I also enjoyed Fragile (cursed children hospital somewhere in britain). And if you like older movies, you got "Who Can Kill a Child?", I think is from the 70s. It's about a british couple, that go to Spain on vacation and take a boat to a small town on an island, not far. But in this island there is no adult, just children. I'm so happy you gave Chakushin Ari "One missed call" some love. The director Takashi Miike has directed some great movies and I feel like One missed call is his best mainstream take on the early 2000's J horror genre. The main actress Shibasaki Kou is a very famous singer in Japan and sang the closing song which was also a big hit. The male lead is also very famous in Japan and starred in a very popular drama with the lead actress from The Ring.

My favorite foreign horror film is from 2004 called: Dumplings made in Hong Kong- it's very underrated but interesting conceptually but definitely can be triggering and thought provoking.

Hi Sarah!! Just wanted to recommend something based on you liking Bong Joon-ho's films: I think you'd LOVE Park Chan Wook, but especially his first English language film Stoker. It's a thriller that came out in the 2010s and deals with some interesting ideas regarding inheritance, parent-child relationships and sexuality. It's one of my absolute favorite films of all time and is SO good. It came out when I was in college and first getting into foreign horror and it has not budged from my top 5 films since.

As a French guy I feel so proud whenever you mention a French movie as if I produced them myself haha. I LOVE Battle Royale as well ! It’s actually in my top 5 favorite movies ever!
