stopped watching after the Portal section. Check your facts before you release videos that make you sound like an absolute nutter... better yet, don't make videos about games you clearly haven't played despite the fact they're still easily accessible.

This is the essential point about Polybius, and it's not mentioned in the video: It was supposed to manipulate the player via subliminal messages, ultra short flash frame messages like "NO SLEEP", "OBEY", "NO THOUGHTS". These are actually pretty impactful on the human psyche. The video shown is a fan-made mockup of the original game. The only things known about the original game is the titlescreen with the game's name and the coorporation on it, "SINNESLOESCHEN", which is german for 'sense deletion'. There also exist a few images of the arcade machine itself.

The companion cube theory can't be true. Because when your character walks through the emancipation grid and nothing happens, other then closing any portals you've placed. And when a regular cube goes through it, it disintegrates. Then if there really IS a body in the companion cube. Then wouldn't it leave behind a body?

Maybe, but we'll never know will we. If I had spent a fortune on a game and intended to show the public what this elusive game really was, I would have started recording from the get-go. Which I believe he probably did. So what happened to his recordings, or why would he decide not to share his recordings after? Why instead upload a minute video crying? The world can be a dark place and there are people that are sinister in nature. My theory is Killswitch was an experiment by the government, or some other powerful force, on if video games could be weaponized. The title Killswitch is the experiment itself..do humans have a kill switch? Can it be triggered visually, psychologically, through sound? It would explain why the game is relatively unheard of, cannot be found, and deletes its data after playthrough. Even if it was found by this man, there are no recordings of it being played, no evidence of what the games content truly is. Red-flags are popping up in my head, but sure maybe a rich and curious guy decided to show the world instead his sorrowful reaction to the game without even an explanation. Call me paranoid or say I have quite the imagination, but truth is we may never find out what Killswitch's content and purpose was or why one man who had the opportunity to uncover the secret never got the chance to.

I don't think Caroline was his lover, just his valuable employee. You hear it in the game, he says she's married to her job. So I don't think they were involved, but he did want her in charge in case he couldn't be.

That's almost it; Caroline was unwillingly installed into GLaDOS following Johnson's death (though she was only his trusted secretary). Johnson wasn't Chell's father-Doug Rattman, however, was: that's why he provides so much aid in getting Chell out of the facility; his voice can even be heard sometimes, from behind the walls; e's hidden himself after a nervous breakdown resultant from running out of meds, which he was unable to refill, due to the events of the Half Life games and the GLaDOS take-over.

I would like to add that in Animal Crossing, if you go to a certain area of the beach, you will find a pair of shoes neatly placed on the shoreline, but no one knows who they belong to. People suggest that this alludes to the fact that in Japan, where the suicide rates are so high, people who choose drowning as an option will often abandon their shoes on the shoreline. So on top of being indebted to a demon turtle, you also find another unfortunate victim who couldn't take it anymore and decided to drown themselves.

The Fallout 3 thing is from a creepypasta about number stations and was never reported by anyone except for the author and a couple attention whores. In New Leaf you don't do errands for Kapp'n OR owe him any money, and the debt DOES end. You don't even have to get an expansion for your house past the third, it's optional and you pay the Tanuki, Tom Nook to renovate and expand your home. No. That's highly impractical. A human body is dense-ish, and clearly plentiful in Apeture. Glados can compress a human into a cube easily. And why waste the technology/money to make thousands of machines identical to the cores (An AI) without any purpose?

Like I said, I doubt the theory thinks that the cube literally contains one or more humans. It would make more sense for her to be storing their consciousnesses inside, for whatever reason. The reason for storing human consciousnesses could be anything. Perhaps another experiment, to see what humans could go through and still "survive", or perhaps simply keeping them safe until she found another use for them. Possibly even using them to help create better AI for turrets, etc. Like I said, there are many potential reasons. Though, at this point, I think we're analyzing it far more than we were expected to. Perhaps, but it is very clear that the cubes are used in tests, they are perfectly weighted and so on. Besides, the cubes don't have any way to produce vocalizations either, so they can't talk. The whole idea (with me at least) for Ratman was a man whose mental disorder made him hear and see things. In this case, that a cube of iron was chatting to him. In my mind, his subconscious is actually using the cube as a way to convey information of danger that he does not notice immediately/focus his own thoughts.

At 6:12, just gotta pause and say- I didn't notice the hidden imagery in GLaDOS's design before, but it does make sense after what we learn in Portal 2: In Portal 2, after Wheatley takes over, you hear Cave Johnson's audio diaries and in them, it mentions that he suffered from a disease after an experiment with moon rocks- that subsequently made portals possible. He says that, in light of his oncoming fate, Apeture attempted to achieve the brain-mapping, enabling man to put their consciousness into machines as artificial intelligence, in order to save him. It succeeded in theory, but Cave died before he could be used. Before he died, Cave told the scientists to use his assistant (and I believe wife as well) Caroline instead should be die before they can test it: stating "If I die before you can pour me into a machine, I want Caroline to run this place. *cough* Now she'll argue, she'll say she can't- she's modest like that- but YOU MAKE HER! *cough* Hell put her in MY machine, I don't care." And un-pause. BTW- totally agree with Squall being dead.
