I always thought Oscar was thrown out in the trash as a baby and has been waiting for them to return ever since. That's why he hates adults is so attached to the trash and he is nice to children because deep down he is himself just a hurt kid.

16:33 It's nice to see the agere community being represented. Although it's odd to be in littlespace permanently (I have never heard of this being the case, and I'm agere myself) and having a doctor trying to stop his coping mechanism.

It could be less of agere and being emotionally/mentally stunted due to trauma. Which would explain why it's more permanent and why a doctor would want the person to stop doing it. It's less of a coping skill and more of being stuck.

It wasn't that Snuffy was imaginary; it's just that the grownups didn't believe Big Bird when he told them his friend was real because of a long running gag of near misses. In the 80s, after a series of high profile CSA cases, the showrunners decided to drop the gag and have the adults finally meet Snuffy because they thought it perpetuated the idea that kids shouldn't bother telling adults something important if they aren't believed the first time. (That's the main reason, mostly. I'm sure by that point they were also running out of ideas of how to pull the gag.)

He once got question by a kid, His answer was about a child that a big fan of him but he was very Ill and has past away. Story #2: Big Bird once had the best friend before Snuffy as his imaginary friend. He then confessed to two woman why the man isn't responding (he never knew what was death) He questioned if he will wake up or have a response of comming back. But sadly the two woman gave his sad answer. Apparently Big Bird has very sensitive depression and was well known for Sesame Street. 🐦 Short Fact: Big Bird is Transgender

I never was scared of the monsters that we're scary. This was strange yet great to watch . Jim Henson wanted to make this puppets to help kids in there own lives to cope with feeling alone ,or help them to count ,to spell to read . Kermit the frog was his first puppet he made ,or close to it . When he made the Muppets show ,or Sesame Street he would bring kermit along ,but realizing that it was much easier to keep him on one show the other . Jim know that kermit needed to stay with the Muppets after all he was there leader . He also help with the fragiles down at fragile rock , they were at times shown on Sesame Street too . Funny how most people theorized while kids just see a t.v show . I know it's in good fun oh ,and far as my favorite show I realy didn't have one it's like them all better then watching the news ,or something else of couse the only live action show I would watch all the water though was star wars ,but even then i not think it would count because it still had puppets ,and aliens in it . I wasn't until I was 8 ,or 9 when I was starting to watch other things beside cartoons .

another theory, Oscar the grouch IS the grinch. After giving Whoville their presents back he had an existential crisis which led to him being depressed and ended up in the dumpster.

Your comment elicits a slight sigh of relief. Lamb Chop and Sherri were my absolute FAVORITE growing up, but no matter how many people I ask if they remember the show, or just mention it to, they act like they’ve never heard of it. How can anyone not recall singing along to “ The Song That Never Ends “ with Lamb Chop as a child? If someone insists Mandela Effect .... 😒

How's this for a theory; Kermit the frog's dad used to be the mascot for Wilkins coffee, meaning Kermit is the son of a psycho killer.

I forgot who owned the ice cream shop, but Cookie Monster ate everything inside except a platter of cookies. No one was inside the store, thankfully. He also had or dreamed he had the Midas Touch, turning those he touched into a large pile of cookies.

What if Snuffy is only seen by those he wants to see him? He slowly gained more confidence in himself and was seen more by others.

I always thought Grover struggled with self-identity, he is undecisive and doesn't know what he wants to be or whats his place in the world, because in the Elmo's World episode where its literally about "helping" Grover wants to help but struggles with figuring out how to help, and in the end he actually thanks ELMO for helping HIM And I always thought Elmo was the kid a village raised, since he was an orphan and Sesame Street was a safe neighborhood
