K0ragg It's not that you read in the darkness, but it's that if you read a shit ton you strain your eyes to focus on something so close so much. Your eye's resting focus starts to physically become near sighted, so you become near sighted. It makes sense if you think about it, especially because our eyes are physical in nature.
@K0ragg

***** That doesn't mean it destroys your eyesight, they get strained anyway if you read too much, you're simply accelerating the process. Obviously, everything is bad in excess, but you won't require glasses if you do it every now and then.

Avis Quinn, that's about right on. Water in large amounts is dangerous for you and yet you cannot survive more than 3 days without some form of it, this includes milk as milk is mostly water, especially 2% and 1% milk.

Most people can't agree on whether it's "hot or cold enough for ya" or "mac vs pc", you expect them to agree on moderation being key? There are FAR too many food keyboard warriors that claim to know what's healthy and unhealthy, completely ignoring the fact that we're all different, and not one is held accountable when one of their followers believes their garbage then suffers from some form of dramatic vitamin/mineral deficiency. I've asked every vegan I've come across online; "hypothetically speaking, what happens to all the animals of the world should all humans turn to veganism?" I'm generally meet with a name call/insulted or ignored. It's a valid question that none of them have thought of. Can't eat the meat, use the hide/feathers/what have you, no work detail, nothing. So, what happens with the over abundance of animals?

An apple is not an apple no matter how you look at it. Apples today are very different to apples 50 years ago - today they have been altered and 'bred' for size instead of nutrition. Some studies suggest that apples today have 35% less nutrition than apples as little as 10 years ago. This is the same for many fruits and vegetables sadly.

Apples are made mostly of water, fiber and sugar. "Nutrition" means macronutrients (apples are mostly carbohydrates with trace amounts of proteins), and micronutrients (apples have small amounts of potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron, vitamins C and A). Bigger apple means more nutrition unless it's more watery. Then it gives you more hydration. Example, modern strawberries, a product of hybridizing, are more watery have less nutrition per gram than wild strawberries - doesn't mean they're worse! And you can't get enough micros from apples (or bananas, or ANY single kind of fruit) alone. You need a balanced diet. Most fruits are healthy food either fresh or baked, because of the fibers, but processed ones, like caramel or flavour additives made from apples at that point are just flavoured sugar. So "health snack" granola bars with "fruit" are not healthier than a Snickers bar.

That's because aspertame contains a moderately common allergen. In a few people it can cause reactions. But so does peanuts, and people don't call those unhealthy because it's only bad for a few people (like gluten).

What does that have to do with anything? It doesn't matter what you're buying, the only way to go bankrupt is to have started a corporation and spend money to the point where you need to liquidate all of the company's assets. Although I suppose if a person was truly massively retarded, they might manage to go bankrupt privately; however I find the dilemma of one person having to pay millions upon millions in USD quite unrealistic.

I am so glad that I grew up on a farm and that my parents and family still live on and operate our property to this day. We literally have everything grown and produced for ourselves. Cows for milk, cows for meat, pigs, sheep, goats, ducks, chooks, seafood from our dams and rivers, fruit trees, fruit and veggie and herb gardens, the list goes on! Along with all of that we also make our own bread so really the only items we buy from the store are some pantry things and toiletries etc. we are pretty much self sustained with all of our dairy, meat and fruit and vegetables. The best part about all of that is we know what our animals are eating and how they and all of our produce is treated. I feel so lucky that I grew up with that life and although I now live in the city I have fresh produce from home delivered every week :)

“Why breakfast is the most important meal of the day” You might think that the recommendation not to skip breakfast is just plain good advice. After all you need enough fuel to make it through the morning, right? But research has found even more reasons for making room for the "most important meal of the day." Probably the most appealing benefit is that breakfast jumpstarts your metabolism and, thus, helps you burn more calories throughout the day. When you eat breakfast you're telling your body that there are plenty of calories to be had for the day. When you skip breakfast the message your body gets is that it needs to conserve rather than burn any incoming calories. "Studies have found that although people who skip breakfast eat slightly fewer calories during the day, they tend to have higher body mass index, or BMI," says Christy C. Tangney, PhD, a clinical dietitian at Rush University Medical Center and an expert on the effects of diet and nutrition on heart health. "We use BMI, the ratio of a person's weight compared to height, as an easy measure of whether someone is in the range of his or her healthy weight or not," she says. "A BMI of 25 or higher, for example, indicates that someone is overweight and needs to take action to come back to their ideal weight." Advantages of eating in the a.m. Various studies have found different benefits of starting your day with breakfast, including: Having a lower BMI Consuming less fat through the day Meeting recommendations for fruit and vegetable consumption Having higher daily calcium intake Having higher daily fiber intake Having better performance (memory and attention) (for school-aged children) "Much of the research just makes good common sense," says Tangney. "If you start with a healthy, satisfying meal in the morning you're less apt to nibble on less nutritious things during the day, which we often do out of hunger - you grab the first or easiest thing in front of you." Disadvantages of missing a morning meal Various studies have found a range of disadvantages of skipping breakfast: More likely to be overweight Less likely to meet recommendations for fruit and vegetable consumption More likely to consume unhealthy snacks Studies of children and adolescents have shown that those who skip breakfast are apt to be overweight. "Of more concern is that an association has been found between skipping breakfast and other risky behaviors like smoking, and experimenting with drugs and alcohol," says Tangney”

