just wanted to clarify my comment in the beginning, my cat has diagnosed OCD from his vet! you might know I’m a mental health advocate and have a degree in psychology, I am the last person to throw around a term like OCD as a descriptor.

eden lake might not be one of the most visually disturbing horror films there are however when i was watching it, i had barely gone through the first half of the movie and i encountered myself doing something i think i have never done for a horror film, i was hoping and praying that the protagonists wouldn’t encounter the antagonists, and the fact that it was barely the first half of the movie therefore they were bound to meet at least once again made me so anxious and nervous, that it almost made me happy that a horror film made me feel stuff again… it was definitely hugely disturbing to me because of how it put me inside the story. huge recommendation

This is the beat list you've made (as in I agree the most) besides FearDotCom and I haven't seen It Stains the Sands Red. The Loved Ones is horrifying, in the best way possible. Robin McLeavy, Xavier Samuel and John Brumpton give extraordinary performances, it's one of the most disgusting movies I've ever seen, and it isn't my type of horror, but my God is it expertly executed and terrifying. FearDotCom is one of the worst movies I've ever seen haha. It literally makes NO sense, is hilariously cheesy and it's incredibly boring. Triangle is also one of my favourite movies of all time. It's perfect. Melissa George is up there with Jamie Lee Curtis, Essie Davis and Kathy Bates in female horror movie performances. She's mind-blowingly good and it's heartbreaking Eden Lake is relentless and that it goes on and on and on and it's amazing. Fantastic performances (fun fact, the female star, Kelly Reilly bullied my mother in school), especially by Reilly and it's visceral as f***. Antiviral is fine. It's beautiful in a gross way, and it's very interesting. The plot doesn't go anywhere and Landry Jones is very good. The interconnected aspect of Southbound is what makes it work for me. It isn't perfect, as always with movies like this, some of the stories aren't as good as others, and it is silly, but it's entertaining. Starry Eyes doesn't work for me, but the acting is really good. I think it's too shallow with the commentary, it's just the most basic way show themes like this. It's also really entertaining despite my issues.

I watched Triangle per your recommendation and I loved it! I also had my mom watched it and she liked it, too. Definitely wasn't what I expected

I've seen fear dot com and it wasn't that good.

One I've only heard a couple other people talk about that I love is Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Definitely more of a slowbuild but it's interesting and has a good twist

I’m SO excited for more of your thoughts on Hell House LLC! It’s one of my all time favorite movies! 😍👻 And great to see Frailty getting some love! I saw it in the theater with my dad when it came out and we were blown away! It has such a creepy unsettling vibe. The Loved Ones and Starry Eyes are also 👌💯
@kayaye74813 жыл бұрын
👍👍👍 Yes! Finally! I literally can’t find a single person who has seen Starry Eyes, The Loves Ones.... OR the freaking best found footage ever, HeLL House LLC!! Also I’m going to have to re-watch Frailty (saw it at like 14yrs old on VHS & can’t remember) if someone who loves the previous 3 loves it, clearly eye need to go back to that one 🤜🏽🤛🏼

Sarah, have you seen 1BR? I just recently watched it on Netflix and it was so good! I hadn’t heard of it until it showed up in my recommendations list. It really shook me as a woman who has lived alone before. Definitely check it out! 😊

Byzantium is amazing. A british vampire flick crossed with the poetic scripting of disco pigs.

Across the River was one horror movie I saw that seems relatively unknown, and was sufficiently scary that I don't think I'd watch it again, although I kind of want to at the same time.

It would be interesting to see if you can pick out a top ten zombie movies if you're not a huge fan of the genre. Also, would you consider doing a top ten horror movies that require an explanation as it would again be interesting to hear your take on triangle which, to be fair, is a mind f**k. If you were doing full explanations then you would probably need to do 1 or 2 movies per video. Loving your stuff.

I watched that "Triangle" movie once for just $0.50 on a mall somewhere in the Philippines. But the title is "Ghost ship". And when I searched this movie a couple of times, I just couldn't find it. Now I know why.

Tetsuo! That movie is so weird and I love it and the soundtrack. Japanese cyberpunk films are so underrated in my opinion.

Id be interested to hear what you think of these: Stoker, The Awakening, No One Lives, A Perfect Getaway, Faces in the crowd, Audition, A Tale of Two Sisters, Dead Alive. Not sure if some of these are more thriller than horror though. Also, your kitty may do better with one of the inflatable collar/cones than the plastic one it has right now-its easier for them to eat. You could also try a cat booty for the one foot. Just a thought Id share in case its helpful. I know what works for one pet may not work for another.

Just getting back into horror and one film that I used to watch when I was a kid was Dolls from 1987, Stuart Gordon directed a very gothic fairy tale type film about dolls who kill bad people. Very well done and atmospheric!

What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? isn't obscure but it is older so I don't see a lot of people talk about it. I'd highly recommend it especially if you're into psychological horror.

Ooh, I have seen Triangle, what a surprise! I rarely watch any niche movies. I loved its complexity. And I know Starry Eyes as well and loved it, too! Great idea and execution in this case. It just got better and better. I also watched Eden Lake but thought it was kind of boring. Can't remember most of it unfortunately... Thank you for sharing these movies. :)

Omg !!! Fear dot com.... I have a story about this movie: when I was little I used to go to blockbuster and spend a couple of hours finding a movie to rent and always looking in the horror movie, and a movie that always appear in the shelves was fear dot com and the cover was everything to me.... the nlonde girl with blood in the keyboard.... omg was so interesting... but never rented because I found another movies so, I always wanted to watch it until last year that I found it and it was so the dissappointment lol its embarassing 😂 hahahaahha norhing to do with the cover 😭

Instead of putting a cone one ur kittie, I'd recommend one of two better options. 1. A donut around the neck, it does the same thing as the cone, but its much easier for them to eat with it on, and sleep with it on. Its also softer and more comfortable, while performing the same function as a cone. 2. A full body suit, you can find very nice soft ones. This however leaves the legs exposed, so if you need to prevent them from grooming the legs, this isn't the best option, and I'd stick with option 1.
