My favorite Fender, which I purchased, is a 2014 US Fender Strat /Guitar Center Limited Edition with a solid rosewood neck and Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups. I made 1 small mod to this axe, I installed a mini toggle to turn on the bridge pup at any time. I also changed the pickguard and knobs but that is cosmetic. I'm not sure why this LE isn't in demand everywhere. It has been awesome for me. Excellent vintage tone, especially the middle pickup. 10 years later and it is still my favorite. If you get a chance to play a used one, it is well worth your time.

I’ve owned a few Fender guitars over the years. The classic vibe series is a fantastic value but 9 times out of 10 when I reach for one of my guitars, the one I’ve been pulling off the wall this past year is my Richie Kotzen signature telecaster. I don’t know what it is about that one, but for a fairly “simple” design, it can do pretty much anything.

My first electric guitar was a cheap "Stratocaster" copy from a company from East Germany, in 1982... it was horrible, but at that time I didn't had any experience. And some years later I bought me an Ibanez Roadstar II and that is still a good guitar... After years, in 2002, I bought my first Fender Stratocaster Professional in antique green and I was impressed by the sounds. I really love this guitar because of its character. But I was a bit annoyed that the Pro II, that came out a bit later, had a lot of new features that the first version didn't have. Also the two point trem system was okay, but I decided to create a new two point trem system for this guitar. I used titanium and now it's an absolute great sounding guitar. I also will try out bronze in combination with titanium. I changed the trem system completely, including the saddles, the plate, block and springs and spring claw... and added a resonating block were the spring claw is mounted. This guitar has a lot of sustain now, but I'm still making some experiments and I still have a lot of ideas... For my next experiment I will buy me a Fender Stratocaster Player Plus PF SSB. For me it's a good guitar in a high quality, cheaper than the Ultra or other guitars in this price range. I want to try out other materials for my trem system with this guitar. I still dreaming of a 1964 Stratocaster but this is just too expensive and realistically I never will buy one. So I will go my own way and I have a lot of fun. Maybe I will start a internet shop, if everything is developing well. 😉 Also I like to upgrade my guitars, it makes the guitars a bit more like me and the sounds that I have in my mind. At the moment I have 7 guitars and there are still some more I want and that I need. The Chapman's that I have are a ml1 baritone and an older ghost fret. The older ghost fret will be upgraded with new humbuckers, new strap buttons in better positions, and with a scratch plate in black metal and a new fixed hardtail bridge out of other material... Happy New Year! 😊🤘

I don't think the bullet is worth £299 (£380 if you adjust for inflation considering the video is from 2017). It's a nice guitar, but you can definitely tell it's a bit cheap, compared to the £260 yamaha pacificas. It's thinner and lighter, which might be desirable, but it makes it feel a bit cheaper. The tuners don't stay in tune as well as better ones either. It's not bad, but I don't think it's mind blowing for the price, anymore at least. You can find great guitars for similar prices (harley benton, pacifica, sire for £250+ etc.) that are sometimes better than the bullet even when they're cheaper or the same price.
@FrankFurther11 ай бұрын
I think its a bit of a lottery, but if you get a good one they can be every bit as good as a Mexican Fender for a quarter of the price
@BlazertronGames11 ай бұрын
@@FrankFurther they might play as good as a mexican fender, but the quality of the wood, hardware and electrics is what will be cheaper. Even the squire classic vibe will have cheaper parts compared to a mexican fender. I think the price is much more to do with the build quality and attention to detail, rather than the tone or feel. I don't think I got a bad one. It just feels a bit cheaper than some other cheap instruments that I have. But it feels good to play.
@JGAbstract11 ай бұрын
I love my bullet telecaster. I played it more than any guitar I had. I think it's amazing for $120 I got it for. But yeah I agree, it should not be anymore expensive than $150. It definitely feels different than my Classic vibe and my American fender. For the price I got it for, it's outstanding. But once you get any higher, you might as well get a better tier Squier.

Hey Rob I’m wondering what your opinion of the Les Paul 2015 traditional are now looking back? I’ve just rewatched you and the Caps video during that time. I have the opportunity to maybe get one. The robot tuners, removable scratch plate, adjustable brass nut & wider fretboard. Gibson doesn’t seem to be doing any of that now and I’m not sure how desirable the general guitar community find them. Anyways thanks!

The Fender Modern player plus really is a great guitar , just underrated because they were made in China ( shame that people still think , for a guitar be a great guitar this one need to be made in USA , Japan , Canada) . The Squire Bullet is just the most fair guitar quality price and sounding . I think in my opinion , the Fender Baja Telecaster should be in the list , i believe is the best telecaster ever made by Fender till this day

For all that I love that Strat DNA, I have never owned an actual Stratocaster. Not a Fender, not a Squier. I got a bunch a good knock-offs, though. I'm no pro, nor semi-pro. These are indulgences, not investments, so I try to get the best bang for the buck that I can. I got two Donner knock-offs of Squier's current Affinity series Strats. Careful waiting and pouncing saw these beauties come to my door for less money than the Strats -- AND with better specs! I've seen other guitars that were deals that good and better since then! Better watch it, Fender -- those other guys have upped their game more than a little!

I have a 52 re-issue Fender telecaster - my all time favourite guitar - shame I cannot afford an original 52 though 😂😂
@edwinstovall333411 ай бұрын
Rob, I had and have neither love nor hate for the Starcaster headstock. What I hated about the original was the plate bridge. I was still a teenager then, had been playing maybe two years before I got a Fender catalog with their entire lineup in it. I mention these facts so as to give an idea about my mindset of the time, which I just had to force myself to remember. I didn't know anything about guitars except that I liked trying to play them and I liked some things about them well and other things less well. For whatever reason, I just didn't like the look of that early Starcaster's plate bridge. I much prefer the current arrangement, with the "Adjusto-Matic" bridge and "anchored" tailpiece. Yeah, I realize that it moves the look towards something resembling a slightly-melted Gibson ES-335, but I think the whole effect comes off better. It's all personal taste, though.
