Nearly all my luxury brand bags are preloved or vintage and I love them. Good for you to expand this topic. It makes things so much more interesting than the usual LV Neverfulls and Chanel flap bags - lovely as they are it's so repetitive & frankly boring :-)

If you have a bag that is missing the pouchette LV sells it as a replacement part for around $240, much cheaper then buying preloved.

I found this after turning to the pre-loved market because my recent first time store purchase was a disaster - they mixed up my purchase and gave me someone else’s. 😜 I was so shocked and turned off. What condition category do you typically buy? I’m just so nervous that I can’t see them in person, so I end up looking at Excellent and Like New. My current hunt is for the LV Papillon 30 with the mini. How much do you think is an ideal price to pay for this? The range is so broad.

That is awesome that you were able to find a bag that was born the same month and date that you were born. Yes! I am all about saving money! I always check there first. They have actually rereleased the Saint Cloud, but I don't like the new one. This is literally one of the most practical bags I own! KWShops hi. Thank you for replying. I recently just came back to Japan and found that the pre-loved market here is so incredible. As you said, the price here is much lower especially LV bags. I also found that the conditions are so great as well. There are so many pre-loved shops here. It is illegal to sell fake brand name stuff in the country so the products can't be fake neither. It was funny for me because people in Japan are skeptical to buy pre-loved bags from oversees and non-Japanese are afraid of buying things from Japan. No complain girl! I get it! We are afraid of the unknown.

Also, the monogram print is not as popular here in Japan. It is considered more for really young people like high school, college kids. I think that's part of why the price here is really low when re-sales.

I had many YSL Downtown totes since it first came out, in the large and medium size. They were extremely well made and I adored the edgy chic style of them. BUT the Downtown bag is definitely not a practical bag! It does not fit on the shoulder. Only if you are very slim (as you are) and don't need to wear a coat you can carry it on the shoulder, but it is definitely not comfortable that way.

Most likely, we are on different wavelengths! Because I ABSOLUTELY do not understand why women pay hundreds & even thousands of $$$ for these designer bags. I find them so boring and uninteresting, and definitely not worth the price. They are nothing more than snob-appeal hooks, overpriced 100-200 times, for those who allow themselves to be fooled. I would rather spend this kind of money for hi-tech gadgets or for nice vacations.
