Love this content, just got 2nd at my local 31 man cup with BuzzRocTales. I also have a long time friend coming back into the game. Any chance the channel could do a "top tier tweaks" for Q3 decks? Zapdos has really, as you called it, set the pace of this format, and I think seeing how people have been forced to adapt lists would be cool to see.

I think UltraSquids is becoming the new "discard a bunch of energy for big OHKOs" archetype, largely because Giratina gives it a chance to keep up in the prize race against non-GX decks. Blacephalon is too one-dimensional, Malamar builds are much more flexible because you can tech in pretty much any Psychic-type to them, plus even some non-Psychics like Eevee/Snorlax.

I've been playing Zororoc a lot, and I think Lost March is at least in the close category if not in the favorable. They're just not consistent enough. If you judge them and take out their Hoppips before they evolve you win. Not to mention they need to find an energy every turn.

@@rhysgofton2072 I haven't tested with someone irl, I've only tested against it online, so I could just be running into bad players, but I've played against probably 10 lost march decks and only 1 beat me and only 3 in total were close games. I play 3 Enhanced Hammers in my list, so what I normally do is just constantly target down Hoppips and if Natu attacks, I can just E-hammer their DCEs and Guzma or Bloodthirsty Eyes a Hoppip.

Im the only one who thinks Charizard is actually way better than most of those decka mentioned at "Outside the top 10"??? I even think Charizard should be in the top 10 :) expecially with Flareon. Most Gx decks are smashed by this deck.

Passimion Koko can beat the Venusaur/Jirachi deck relatively easily if you tech in Lost thunder Victini and either rainbow energy or a single fire. It 1HKO's it with choice band and a full bench.

I'm surprised only 1 mill deck was mentioned. looking at this list, I see mill beating 7 out of 10 (quagnag, zekrom and malamar being annoying to deal with). Although some other decks outside of the top 10 like naganadel variants, gardevoir and it's self give it headaces its still very good at dealing with a lot of the format. I think if brought to the right tournament the archetype could easily win if you can avoid the players using heavy energy acceleration.

I think zecrom is a good matcup if you play wilord gx but lost martch is prety bad seens thye can chain marchado

@@benlagercrantz1431 zekrom is still quite rough because they can get a lot of energy in play really fast even with wailord or snorlax tanking you can still struggle to deck them out, its possible but not an ideal match up. Lost march on the other hand can beat you if your playing tag teams, but without them its quite easy win as you can take all of their energy fast and force them to overextend with cards like steelix and shuckle.

I heard him say decks like Rayquaza, the fast aggressive ones, are too similar to the likes of PikaRom but just worse. I think he likes them regardless but feels other decks just do the same thing better. I think he said the same for Blacephalon.

In the same way much people believed Buzzwole was out with the rotation. They believe Blacephalon cannot win with tag Team. Among all Decks besides Ultra Mally (too much Granbull still by the way), Blacephalon can one shot everything. What did Buzzwole needed after rotation? Beast ring, what tech granted it tops again? Alolan Ninetales for consistency. Well. Same tech can even inprove Blacephalon so much. I discovered it keeps consistency and throwing Beast Ring in Blacephalon is way more powerful.

Beast Rings have always been in Blaceph. The issue is with Tag Teams being so beefy and the played ones are fast. They can drop enough damage to KO Blaceph before it can reliably get set up to drop the 5 energies required to KO a tag team.

In this meta, unless people are not playing Alolan Muk, Sigilyph-GX is a valuable deck. With the push for OHKO, Sigilyph's Ability puts you in the power seat. I know some may laugh at this, but there are builds that opponents don't know how to deal with well.

Alolan muk gets a lot better in this format and I would expect it to see slightly more play, although probably not outside of zoro lists.

I agree, Sigilyph GX is a sleeper of a card. I keep one in my Zoroark/Banette deck, and it's very effective at keeping my opponent quiet until they can dig a Guzma out of their deck.

Buzzshrine is very easy for zoroark with magcargo. You draw what you always want do not have to play as many items and can cycle acerola and only really need 1 zoroark and a cargo

@@JustInBasil But nearly every spread deck runs a stadium to counter sky pillar. Machoke can't be countered without Guzma-ing it up and KOing it which gives you extra energy on the board and more time to setup attackers.

@@jakegearhart Machoke is super clunky though. It takes away a bench space you might have wanted for an Oranguru or Marshadow. It takes up two deck spaces and takes at least two turns to get going. And Ditto doesn't give as much value in Lost March as in other decks because it doesn't count to LM's damage when in the Lost Zone.

Marshadow GX can lay the smackdown on Pikachu Zekrom, but so does Ultra Necrozma. I think in builds running 3 Ultra Necrozma a Marshadow GX is easily swapped in, but otherwise focusing on Ultra Necrozma still wins that matchup regardless without giving Zoroark an easy 2 prize KO during your other matches if you start it.

I think Charizard gonna pretty good. Zard deck has good matchup against anything that has GX in it and even GX-Team up it can Two hit KO or even OHK ( Celibi&Venusaur for example ) while giving only one prize.. The problem is Low HP non-gx. Lost march is pretty hard , for example.

it gets caught in the crossfire of more Muk being in play with Zoro, Pikarom can Snipe through you and is a surprisingly bad matchup and ultra mally is much better vs you with 2 tina in the list, thier sky scorch is usually KOing both Magcargo

I'm really sad to see Granbull drop out of contention. Thing is people were playing Alolan Muk mainly to beat Granbull, it may well go in cycles where people stop playing Muk because nobody's playing Granbull, and that will encourage people to start playing Granbull again. That's how metagames work.
