ARK would be the perfect setting for a decent horror mod. Most of these creatures would be an amazing addition. Kelpie and Wendigo shocked me by not making the final cut, but I'm glad they got an honorable mention. Hydra's placement was a no-brainer, lol! Great video, as always!! :)

In terms of fantasy tames, I don't know how they'd work, but I always wanted more elemental golems like Fire, Water, Earth (meaning similar to the Forest Titan), etc.

@@arkking552 I mean completely different elements. I mean Earth in a sense of like Vines or Vegetation (more of a stretch the others), and the X-Rock Elemental is more lava than pure fire. Although, admittedly I have no idea how we'd get a saddle to make sense on them since flames aren't solid and it would need to be similar to the Magmasaur's saddle that protects you from extreme heat.

@@balderodinson502 Yeah! I couldn't word it how I was intending, but they'd disguise themselves as trees instead of rocks. Water elementals could hide in puddles or bodies of water. Fire is tough though since there's not harvestable/interactable thing that fits fire.

The really nice thing about fantasy creatures is that they really attract the attention of modders! I can name off mods for almost every creature featured in this video that either plans to add or has already added one of these mythological beasties! ARK: The Sunken World has a lot of the aquatics like the kelpie and hippocampus The Additional Creatures series has a whole cryptic based sub category with things like Mothman and the like Monsters and More adds in an eastern dragon inspired critter Kraken’s Better Dinos actually adds in functionality to the unicorn that allows it to transform into a Pegasus! With cross platform mods coming to ASA, everyone can look forward to enjoying messing around with these beasts from legend!

The Hydra would definitely fit as Mini-Bosses around the map on Extinction to test yourself on before summoning the Titans. Maybe guarding Element Veins instead of corrupted waves.

I allways felt like Ark devs missed good opportunity to implement fantastic creatures into the game... Imagine if there was one more Ark in the story, Ark that was based on human myths from all over the world... As for Hydra... It should be swamp based monster, not ocean based... There's one creature that wasn't on the list, that I think would be cool and very easy to implement is a kind of tree creature(Ent/Leshy) All they would need to do would be to just size down forest titan tbh

Hydra could be added in as a mini boss with five to nine heads depending on level, with a mechanic where you need to wear it down and decapitate heads while it’s on fire (to prevent regen) until you are down to two secondary heads and a main head, an you need a mech per two or perhaps an elemental golem per secondary head to grab and hold down its heads while you do something to the primary head to knock or out to tame Or even decapitate all secondary heads successfully then cut off the main head, and take it with you to a special tek structure that’s a chemical vat that you place the head in to regrow a new body as a tamed hydra

Honestly, more humanoid tames like the Minotaur would be cool. Make it like a Gigantopithecus but with a Charge attack and able to harvest Meat. I think a Pixie shoulder pet would be cute too. And definitely more Elemental golems.

I loved the video and ideas but they’re where still many creatures that you missed which where the amphithere which could be a sky yuti that spawns in crystal isles and extinction, lost island, and gen2, the lindwyrn that could clock itself the spawns in fjordur and aberration and gen 1, the thunderbird which would spawn in scorched earth during thunderstorms, and ragnarok, and crystal isles, th cockatrices which could wake up knocked out creatures and spawns in the center, scorched earth, and valguero, a for legged dragon that would be like the sky spino spawning on extinction, gen 1 and 2, valguero, ragnarok, lost island, the center, and fjordur. And the jackalope that could harvest carrots from bushes and spawns in every single map. I hope you like my ideas. And I hope it’s not too much for you to put at lease 4 Four creatures I mentioned

