Yes! Nirvana can be considered punk especially the first 2 albums(they are grunge, and that is by definition fuse of metal, PUNK, and alt. rock). To say "Nirvana is not punk enough to put it in this video" is like saying "Queen isn't a rock band" (They were the fuse of bazillion genres xD)... The point is: I think it's more critical to put "Wake me up as September ends" in a video for pUNk solos...

The thing with nirvana that most people don’t get is that grunge is a post punk genre that is primarily based off of punk with elements of other genres in it. It’s a similar thing with pop punk and metal punk, there all originate from the post punk movement

Nirvana is _considered_ a grunge band, but they really aren't. They made way for the true grunge bands into the mainstream, but Nirvana was far more punk than anything else.

I can see why people think that nirvana is punk, but they’re universally considered grunge. They even considered themselves to be not punk because they were to melodic to fit the genre even though they were clearly inspired by some punk bands as seen in songs such as Tourettes, Territorial Pissings, and Breed.