Kartissa, Look up Agent Orange GMO. GMO are made pesticide resistant so that it's possible to spay a field and everything will die except your GM crops. When weed becomes resistant to common pesticides, you'll have to use something stronger like Agent Orange with Agent Orange resistant GMO. GMO is big money, and there are a lot of lobbies paying for for fake results and to twist the truth. Real science don't have the same luxury, so when you see different results, know who is bought and who is real.

When not eating gluten is a fad, gluten intolerance includes celiac disease, but is not limited to it. Non-celiac gluten sensitivity, gluten ataxia, dermatitis herpetiformis, and wheat allergy are other forms of gluten intolerance. When only 1% to 2% of people do suffer from celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity affects in between .5% and as many as 13% of a given population. Myself, I do not care what was the cause of my gluten intolerance. Since I removed gluten from my diet three months ago, I have not puked, no acid, and reflux, no stomach ache.

+Benign Gamer My problem is multiple things. 1. the GMO crops are killing all the bees, without bees we'll be dead in a year 2. The pesticide that they're inserting via genes into the plant pokes holes in the insects stomachs, which is almost exactly what celiac does, and celiac diagnosis has increased at practically the same rate that GMO crops have increased. As well, my aunt who was diagnosed with celiac can eat bread that has wheat in it in Europe (where there are no GMOs) and be totally fine.

My reason for eating organically grown foods are to avoid pesticides. I've never heard anyone suggest they were nutritionally better. I worked with these pesticides and I know that I want to avoid consumption of even a little bit of them and some are very difficult to remove from the fruit or vegetable skins. If I don't eat the skin of the fruit or vegetable then I don't have to pay the extra $ for the organic product. Onions - organic; avocado - non-organic.
@MrBilld75
@MrBilld75 6 жыл бұрын
You are NOT avoiding pesticides though. You are getting pesticides that are far worse than GMO. Shit like Copper Sulphate, which is one of the only pesticides allowed on crops by the USDA. Organics is just a money scam. There is nothing superior about it. Literally nothing. There is actually less mycotoxins in GMO and it's just as nutritious. Proven by numerous studies.

In the last several years the USDA has significantly raised the tolerable level of glyphosate (RoundUp) herbicide used on non organic crops. Also there has recently been a number of studies showing that glyphosate destroys beneficial gut bacteria. I wonder if this has any correlation to the increase in recent years of people with digestive problems. Might also be correlated to hormones and antibiotics found in non organic meats.

+wizard brandon They're not chicken's periods. It's simply an ovum.   In humans, the uterus gains a lining to nourish any fertilized eggs. The "period" is the shedding of the lining. A chicken can't become pregnant, so there's no uterine lining to shed, hence, it's not a "chicken period". The eggs pass out of a chicken in the same way that unfertilized eggs do in humans, it's just that with a chicken, it happens every day instead of only once per month, and it grows and gains a shell on the way out.

Sarah Carroll Not so sure about bad food coming out from anywhere but the back side. However, other bodily contaminants may leave through the sweat and oil pours. After years of hearing crap from them and spending huge amounts of money (and precious time) in useless creams and lotions; what finally cured me was a drug that changed the way I metabolize fats. bacteria my ass! Of course each case is different, but there is definitely a relation between food and health.
@AlaidsTrancy
@AlaidsTrancy 8 жыл бұрын
Virginia Mori Thank you for that comment. XD I think it'd be pretty scary if we're all not smart enough to know that food effects our body because we don't have some type of degree. This should be common knowledge. It's like when Nicole Arbor said teenage girls can't post selfies or photography of themselves to Instagram because they're not an actual model or photographer doing it as a career. My comment is just me trying to be helpful. I started introducing healthier food into my diet and I've noticed that it has been improving my skin. ^^ Everyone is different, so they have to experiment with foods and all these things to see how their body responds. Oh and about the creams and stuff, I've been researching what people put into those, and I've seen a few DIY skin cream videos on youtube. I think I'd rather try that because it's probably less expensive, and healthier. -3- Just felt like mentioning. I have been researching a lot into these types of things.

