My favorite smell from Disneyland stopped existing in 1995 when Disney broke The Peoplemover. Before invading the master computer, and preparing for the game grid of Tron. When you came out of Space Mountain on The Peoplemover you got the smell of food from The Space Place Restaurant. You would smell the hamburgers, desserts, and distinct smell of the round ripple cut fries that were coated in a parmesan garlic coating. My mouth is watering just thinking about those WONDERFUL Space Place fries. I will say this in the spirit of Offhand Disney “Disney you broke the Peoplemover, You broke the Peoplemover.”

Soarin' without a doubt has some of the best scents. Everything from the citrus from the orange fields in the old California version to the roses at the Taj Mahal for the new version is so captivating. You could tell where neatly every scene takes place with your eyes closed simply because of the scents.

My favorite smell definitely has to be that distinct odor in the boarding area for Indiana Jones...I've never been able to place what it is, but every once in awhile I'll smell something similar in my day to day life and I'll get transported right to Indy. Polynesian & Tiki Room smell: mostly Teak, Bamboo, and other exotic & fruit woods, by now artificially enhanced. Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth, Star Tours, non-water tracked dark rides, and general Animatronic smells: Ionized, faintly greasy air (ionization from sparks in relay banks and older electric motors).

I love the smell of the steam trains of the Disneyland Railroad. It’s a very unique smell and probably comes from the burning of the French Fry oil they use to power the locomotives. The train at Knott’s Berry Farm also has a similar smell, there’s just something exciting and nostalgic about it. Also I love the Soarin’ Orange Grove scent but it’s gone now so rip

I’ve been to Disneyland15-20 times in my lifetime and I’ve seen a lot of change. Your videos take me back to some of the best times in my life. There’s a distinct smell that is in certain buildings. Like in some places in Epcot and the Contemporary resort. The best way to describe it is “clean”. It smells clean and light. Every time I go to Disney, it literally feels like i’m breathing cleaner air. Also the Polynesian resort and Main street USA are some of my faves. My nose is trying so hard to imagine the smells... Wish I was there

I think deluxe Disney Hotel lobbies in general have really good smells. Wilderness Lodge is really great for example. Some other choices I like are the H2O shampoo at the hotels, flight of passage, and the orange groves (rip). I might get hate for this, but I low key like the Tomorrowland speedway smell (but not nearly as much as the ones on this list)
