The most spectacular section of roadway is the road from Banff to Jasper. There is no place on the road that you can not stop without it being a postcard. The Canadian Rockies are like nothing in the lower 48. Also I stopped at a lake beside the road and caught a Pike, a fish I use to draw pictures of as a kid but had never caught one ( Bucket List thing).

Have to agree. BC is beautiful and Banff is even phantastic in winter! (Ok, I said that and it doesn't freeze in California). We spent xmas in Banff 2 years ago and we hit 29 below - still a nice day to sit in a hot spring! Such an amazing place. I drove though BC and Alberta for about 6 weeks back in 1989 - in an RV of course. Best camping trip of my life. Back then you could go on the trans canada hwy and drive all day seeing just a handful of cars. Good times....

Keep up the good work. just got 1000 slides from my Dad when we did across canada in a car with five people, then came back via USA. We did it in 1975 and it is still in my memory, so your kids will remember this time for ever. Keep up the good work

I discovered your video by researching RV living, and I’m addicted! Your family is inspiring. I’m a homeschooling mom to my youngest child (11) who is still at home, and he and I have began discussing road schooling. I’m looking into ways to work on the road either by work camping, or online remotely (taking classes online now). We started looking at travel trailers that would work for us, and rated for my truck (thanks to your video covering that.) Our plan has no set date, but the goal is to get our travel trailer, and hit the road within two years max. We are living vicariously through you guys, but taking notes on the good, the bad, and the ugly of RV life on the road. I’ve learned so much from your videos, even though we haven’t watched them in order. Thank-you for devoting yourselves to your videos, you guys rock!! Elaine and Peyton

I am watching old video's as I always learn something new...So glad you guys LOVED Canada. Canadians are always joked about for being "polite" and of course we end all our sentences with "eh"...LOL...I am certainly proud of those jokes...Glad you were welcomed and sure hope you return. The eastern coast of Canada is stunning as well if you ever get really ambitious...but I might have to warn you (drum roll plz) you wont find as many upper crust rv parks on the east...LOL...You guys have seen some wonderful places and I cant thank you enough for the run down on what to see etc... I had to chuckle when the hubby was trying to explain about the place the boys got the jobs...LOL...YOUR HUSBAND IS A SNOB...haha...when you said it was kind of "state park'ish" I couldn't help but wonder "What's wrong with that?" ...LOL...I guess the hubby likes his amenities and luxury...LOL...and that's ok too...I personally have no problem with "state park'ish" as full time rv'ing comes with that...goodness gracious, I would have a good old belly laugh to see him stay a night in "slab city"...LOLOL...ok ok, even I wont spend a night there...haha...I am so sorry you didn't make it to Jasper...what a treat to see that with ones own eyes...it is stunningly beautiful and awe inspiring as to what a perfect little place should look like...hopefully you will get another chance to see that...happy travels folks...love the video's ... and as always, remember "It's a Wander-FULL Life" indeed! Stay safe and stay well.

Can't wait to cross over into Canada on our travels -- wow wow wow! Thanks for the inspiration and ideas. We would definitely have an incredibly hard time picking favorite places but whenever people ask us, we always mention Hwy 395 in California. That whole stretch: Tahoe to Lone Pine is stunningly beautiful. Did you visit Mono Lake in Lee Vining?? Incredible place. Also, Oregon is our home state so we loved the love you threw at it...it's just a phenomenal place, every part of the State. If you haven't heard of the Wallowas, put it on your list for next time. I love your Vlog. I live in NC. On the coast. I am a paramedic, so time to travel is sometimes hard to find. Last August however my girlfriend and I stayed in Boone NC. The Camp Ground was Grand Father Camp Ground. The prices were very reasonable. There is an amazing amount of stuff to do near by. From out doors to shopping or even a tour of the Bailtmore House. I was wandering if you were planning on ever heading east, lol. I know the appalachian mountains aren't as huge as the Rockys but you should see it. We have a Forest River Wild Wood Its a front kitchen and rear queen bedroom on a slide. So a Super slid for the booth and couch, and one for the queen bed. No issues pulling into the Camp Ground. Thanks for taking the time and sending out your journey.

#LoveAlwaysAdventureOften it is very true when you say that. Seeing it as a child as well in my opinion enriches your relationship with nature long into adulthood. For most of my childhood my family would camp, fish, hike, etc., and for my older sister and I; we love the outdoors (more so myself), but unfortunately our younger sister was never able to experience it. I've taken her on the road with me for a few weeks during the summer since I'm a truck driver, but her connection with wifi is more important than being on the open road and in nature. I however am looking for a change in my life, and although I know it's going to be a few years until I can stably go full time; I'm in the process of looking for a travel trailer. Even though I know I'll be by myself most of the time, I'm planning on getting a larger one for the sake of being able to take family and friends along for the ride at times; most notably my younger sister to help strengthen her connection with nature and to show her you don't need wifi to have a good time.