Chimera in its modern form could really be more like a grotesque mish mash of creatures. Perhaps at home in rockwells inards or being a new corrupt monstrosity. So ill make that here is an essay. In a normal version i think a mess of creatures works well. Imagine a creature with the body of a thyla, scales of a sarco, armor of an anky, spikes of a kentro, legs of a procoptodon, feet of a raptor, arms of a gigantopithecus, claws of a Therizino, the neck of a carno, horns of a trike, trumpet of para, the frill of a dilo, jaws of a megalo, eyes of tuso, teeth of a megapirhana, the long wispy tail of a diplo, and a leech head at the end of said tail. A horrorifying and rare elusive beast with great power. I think instead of a helena dossier as we have normally it would be awesome to have this creature referenced in one nerva's stone tablets. Or something like that. A creature that shrouds itself in mist and roams the dense forests of the island at night. At blazing speed inflicting annihilation upon like the night feeder in primal. Something unatural, rare, and horrifying. Yet mystic and wonderous. That concept was tameable and for something like the island. In a corrupt concept. We can be more grotesque. Having a giga sized creature walking with a limp on all fours. With a mess of 2 main legs and 2 main arms like a leg of a giga, a leg of a bronto, a rexes head and torso, and metallic tek ruins all covered in corruption make up its arms and legs. While the disfigured rex face acts as claw. Leading to mess of arms, legs, and heads coveing its shoulders and hips and corruption holding it all together. Entreals and organs, exposed bones, gore and viscera along the sides of a massive torso made of stegos and ankies stitched together. And the otherside being gears, plates, stones, and bones all cemented together by the corruption. With a tuso's beak in its chest that could open to reveal the throats of wyverns and blast a elemental beam. Burning, freezing, bleeding, scauilding, poisoning, shocking, and blasting its foes. Tentacles and screaming faces on necks like tentacles streaming from its armored back. The heads coming from sauropods, arthropods, humans and more. 2 tails made of liquid element spitting basilisks with broken jaws and empty bleeding eye sockets turned to husks by corruption. A longish pliosaur like neck with a 5th main limb poking out the side like a giant fleshy mantis claw made of human parts and corruption. A mess of tendrils forming a shaggy flesh beard on the underside of the neck and fina from reapers and wyvern wings. 2 or 3 heads sit atop this neck a long thin skull like a spino that splits down the middle making the zombie like exposed jaws split in 4 directions with a titanoboa for a tongue. The second head being a mammoth with a leech mouth below its trunk and corrupt element nodes growing from its tusks. The main heaf could be a giant raptor head with trike horns that vomits like experimental giga execept the giant raptor head is made of mutilated raptor heads. The beast would have wings but wouldnt fly these could be made of a mix of parts from broken meks and a healthy mix of pachyrhinos and pteranodons to make three tattered garagantuan wings. This would only spawn from the red and purple orbital drops or in the blood hollows. Maybe even being restricted to an eclipse event. That was a untamable and massive extinction concept. Probably goaing toe to toe with the the titano and space whale. Gen 2 i think could be something like the graphorn from hogawrts legacy or perhaps something tolkien inspired. But it would also have a thin and starving look to its body. A seeker like face with the back slits too. No tentacles though, instesd a long thin snout like an ardvark. With a long thin tongue and sharp needle like teeth that are completely black. A fleshy composure as if only covered in a thin layer of raw slimy skin. A more a more lizard like body shape with but with the skull of a bird. It might walk on its hind limbs very akwardly and run quickly on all sixes. Having 2 pairs of arms for sticking to the walls of Rockwell. A stubby and flaring lobster like tail with no shell. Hands like littele scythes as if they were bird wings with no Feathers. And finally a bunch of eyes on its snout, some wolf ears on its hips, a giant vertical mouth where its sternum should be. Skin covering the eye sockets of the bird skull. The fins of its tail would lengthen like 5 little ribbons that are actually eels. Around its ardvark snout it would also have 4 trap ant jaws. Inside its mouth would be a leech for a tongue. Maybe tameable but im not sure. Definitely the smallest, only being a bit bigger than the player but standing shorter. Summary for chimera concepts For the first concept think of it as a super agile mega hybrid that in general body size is close to a carno with paleo carno or raptor like movements, and a greater length. Being a tameable normal creature with mix of reptiles, birds, dinosaurs, and mammals. Intended to be fast and good at ending the living's free trial of existence. The second is a groteswue corruption "mini-boss" concept basically designed to make either the blood hollows truly a place to fear or just to make orbital drops that much harder. The third is a smaller more humanoid yet also more fleshy rockwell resident. Designed as a new friend or foe to disgust you. I dont think we need more lions. We have a manticore, griffin, and the shadowmane. Plus the thyla which is a false lion even in name despite not being a cat and its closest relatives, are creatures like the Possum. Now even saying that i think a shadowmane or normal lion, shinehorn, titanboa could be interesting.

Pegasus ,chupacabra , or the Rake... chupacabra on scorched earth... see there eyes glowing at night . The Pegasus on any map they hang out around valleys and rocky outcrops areas . The Rake a night time creature that tends to prowl around structures with glowing white eyes and is fast, any map !

