Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed my video. You will love Labyrinth as much as you love Cafe au Lait Rose, I promise.

I planted Cornel this year too and I loved it.

Which Cornet? I only grow Cornel Bronze and I love that one, but I have not grown any of the other Cornels.

Cafe au lait rose is one of my favorited also. I had one bloom and noticed gull and had to through it away and cried. My favorite of your bouquets would be the yellow and purple which has been my favorite color combination . I finally ordered a Penhill watermelon and Penhill dark monarch after watching your Dahlia playlist 4-5 times. I swore I wouldn’t order any more because of no room but I can’t help myself.

Oh, how awful getting gall, I would have cried too. Yellow sunflowers with either deep red or purple dahlias are by far the most popular at my flower wagon as well. I will need to plant a higher percentage of the yellow suns next year. For the first two years of my flower sales, I only grew dinnerplates and only sold them as single stems, people just love them. I decided to add more flowers to extend the season and to make bouquets.

My most prolific this year were Rip City, Cafe au lait rose and Breakout.

Breakout looks like another good Cafe au Lait replacement, and no surprise, when I just googled Rip City, I loved it! Thanks for commenting🌺🍂🙂

Interesting to note, here in SoCal 9b, Thomas Edison was my most prolific dahlia this year. It flourished with the most blooms in spite of surviving 109-112 F temps. 40% shade cloth and Morbloom fertilizer did the trick. Other standouts included Arabian Night. Cornel. Kelvin Floodlight. Wizard of Oz. Linda’s Baby.

My Arabian Night also slowed way down in the heat, Cornel Bronze trundled along but is doing so much better right now, I dropped Kelvin Floodlight this year as it is very similar to Wandas Capella - just not as full in the petals, Wizard of Oz did well but now that it i's fall it has lost its pink and is only white. Linda's Baby I have not grown, I just looked it up, it seems similar to Sweet Fabienne, which did great in the heat but has really slowed down now. With my dahlias in my front garden, as a visual billboard to the street, I don't think I can use shade cloth, it would defeat the purpose of having all the dahlias in the front, too bad. Thanks for commenting!

Labyrinth is definitely on my wish list for when I have more growing space. It is stunning. I was wanting to try Cafe au Lait in the future, but your observations about the difference between those two are helpful. Plus the colors of Labyrinth are far more appealing to me. I also had a similar experience to yours in that I ordered and received two tubers for one particular variety and one of them turned out to be Peaches 'n Cream, which I had not ordered. Well, I absolutely love it and will be continuing to grow it. I also grow Linda's Baby, Beatrice, Cornel Red, Cornel Bronze and Boom Boom White. A new one I am going to be adding is Gypsy Night. Those are all I have space for, for now. Thanks for this lovely long and interesting video!

I have not grown Peaches n Cream, Linda's Baby, Beatrice, Cornel Red, Gypsy Night, or Boom Boom White, but I believe Boom Boom White is very similar to my Petra's Wedding, which I love. Also, you are very welcome, and thanks for commenting!

Would love the first one that’s red and white because I have a patriot Garden I’m developing Are you selling any of the flower seeds by chance? I will look to see if I can find some bulbs.

Do you think it’s called Niagara Falls because that’s Canadian colors?
@EvelynM-vlogsАй бұрын
@@tammygillettVictoryGarden Hi,, it's actually called "Yarra Falls", sorry, sometimes my articulation is poor.

Dahlias are only true to form if you purchase the tubers. Seeds never look like the mother plant as they are a creation of mixed pollination. I, living in Canada, can't sell to you in the states without a proper export license, so you will have to buy from within the states. I did a quick check, Bear Creek Farms, in NY has them. I am sure other places do as well. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it!

Karma yin Yang is good too@@EvelynM-vlogs
@EvelynM-vlogsАй бұрын
@@angelabromley3712 Hah, at first I thought you where talking about the phylosophy of Karma Yin Yan, of which when I googled it means "The Chinese philosophical symbol of Yin and Yang illustrates all things are held in balance. The process of balancing is what we call Karma." Then I saw that it was the name of a dahlia, so I opened that up. It looks so much like Yarra Falls, but is shorter with a smaller flower head, interesting.
