Alt + i + c for adding column, Alt + i + r for adding row, Alt + i + w for adding new sheet, Alt + i + s for adding symbol, Alt + i + o for adding objects like pdf, word documents, etc.

Alt is not a shortcut it’s a hotkey… New column is ctrl & space, ctrl & + New row is shift space, ctrl & + New worksheet shift & F11

Remove DUPLICATES - ALT+A+M (no need to press together, can press in the order, one after another) to remove duplicates; once u have selected the cell/array Cltrl+Shift+3 for converting in date format

Ctrl-Shift-4 for currency formatting works if you use the 4 on the row of numbers at the top of the keyboard, but not if you use the 4 on the keypad. Just FYI.

I know and use them all regularly. Shortcuts save mouse miles! Here are some of my other favourites: F4 (during cell edit) will cycle through all relative/fixed cell reference options, F4 outside cell edit = repeat last command (useful when formatting and applying cell styles), ALT-D-S to sort data, CTRL+ALT+V = Paste Special, ALT-F-R = Open recent file, ALT-O-D = Conditional Formatting, ALT-D-L = Data Validation.

Great summary, Leila! Knew them all; regularly use 8 of 10. Keyboard shortcuts in Excel save so much time. The only issue is that some keyboards shortcuts vary across versions of Excel and also across keyboard / country settings. In addition to those you noted here, I rely heavily on - Crl+; for inserting the current date, and Ctrl+D for copying values down from previous row, and F4 to redo the last command, and F4 within the formula bar for toggling absolute references, and F9 within the formula bar for solving portions of formulas, and Ctrl+ Arrow Keys for moving around, and Ctrl+K for managing hyperlinks, and Ctrl+Z for Undo, and Ctrl+Y for Redo, and Ctrl+Enter for entering the same value in all selected cells, and, and ...

Ctr+[ (open squsre bracket) is one i use daily too: it leads you to the cell being refenteced. Great for auditing or understanding how formulas are built, when you're discovering a file.

I use all these short cuts.. plus tons of others everyday... I work as an ecommerce data analyst...i get huge data sets mostly in CSV/Excel files.... It took me 3 months in my training period to get adjusted to the work.. The beauty of social media is you can get these in under 60 secs.. But, you need to keep in touch with these short cuts everyday else you're gonna forget it..

Not a keyboard shortcut, but I've seen so many people trying to widen columns one by one, where selecting the whole worksheet and double-click on one of the verticle cell borders in the header does the trick.

Amazing but I'm still waiting for a proper Ctrl+Shift+V to paste as values. Why does it work in the web version and not in the full application? There are multiple workarounds but why not just make it work as it does with every other application in Windows? Heck, even the Mac version of Excel does a better job. Rant over but here's my list of not as good as it should be alternatives to Ctrl+Shift+V to 'paste as values'. Put insert a 'paste as values' icon in the first spot on quick access toolbar and then use Alt+1. Easiest to use but requires setting up. Ctrl+V, Ctrl, V (clunky but at least your fingers don't need to travel far) Got to get into the right rhythm with this one. Ctrl+Alt+V, V (again clunky and still too many keystrokes.) Context menu key, V (if you have the context menu button key on the right of the keyboard, press it once, then V) Requires using different fingers from Ctrl+C so despite needing fewer keys to press, can be awkward to use. My least favourite is Alt+E,S,V

Alt+n+v : insert Pivot Table Alt, a, c : Clear filters Alt+down arrow, e : access Filter search box Alt+down arrow, f, And then e for Equals or n for Not equals and so on Very fast filtering navigation. Ctrl+F3 Name Manager Ctrl+Shift+u I work with large nested functions in my formulas and regularly use Ctrl+Shift+u to toggle the formula bar into single row versus multirow view adjusting the latter with your mouse once or as needed but it's a quick way for me to jump between a single row and a four-row view.

3 of the shortcuts I didn't know, now I know 👍🏽 Alternatively to drag and drop with shift key, you may use only keyboard mouse-free; select the whole column you want to move (CTRL SPACE) then cut (CTRL X) then move by arrows to cell you want to paste before its colum select it (CTRL SPACE) then paste (CTRL +), by this the whole column will be moved before the other column you selected only by using keyboard, works even by copying and for rows