People assume Grapeshot and Wildcard share some base core accepts because of Snail but this is actually incorrect. While the two survival games reference the base accepts created by the same creator, that creator is not Snail. Thou they could be related in some capacity its doubted since the creator in question does have quite a library of base fair use accepts; key words there being fair use. it is actually simply a preference for the same accepts that are classified as fair use and are present in some Indi survival games as well. So fun fact I asked a while ago peoples opinion on what would happen if say Grapeshot and Wildcard came together to kick Snail out of their games for the countless controversies they started (and oh boy is that a rabbit hole that goes further than Tea tribe's current STUNT) do you think we could see one giant game? if so what features would you like to see? I for one would love the ship building and freshwater/saltwater mechanics. I think it would be intriguing to force players to have to find fresh water sources or rely on juices form berries and fruits until they could successfully make grog or other more portable hydration methods.

Alright so after some brainstorming Here's what I got for how to tame them For the Kirin As I mentioned Untameable The Hippocampus It will be a passive tame If you're brave enough to confront it It will stand it's ground and try to push you away Stand your ground If it realized you're a courageous survivor It will allow you to feed it Ammonite Bile(they actually eat this in mythology) Afterward you can make a saddle at lvl 56 The Chimera It's a SE boss Untameable Just like the Manticore Boss fight is at the obelisk but it's Arena is the Coliseum I don't have a move set ot stats for any of these Cerberus It's a passive but you can't aggro it You need Sauropod Vertebrae Just give the doggy a bone and he'll be loyal It will have the Mane taming method but with Sauropod Vertebrae BUT Nothing can be around it It's very aggressive and will only lay down if nothing is nearby After you tame this You can either ride it without a saddle but you will be roasting Saddle provides temperature protection (like a Magma saddle) and is unlocked at lvl 66 The Oriental Dragons They are highly intelligent and ferocious Especially when protecting their homes Show them you can protect their homes by bringing it gifts(tribute items) Some will only accept certain items kinda like moschops If one doesn't want Rex arms it probably wants argy claws If you can successfully tame one You can make it's saddle at lvl 79 Minotaur Untameable Boss fight at the Obelisk And it will teleport you into the sunken City of Nosti(the Church cave on SE but it's a completely different area) The Kraken The new boss on Fjordur It's Terminal like the other 3 are in a cave and has a tribute list Bring the terminal the Kirin Relic and alpha tributes and you may fight it It's Terminal is located in the Abyssal Depths(the Mosa/Tuso cave) in Jörmungandr Skull do bring a radiation suit for that part Bring tames that are powerful and can't be grabbed by the Mighty Kraken like the Leviathan Speaking of the Leviathan To tame this monster of the deep It's home is on Gen1 It is a passive tame To do so You must swim down there Leave your mounts behind for they are considered a meal to the beast You are hardly worth its time You must bring it Tuso Tentacles and just swim up to feed it It's an easy tame No different from taming gigatopitecus But the really trouble is that you must be lvl 95 to be worthy and the creatures that lurk in the deep No mounts meaning no real way to defend yourself If you are victorious in acquiring one You must be lvl 100 to craft its saddle One that can act like a submarine and can use to haul tames around Now for the Titanic Hydra It is tamebale like the Forest Titan and it's brothers But to do so There are 3 nodes like the rest 1 on its back And the other 3 at the base of the neck of head 2 and 4(poison and Ice head) It is no different from taming the others But this isn't why you're here You want a Hydrake Hydrake are only obtained by kill the Hydra(taming it will get rid of the Hydrake(s)) After you kill the Serpant Titan you can check its lair for eggs There will be 1-3 for every fight you do You can take them home to hatch After that Feed them large amounts of meat They'll grow to the size of a rex in body size Length wise almost a bronto As for a saddle They do not have one To make up for it They have a 25% armor similar to reapers And this is all I have If you are reading this Tell me your ideas about this Thanks and have a good day

Is it just me or would anyone else want all the creatures that are on these votes to make it into the game throughtout all maps? Right now for instance ocean biome seems a little behind compared to others with unique creatures. Perhaps oceans on all maps could be expanded with more unique creatures and perhaps even engrams with items and stuctures more suitable underwater.

We should get a DodoMosa or DodoReaper (DodoMosa would make more sense because then we would have a Land Creature (DodoRex), Air Creature (DodoWyvern) and then a Water Creature) Also a DodoTitan would be extremely funny