Jack Quinn Dennis the first time I went to Yosemite was when I was 7. My older sister and I slept in a tent while our parents slept in a old hi-top gmc conversion van. I woke up at the crack of dawn, looked out of my tent and saw deer in our campsite. Then once that sun hit a certain point..... everything turned to gold. At 7 years old I began to actually cried at amount of beauty I was seeing. This was back in 1996.

Good morning, Thanks for all of the ideas on the west coast! Can't wait to visit. Now, being from Montréal, Qc, you need to visit the east coast - come and visit the provincial parks in the province - some will blow your mind - Gaspesie peninsula (St-Laurence River Drive all along), north coast of the river - you can access the great water dams of Hydro-Quebec (look it up, it's unbelivable). Then, there are the Maritimes - Prince Edward Island, Halifax (Titanic cemetary), New Found Land (ferry to and back) with Gros Morne National Park...the vikings were there a long time ago...and you can still see some of it! As you said, there is so much to see while camping! Thanks again for all of your videos - really appreciate your travelling ideas. Happy Camper Montréal, Qc. Canada.

Wow, so, Whistler & British Columbia favourites in your top 10...how wonderful....since I've lived here all my life! Thankfully, North America wide, the list would be endless no doubt! Of all the times I've been to the Palm Springs region, I've never been to Joshua Tree Ntnl Park! Will put that on the bucket list Marc/Tricia! Will be heading down that way this winter, so we'll certainly have to squeeze it in! Would love to know if you've done the January 'Quartzite' gathering, which I hear is amazing in itself, albeit you have to deal with the crowds of course. I've boon docked there in the past a couple of times, and but never in the winter when the large RV show takes place, and the community of individuals gather! At any rate, always looking forward to your next video...and hope to catch up to you two since you are back in Vancouver!

We just started travelling in our van. Our first stop was Banff! I absolutely loved it there. There is so much to do. We didn't make it up to Jasper either, but we did get to Peyto lake. We were there this fall, and having a van made it easier to park overnight. We were able to park in downtown Banff on some of the side streets. We even saw some RV's parked on the street as well. I would definitely recommend people visiting Banff.

I imagine the fall was nice. Even snowing a little? Peyto Lake remains on our list + some more hikes. Never enough time. We have too much going on to go as slow as need to see everything.

Yeah, it got pretty cold when we were in Banff. It made it below 30. We almost thought about leaving, but it was too amazing there. Now, we are still determined to keep our original planned route which means we have been in the cold for the last 3 months. There are so many great places to see in Canada and the US.

Thanks for all the hard work that you do to make your videos look effortless; my wife Heather and I have watched almost every episode! If you have plans to visit Spokane or Olympia, WA this next season, we'd love to at least communicate with you when you're in the area- I work about 1/3 to 1/2 of the year in Olympia, and would love to show you our state capitol- I have connections! Again, thanks for all of the great traveling tips, common sense, and family-oriented entertainment- we've enjoyed it so much. PS- we are about 4 months away from buying our first RV- we are selling our house, and down-sizing to a smaller home base that will allow us to travel during the summer. Pray for us! Bob

Thanks Bob! What a great area. We'd love to visit Olympia, but not sure when. Lots of plans in the works. Congrats on your own upcoming adventure.

Looks like your in the desert now. I can't believe I'm saying this, but we still have not been to Joshua Tree and it's on my bucket list. We just 4x4 the Mojave trail from the Arizona-Nevada boarder to California as our last big adventure apart of the original plan and I freaked out when I saw my first Joshua Tree. There were so many in the Mojave preserve. I'm ranmbling. I think we will head to Joshua Tree, Yosemity and Death Vally after Christmas.

P.S. I lived on the oregon coast for 3 years and I lived in Bend for 3 years. You didn't miss much in Newport. Yachats just south of Newport is cute, and Pacific City just North is pretty, but Bend beats all that by ALOT!

I was watching this episode with my son the other day and he said: " I saw that guy in SLO, he was sitting on a bench with some homeless people and I thought to myself, I have never seen a homeless person with teeth that white". I really enjoy your channel and have learned a great deal from watching. We are traveling with a 26' Forest River toy hauler. My son commented on your politeness and asking him how he was doing. I liked the hair clip and bacon crawdad rig, growing up in Alaska we use to use bicycle rims with the spokes removed and net added to catch crabs in Homer. Be safe and perhaps we will cross paths one day.

I just bought a motor home, and your videos played a bit part in convincing me to do it. Thanks for sharing all of your adventures!

Hmm... "bit" part sounds more literary but I actually meant to type "big" part. I can't RV full time just yet, but that's my dream. Watching your adventures and how you pull off working and living that dream has been very inspirational. It's easier said than done! You should definitely be very proud of the motivational videos you're making. Step 1: buy a motor home. Step 2: figure out all of the other steps to get to full-time RVing.

I loved this list of locations. We were just talking of doing a “road trip” in the next year or two and this has so many spots we want to go to, and have been to 👍🏻 We live in Oregon and LOVE Cannon Beach, but I might have to check out the spot you stayed at in Bend. We go often, but usually driving thru going to families houses in the area.
