This list feels all over the place... taming a dilo is about a million times easier than taming a dolphin, for example. Dolphins tend to get bored and bugger off and unless you have flippers, a friend, a raft, or some means of keeping an eye on them and constantly getting their attention again then you will find yourself ripping your hair out trying to get one of them. A Dilo you can just walk up to it and punch it, or bust out your newbie slingshot and toss 3-4 rocks at it's face. Hell, i find even knocking out a carno is faster and easier than chasing down a dolphin.

When taming a raptor in a pack, I usually bola all of them, choose one raptor, and then kill all the others so I can feed them to the raptor I want. 👍 Edit: Dear god why so many comments, this comment is so old I went through three names. Thanks I guess Edit 2: I guess since people are still seeing this I should clarify what I'm actually doing: I'm getting the highest level raptor and then killing all the low level trash so I can feed the better raptor, and then do that with every pack. I don't do this much anymore tho

I think the first entries on the list are actually the easiest. Dilo's, Scorpions and raptors are consistently really easy to tame, while the Ichty can actually be a pain. Especially because there are just always Megalodons around and for some reason the Ichtys sometimes stop coming towards me after a fed them a couple of times. Really frustrating.

moschops can be one of the earliest tames in the game as it can be tamed with just mejoberries. I found a 145 who just wanted berries. Was a tank and basically could kill anything I saw. Great early tame as long as it doesn’t need like prime meat which could be tricky if u don’t have an ichthyornis. I recommend getting one of you are struggling for hide and meat.

i dont really agree with the list... how are dilos harder tames than pteras? unless you 1 shot them you pretty much have to bola them. and could want pretty hard to get stuff like bee honey or organic polymer or prime meat and prime fish which is hard to get early on. also with otters if you have a big fish to feed it the fish gets in your way when you try to feed and then you simply un-drag it, it is easy if it doesnt happen but ive tried for 15 mins just for 1 feed which is annyoing

My first raptor tame was by accident, the dam thing chased me home and got into my door before I was able to close the door. So it got stuck in the door way and I started poking it with a spear. But after two hit the spear broke and the only thing I have left was the club. So I clubed it until it fainted. Then I remembered the meat in the fireplace and the chest so used that to tame the raptor. It was one of my proudest moments in ark.

People usually use tranquilizers to tame a raptor, but bruh, they're literally my first tame, and if not, my second. All I do is literally slingshot them fast in the head, and usually they knock out. One time, I just started out and knocked out a easy level 140 which helped me get through a lot. And if the bola breaks, they usually run away and come back which gives you time to bola them again.

By the way for the otter another easy way to tame them especially if you're solo is to skim the water surface with your argentavus, and you can pick them up. Then your argentavus can just hold them on the beach as you go fishing so you don't have to keep finding it again and chasing it while dragging fish.

When I see moschops, it’s raw prime meat, rare mushrooms, bee hive, and every so often berries. Ichthys also are rlly hard for me because I’ll have to feed a level 1 like 15 cooked meat and at some point they swim away from me constantly, and at about 90% it will start loosing tame for no reason. Then I finally got one and it was killed by a group of like 20 jellyfish.

Everytime I play Scorched Earth I tame up a small army of Scorpions right off the bat. They're a dime a dozen on Scorched earth doesnt even matter if they die. I tame every scorpion I come across and them send them on suicide mission to go get hide and meat and collect the chitin when they die.

I was attempting to tame another raptor so I put my current raptor on Passive so that it wouldn’t attack the raptor I was trying to tame. Guess what decided to show up... a freakin Therizinosaurus came up and I ran away and I don’t remember if that’s how my current raptor died or not. Sad times

I think the Scorpions tail is their headshot bonus. I may be wrong tho. I believe I heard that in another video.
