It’s definitely no surprise that “Holding Out for a Hero” made number one. Even though it’s actually a rendition from the original Bonnie Tyler song from the 1984 film “Footloose,” Jennifer Saunders definitely DID nail it out of the park with this one and it’s hard not to imagine this version whenever we think/hear of this song title. It’s completely epic and perfectly matches Shrek’s epic “break-in”

I always loved that lullaby that Moses's mother sang to him at the beginning. Apparently the production team thought the actress playing her was so pretty that they made the character look more like her. That whole soundtrack is surreal and gorgeous, like there's not a single song in it that's bad.

Number 1 and number 2 were set in stone. There was no question about it. ‘Holding out for a hero’ is too iconic, and The prince of Egypt is a masterpiece. Ahh my childhood was great 😩

When I clicked the link and first started watching this video, I at first thought “Playing With the Big Boys” from “The Prince of Egypt” was going to make the list, but when I saw “The Plagues” made the list instead, I couldn’t have been happier. I only saw this film for the first time ever nearly 2 months ago and I CAN’T STOP WATCHING IT! “The Plagues” is so catchy I can’t get it out of my head and it was a scene I had to keep rewatching over and over and over again with the speakers/headphones blaring at near maximum volume!

9:35 Is it just me or does Oscar’s face looks EXACTLY like Will Smith’s? That film was released in 2004 and motion capture was in its infancy so I highly doubt that they used it for his character! Animation can be sooooo magical sometimes! Nevertheless, the resemblance is uncanny!

As much as I love Ramses II in Prince of Egypt its hard to watch that movie now without hearing Voldemort. But as for a favorite Dreamworks villain, I say Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2. I like the overbearing malice he radiates and his confidence. Plus, come on, Gary Oldman playing a cartoon villain. Always a treat

It's not true. 2-3 years ago on West End was musical stage version and they filmed this before final performance. On UK you can watch this - December this year on cinema or later this/next year online. On Spotify/Tidal and other music service you can listen full soundtrack this musical ❤️

Man, playing with the big boys feels more like an actual villain song since its sung by the actual villains rather than the lament of the punishment wrought by the plagues, though the back and forth between moses and ramses is definitely incredible, like a lyrical combat. Theres some incredible covers out there of both though, from jon young and caleb hyles as well as Black Gryphon and Samuel Kim. They bring even more power to the songs and it's amazing, esp Jon and Caleb's rock versions

Personally my favourite villain song is sadly not a dreamworks film. It’s called Other Friends and it’s from the Steven universe movie. I love it just because of the tone the actual villian. Even though the song is played in a minor key, i still get a chilling, creepy happiness or enjoyment out of it. It’s short but, what a song it is.
