I do think theming Rock 'n' Roller Coaster to the Muppets is a great and hilarious idea, but it's also the case that that's the *most* extreme coaster at Walt Disney World, and the Muppets are a theme with broader appeal, so, yes, there needs to be something else if they want to make adequate use of the Muppets. Could be MuppetVision 3D, could (more likely) be an entirely new show.

I agree, after sitting on it a bit and mulling it over, I don’t hate the idea of the Muppets taking over Rockin Rollercoaster, depending on how they execute the changes. Personally, I think they should do Muppet covers of iconic rock songs (I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.) rather than teaming up with “today’s biggest stars.” I am holding my breath on what they will do with the movie…my hope is that they will put it where the villains show is going to be and then it’s like we have a little Muppet corner.

You mentioned the Sesame Stret movie! I honestly doubt the Sesame Street movie is even happening now. It keeps getting pushed back and pushed back. I don’t have high hopes of seeing it anymore unfortunately.

The original muppets show was all about highlighting current (for the time) as well as iconic pop music stars, so I feel like muppets taking over the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster makes sense. It’s on brand. Just watch a few episodes (or seasons) of the original muppets show and it will make sense. That being said, au revoir Rock ‘N Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith… le encore. And yes, putting the film part of MuppetVision on Disney plus will be awful, because Jim Henson directed the entire experience. The animatronics, the visual effects in the environment, Sweetums walking through the room, the lobby and the preshow will all be lost. It’s upsetting.

I'll still champion a new Muppet themed land next to and surrounding the former Rock n Roller Coaster. If they want to build out more rides in that area, they owe us all the themeing that's being wasted from MuppetVision.

Disneyland: Bring back the people mover, Move Star Torus to Starwarsland and put a updated Adventure Thru Inner Space back in.

Fingers crossed they just move the show to a different location, lord knows they have the room for it at WDW, but knowing how Iger's Disney works they'd probably fill in the World Showcase Lagoon to do it.

I'm very conflicted about it. I want new stuff but I don't like how they're closing muppet vision and changing rockin roller coaster. If they can save muppet vision somehow maybe then I'll give it a chance

Noone cares about them getting rid of muppets courtyard. What they care about is making sure Muppetvision is preserved.

I would like to see Muppet Vision 3d Preserved in a deleted Disney ride VR product but the Muppet roller coaster sounds like a really cool idea and fits better than Aerosmith (which can go into the deleted Disney ride VR product)

Muppets 3d should be moved, and most Disney Vloggers on KZbin are literally in agreement about this, suggesting it should be moved to the area behind Rockin Rollercoaster. Rockin Rollercoaster is going to be s hard sell to parents with small kids, because the babies won't be able to go onto the rollercoaster with them, and so the Muppets are now going to be another thing families can't enjoy together which negates Walt's original vision for his parks.

How big is the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor building? I legit haven't been in there since it was Circle Vision with the Timekeeper and I was 10. What are the actual legitimate replacement ideas if they move Laugh Floor to DHS? Otherwise the immediately entrance to Tomorrowland from the hub is kind of barren with two empty show buildings.

I like the coaster retheme, I hope they keep physical muppets in the park. Still devastated about losing Muppet vision. I hope they do it justice in some way.

Love your ideas! I really hope they move Muppet Vision 3D into the racing academy building, complete with the same preshow. And I’ll go a step further: bring the Muppets Midship Detective Agency game to Hollywood Studios. It’s insanely good. And the tech can’t be that expensive. I’m sure they won’t, given that they removed Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.

And I don't think reskinning a coaster is a suitable replacement either, because that eliminates all of the younger Muppet fans as well as some of the older ones, or people with disabilities. The Muppets deserve a dark ride that's accessible for everyone.

Muppets 3D on Disney+ would not have the same effect as the show in the theater because there are characters involved in the physical space that directly affect the plot of the show. The only way they do it on Disney+ that would be remotely acceptable is reshooting those scenes/changing the plot for it to make sense. The show's plot is directly tied to it being in a theater.

Was gutted to hear the news but your thoughts have helped me be at peace. If Disney had enough forethought they could’ve also moved the Muppets to The Great Movie Ride (please don’t come for me - I’ve just never been on Runaway Railway and have no attachment.)
