You made a pretty simple mistake. You forgot that rider weight really needs to be included in the power to weight ratio to get the actual number a rider sees. Let's consider the rankings after taking in the typical weight of the average rider for each bike. Add 250lbs for ranks 1-9 on the list because they're only ridden by overweight accountants suffering a midlife crisis, add 100bs for the Hayabusa because that's the average weight of a 15 year old and it's a bike meant for beginners.

My back of the coaster math says the Lightning @218mph (highway speed??!?) for 100ml range is 27min riding time before a recharge, probably for 40min to 80% on a fast charge then a 22min ride before another recharge. 😮
@jakegarrett81092 жыл бұрын
100 mile of range is going to be for slow conditions, Power is 8x to go 2x as fast, so lets say the estimate was for 50 mph (which is probably accurate assuming some in town), that means 200 mph is going to use 4^3 = 16x the power (though it does go 4x further in the same time), that means your 100mile range is likely closer to 25miles (if they used 50 mph for the range estimate), so that would be 25miles/200mph * (60min/1hr) = 7.5 minutes at full throttle. That sounds about right.

I’m feeling a little disappointed here as an S1000RR owner. You didn’t even mention the M1000RR. I would have expected to see that one in the #2 slot with the SL in the #1 spot. What happened Yammie?

but it is not worth starting on a supersport because of spec sheet nerds buying 3 second ones but literally crashing them as long you are not a spec sheet nerd then you can start on a supersport (but the kawasakk ninja 400 is according to bladed angel the best starter bike in the planet earth and that is just a normal sports bike but not a not a supersport so be the judge of that)

However, IMO torque is most fun: 1. Lightening electric 168lbs-ft 2. Kawasaki ZX14R 113 3. HAYABUSA 110 4. Kawasaki H2 105 5. Aprillia RAV4 92 6. Ducatti V4 90.6(lol) 7. Ducatti Superlegerra 85.6/87.7 8/9. Honda/BMW 83 10. Yamaha R1 79 Main takeaway: BMW S1000R is best price and performance

Is there a reason why we keep leaving the ZX12R A1out ? I own one and I still have not had someone who could pass me at 220 Miles per hour. Is it because it’s now on the restricted list with most insurance companies so it’s not street legal in some countries????
@A500-g6g2 жыл бұрын
What's this restricted list u speak of. As in its more expensive to insure or? And yh the zx12r can put 220mph on its speedometer, real speed 195 roughly. And it possibly is the fastest stock untouched motorcycle ever made from factory. As most are restricted from that point on.

Ducati superleggia, it's a road legal track bike with limited release the same as Honda rcv213 MotoGP bike. Power to weight to cost get a 250 or 350 two stroke. Next to no weight but capable of immensely high speeds with a basic tune, but basically banned in some states in the US
@GearHeadGeeks2 жыл бұрын
Too bad you don't use the most useful metric. The area under the curve. But then you would need dyno charts for that. Maybe another list using still stock but de-restricted. That would be the most useful and realistic.
@jakegarrett81092 жыл бұрын
For street use (not track use), other factors come into play: example, I personally don't want my engine running 16k rpm trying to commute long range on the highway. Can it handle it? Sure, and that's exactly how you'd drive on the race track, but if these are road legal, ideally you aren't JUST maximizing average power output (area under the curve), you're also hopefully making it more enjoyable for the street as well. Another thing I notice is the first gear is exceptionally tall on some of those bikes (like 100+ mph in first gear, that seems a little high for street use). Is it ok? Of course, you can still clutch wheelie those things all the way up there, but it seems like you loose some fun of shifting and never technically needing to shift into all your other gears for highway speeds even.

I worked at a motorcycle dealership and when I tell you to not buy an Aprilia I mean it. They are ass, you can't get parts, they typically send dealerships the wrong parts (if they are in stock) and they just don't like to be running.
