The most intriguing harmonizing in Hangar 18 is actually the slow, groovy bridge in the intro ( Friedman plays and holds the high bends that sets up the tone, and Mustaine enunciates with the low arpeggios ), that leads to the chromatic sliding harmonized riff that forms the verse ( where you start playing ). Its really that bride which injects the whole alien feel to the song.

If you listen to Angels Crying, Nothing to Say, Nova Era, Acid Rain, Time (one of my favorites) and Rebirth you will know that they choose the right man for the job.
