@@mpup54 😪 you don't really understand, do you? Records are things that allow athleticism to move on, back in the time it was almost impossible to imagine a Man running 200m in 19:90 but years after years it became normal and even weak. Now people are going to run after Bolt's record and someone will break it and another one until it will mean nothing to run 200m in 19:19 or even 19:00. Although, I will admit that Bolt's record might remains longer.

@@mpup54 ...Noah Lyles said he was going to break the 200m World record, but after running some extremely perfect races, and couldn't get past 19.4's he changed his mind, he had no idea how difficult to run 19.19. however Yohan Blake got pretty close without running a perfect corner, apart from Blakes career threatening Ham string Injury, there was an American named Xavier Carter who was on track running some great 200m, but hamstring injuries ended his career, I don't think we will ever see the Blake of the past again, apart from getting older he has a significant psychologically scare transmitted from his leg to the cranium.

I can only imagine what Blake's time would be if he didn't have a crappy start at Brussels when he ran 19.26. With a better start, perhaps 19.20 or maybe under the world record
@biglilrichard
@biglilrichard 7 жыл бұрын
he only needed an reaction time of 0.18 or so seconds to break the WR, and that kind of reaction is perfectly reasonable for a top sprinter

Richard Bao if we went harder on the bend he probably wouldn't have had all that energy on the straight
@biglilrichard
@biglilrichard 7 жыл бұрын
Rino Watson It's not about going harder on the bend, his bend wasn't excellent by any means but it wasn't the thing that cost him the world record. The amount of time that it took for him to get out of the blocks basically eradicated his chance of breaking the wr which was very realistic with the speed he ran
@sub10-zin15
@sub10-zin15 7 жыл бұрын
Rino Watson his drive phase wasn't that good and it was his bad pick up that cost him not to get the world record. I'd say he ran the bend really well and the straight away was spectacular
@AthleticProductionz
@AthleticProductionz 7 жыл бұрын
At first glance, it looks like a poor bend until you realise the guy next to him is also running a ridiculously fast time. I really hope he can get back to where he was people talk about him as if he is just an average athlete now as if they can't remember that he is the closest thing Bolt has to a rival and that without Bolt he would be the fastest man in the world.

Something seconds Bolt could’ve ran Backwards and easily won the 200m going out in a winning note, he’ll that’s his favorite race, he was in no shape to chase Coleman in the 100m even Stevie wonder could’ve seen that, still the G.O.A.T though!

1. I don't care what yall say ,,, but 2:47 until 3:07 was just a perfect cut,,,from the beat of the song to the turning of Bolt and Blake,,,to Yohan staying right on Bolt's tale,,,what a perfect shot and legendary race. 2. Yohan is underrated and as much as l respect Bolt, l love Yohan more and he's just a Beast man,,,his speed is amazing and as much as he is kinda second to Bolt he always gives his all and you can see that. He is exceptional. 3. Michael Johnson's stride frequency is insane and holding it for 200m just shows how strong his body is. He's outta this world. 4. And as for Bolt,,l like how sometimes he runs for fun and just kinda goes to enjoy the race while making sure everyone is still observing his heels... However when he decides to make a record you can see it on his face and he makes sure he does what he came to do. That's how iconic he is. Truly a legend on the Track.

Does anyone know what effects going round a corner has on their speed, and if the track was a straight line would it be quicker?
@liampost9132
@liampost9132 5 жыл бұрын
The bend does hurt your time a bit. A straight race would be slightly faster

@@liampost9132 I agree with you. Take Tyson Gay for example, in 2009 he ran he's faster 200m with a bend in 19.58 seconds, but in 2010 he ran a straight 200m in 19.41 which is a lot quicker in sprinting terms. You could say he ran faster because he was in better shape, but I think a straight 200m is quicker than a bend

Bolt is the greatest runner of all time, no question, but Michael Johnson had the perfect form. If you look at the video it looks like his entire head and torso is just hovering. Smart, efficient and graceful.

yup he could have if he really tried. Nobody to push him though. He even admitted it back in 2009-2010 his goal was to get or even break 19s. And he had the ability. Sadly too lazy. Typical jmaican attitude he got comfy with the celeb side of things & cos there was nobody else anywhere near touching him except blake for a while... he got complacent & settled under his full potential. Still the fastest ever but could have been better. So Johnson is still the G.O.A.T in athletes terms

sean pence a bit of what you say is true about the laid back style, but don’t for one second take away his hard work to get there. The man trained his arse off. You don’t run those times off being, “lazy.” Someone who says that hasn’t a clue of hard work. You my friend can go fuck yourself 😘

Merci

I still think Michael Johnson’s the greatest 200m runner. Back then he had no one to chase as a target. Whereas bolt always had Johnson’s time as a benchmark.
