It's not true. The "Studie-bidrag" is not for everyone. You can apply for it if you study in another city or if you need help to pay the rents while you study. And Americans consider high school for 14-18 year olds. And the "Studie-bidrag" is for people that go to what you'd consider a college or university which means 16 and up.

Number 6 is not 100% correct. You can get ' studiebidrag' as long as you are in school. But the amount of money increases depending on your age ( I believe) Number 7 is not correct. You need a fishing card to fish in some of the lakes :)

+Kim Gran It doesn't increase, From age 0-15 the parents recive the 1050kr, They can also decide to give the kid the money if they want to. From 16-19 you alone get the 1050kr, but only if you still go to school. At age 15 kids are allowed to drop school and start working if they like. and after 19 you can still get a support but then it becomes a Loan if you still are stuyding. (Doesn't have to be 16-19, can be 18-21 if you decide to study again a few years later) But after 21 you can't recive these 1050kr, also if you do the school 16-19 then wants to study even more, like on a university then you'd still have to take the loan. The 1050kr is a part of "gymnasiet" think it's the same as high school.
