That *Cultist Base* riff is heavy AF!!! By the way, what's the brand name of that *dimebag-shaped 8-string guitar?*
@coneplays36913 жыл бұрын
Heavy as balls!! The guitar is a Dean ML-Modifier 8! Thanks for watching!
@dumb_emo53 жыл бұрын
Fun fact: the Cultist Base riff was actually made with a chainsaw instead of a guitar. If you listen back to the song you can hear it.

That bending technique going above the nut on Meathook is pretty slick. I always thought it was just played so hard that the string was going slightly sharp.

Meshuggah must learn how to write heavy riffs like Mick Gordon.

the ones in the DLC weren't written by Mick Gordon, he said he wouldn't count it in this video, but i feel like he will do a cover of them eventually

I wanna start playing Guitar. And I wanna choose this type first. Would it be a good idea?
@coneplays36912 жыл бұрын
As in a 7 or 8 string? I started with 6 and jumped straight to 8, it was like a completely different instrument. I think it would be best to start with 6 or you might get overwhelmed.
@ftfgamer9992 жыл бұрын
@@coneplays3691 Understood! I was thinking about the 8 string as shown here.. Also, Can I play the same doom riffs on the 6 string? Edit: Don't roast me if I said anything wrong. I am a total TOTAL noob. I only know Guitars have types and different amount of strings. That's it.
@coneplays36912 жыл бұрын
@@ftfgamer999 Hmmm, if you got a baritone 6 string you could play these riffs. The tunings are really low so need a long scale length and thick string gauges. Alternatively you could try an 8 String, as for the 8 string in this vid I think they discontinued it.
@caanannethken16593 жыл бұрын
Yo my man! Wtf is the tunings on these? Fucking drop G or something? Fire 🔥🔥🔥
@coneplays36913 жыл бұрын
Some are super low! Here are the tunings for each of the riffs: 10. Drop E 9. Drop G# 8. Double Drop B 7. Double Drop D 6. Drop A 5. F standard 4. F standard 3. Double Drop D 2. Drop E 1. Double Drop D
@caanannethken16593 жыл бұрын
@@coneplays3691 appreciate you my man, I really fuck with the riff at #8. Shit is heavy enough to break a Diamond
@coneplays36913 жыл бұрын
