It is criminal that Tony Jay’s Frollo is not on this list. In my opinion Tony brought a very human and scary portrayal of Frollo to the big screen and his performance in the song Hellfire is simply unmatched by other performers.

I remember something about Jim Cummings being the double for Jeremy Irons when it came to sing Be Prepared as Jeremy's voice went out or something along that lines. Jim sang the last few lines of that song and you wouldn't even know it at all.

It's interesting that Hans Conreid, who voices Captain Hook, also voiced Mr. Darling, as it was written that way in the play. Both are strict and easily annoyed, but Mr. Darling is also a father who loves his children and wants what's best for them.

She did an absolutely fantastic job bringing to life a really underrated Disney Villain in my opinion. I knew Jeremy Irons as Scar would be number one the VERY INSTANT I saw this video title! “The Lion King” has been among my all time favorite animated films ever since it came out when I was only two years old and even now in my early 30s it STILL NEVER FAILS to completely amaze me in every sense! It’s no wonder why nearly everything about The Lion King is always number one among WatchMojo/MsMojo’s lists! Like the rest of the stellar cast, Jeremy Irons completely gave it his all, and him singing “Be Prepared” NEVER FAILS to give me the chills nor glue my eyes to the screen!

What makes Scar (and as a whole The Lion King) so great is that Irons treats it like you're playing Shakespeare. In that sense, Scar is like the great Shakespearean villains like Claudius and Shylock: villains that have a grudge for how the world has treated them and how they will resort to any means necessary to get their due, even if it means murder.

Top 3 (In my opinion): 1. Jeremy Irons as Scar 2. James Woods as Hades 3. Pat Carroll as Ursula They make fantastic work on voice acting these villains, gives us the chills when they portray their characters. I honestly would've put Hades on top because James Woods' rapid pace talking, sarcasm, personality and his comedian side portrayed a different and special villain, making him more iconic as the years go by, however, Jeremy Irons performance on Scar always stands out to the rest of them. The voice sounds so interrogating and ecstatic, it fits so well into the character, it feels like he's a villain in real life. Great performances from the actors, they did a very good job on these characters.

As much as I love Scar from the Lion King, Jeremy Irons had to duet Be Prepared with Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh/Ray from Princess and the Frog/etc). Jeremy was the speaking voice while Jim did all the singing for Scar. I had no idea for years because its a really amazing pairing that it sounds like it could be one person.

The versatile Miss Felton also voiced: The Elephant Matriarch and Mrs. Jumbo in DUMBO; Aunt Sarah in LADY AND THE TRAMP; Flora and Queen Leah (Aurora's mother) in SLEEPING BEAUTY; and a character listed on her IMDb page simply as "Elephant" (though her name was actually Winifred) in THE JUNGLE BOOK, which was her last role; like Walt Disney, she died before that film was released. One might say that her career with Disney began and ended with elephants. 😉Also, besides her voice-work for Disney, she performed (not just as a voice) in dozens of movies and TV episodes...and that's not counting her stage and radio work.

Jeremy Irons broke his singing vocals while singing "Be Prepared" song number in Behind the Scenes recording sessions, so Jim Cummings stepped in to filled up the song number of "Be Prepared" that Jeremy Irons was supposed to performed, but in the end, it all worked for the best and it's one of the reasons that the 1994 animated original is a masterpiece, thanks to their efforts and along with anyone else involved in that movie.

Eartha Kitt was wonderful. Still loved all the cat cameos in her movie which was homage to her role at Catwoman in the 1960s Batman, Since she could growl and purr like a cat and just had this laugh that could either be evil or fun evil. She used that laugh in a episode of a show she was on when she was chasing a team of baseball players with a lawn mower to get them in shape and faster. You tell that this laugh was a fun evil.

Most of James Woods line were improved and a good chunk of those was with the actress who voiced Meg. The story behind that is that one of them was leaving for the day after recording the lines and the other was coming in and the two just started to have fun in the Hades and Meg persona to which someone on the Voice team heard them and brought them in to record together which is rare in voice recording hence the lines. One of the lines that is said to be improved is the 'meg meg my sweet little nutmeg' line but i am not sure

Should have know Jeremy Irons would be #1. Every time I see him in another movie or on a talk show I immediately recognize that voice because of his performance as Scar in The Lion King. Chiwetel Ejiofor didn't even come close in the 2019 remake

How about [the late] Miguel Ferrer as the Villain Shan Yu, The Leader of the Huns in "Mulan"? (I don't mean the remake, to be sure.) In my opinion, Shan Yu is a Cool Disney villain in his own right, in part because of Ferrer's vocal performance. Said performance may not have been over-the-top or "Shakespearian", but it can be debated/argued that it didn't need to be. Heck, he didn't even NEED a song, the epic Orchestral Scores during his screen presence (conducted by the late Jerry Goldsmith) were MORE than enough to send chills down the spines of many! And who could forget Ferrer's Angry, blood-curdling Roar of Defeat when he lost track of the Emperor of China? I often compare Shan Yu to Batman, mostly due to his own realism, that is, in terms of his [possibly exaggerated] strength (albeit second to Chien-Po, maybe?), weaponry, brutal [and at times deceptive] tactics, and leadership skills [Leading an Army that's been SEVERELY reduced to Five other Huns, Mind You!] to make him more than threatening and to back his would-be conquest, not to mention the Huns were Real Terrors to both the Chinese and the Romans, among other nations. And, among other ways of describing the Character of Shan Yu (including his otherwise unclear motives for attempting to conquer China), Rebecca [from this WatchMojo franchise] once said, "he is the embodiment of brawn and brute force with a chilling exterior." >:) Did I mention his Wicked Sword (that looks remarkably similar to "The Secret of N.I.M.H.'s" Jenner's Sword), and his [mostly] Loyal Pet Falcon, Hayabusa? >:)