I my whole live did eat raw eggs. From 2-18 mostly from my parents mostly stirred with Soy sauce eaten with bread. Mostly 2-4 a week. Later til today age 66: 1-2 daily: Well washed (because some say there is salmonella danger) egg shell, opened on the top with a knife and put some drops of soy sauce into it and slurp it. I did it with sometimes breaks of 6-12 months, just because I forgot it. Without reason or without feeling better or worse. I never had salmonella problems. From 0-14 eggs from own grown chicken, later what was available in shops, supermarkets, in the last ten years I mostly switched over to non-cage rising and/or organic eggs. Also birds and other animal eat raw eggs in the wild.

Plus the pesticide they put in the plants pokes holes in the insect's digestive system which is exactly what celiac does. In addition, the amount of reported celiac cases has gone up almost perfectly with the amount of GM crops. As well, my aunt who was diagnosed with celiac can eat wheat in Europe (where there are no GMOs) and not get sick.

At least 3 things are completely false in this video. Eggs are "NOT" healthy for humans to consume and do have a negative effect on the body when consumed. Do to the high fat content they (as all animal foods) make your blood thicker as well as stickier which leads to heart disease as well as hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Second. As for acne, dairy is actually the leading cause of that. If you have acne the first advice ill give anyone I'd to cut out "ALL" dairy. Yes cheese too, sorry. Now on to organic food. Simply put it is exponentially healthy for you because it's without toxic pesticides, fungicides and is not genetically modified. Gmo food has not been proven to be safe beyond a shadow of a doubt. In fact genetically modified soy has been shown to cause 3 generation lab rats to become sterile and completely lose the ability to reproduce. But maybe that's a good thing considering we have way to many bastard humans on this planet already

You obviously are very uneducated to the effects dairy has on the human body. It's a proven fact that dairy is the leading cause of acne. I've told people to remove the dairy in their diet and in just a few days their acne cleared right up. If a little dairy accidentally slips into my diet I immediately develop pimples. This an irrefutable fact. I'm sorry you haven't woken up to it yet
@werebud7446
@werebud7446 8 жыл бұрын
No man you're generalizing, that doesn't apply on everybody. My severe acne didn't get any better after cutting out dairy completely, no it even got worse. People should go on accutane rather than trying crazy 80% vegetables diets or some bs like that.
@JustinLodes
@JustinLodes 8 жыл бұрын
You need to learn how to read what people write and understand it before you reply. I said dairy is the LEADING CAUSE of acne, not the ONLY CAUSE. And if you removed dairy from your diet and your acne happened to get worse seemingly at the same time then that was just a coincidence. As for accutane, all it does is reduce the amount of oil in the skin but its completely unnecessary to use. And yes eating any high percentage of plant foods will help your skin as they're high in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Humans are herbivores not omnivores
@werebud7446

Acne scars, oily skin and a permanent hurting face isn't as pleasant as you might think and simply cutting out various foods out of your diet won't guarantee your skin to be clear within the next year but accutane will.

I heard a joke about oysters helping a man's sex life. A man complained to a friend about his bedroom problems. His friend suggested he eat some oysters and see what happens. The next day, the friend asked him how his suggestion worked . The first man answered, " That oyster idea is a bunch of baloney! I ate fifty oysters last night, and only half of them worked!"

TheGriffGames Asthon & Alec Nope, sometimes more pesticides are used because they aren't as efficient as synthetic ones. And if tested properly synthetic pesticides can be safer than organic ones. The nutritional value for both is exactly the same unless the gmo food is specifically made to produce more nutrients.

Bananas are slightly radioactive,so as Peanut Butter Combine those 2 = Bad.Bananas Can be good,The potassium and magnesium in bananas may help protect you from muscle cramps at night and during workouts.Peanut Butter can be good as well it is high in protein about 8 grams of protein,proteins are good,A linear chain of amino acid residues is called a polypeptide. A protein contains at least one long polypeptide. Short polypeptides, containing less than 20-30 residues, are rarely considered to be proteins and are commonly called peptides, or sometimes oligopeptides.

OH HOW! people are so easily duped into these myths. My father-in-law, stepfather, and grandmother all lived well into their 90's, my father-in-law chewed tobacco until he died, my stepfather ate like a horse and live to be 98, none of them ever worried about gluten, organic, or fried foods. Let's face it we are all going to kick the bucket. The biggest problem people have today is stress and setting on their butts all day long. I eat a healthy diet, I have never smoked, I do enjoy my glass wine, I don't worry about gluten but more about chemicals in my food. If I cannot read and understand the label. I put it back on the shelf. I don't care if it is organic or GMO.
