Speeton bay near Bridlington is a good place to collect fossils. I found two very large pieces of ammonite with the nacre still present and the soft body part of a belemite fossilized with the belemite shell a few years ago.

Wow, what a cracking good year with great examples. I find it amazing that these fossils are from so long an ago but are still pretty much in tact. Happy New Year, I hope 2024 brings more beautiful discoveries like those you've found.

I'm all about the ammonites but it's hard to argue with a (nearly) complete skull! Some great finds there.

Awesome top ten! For the ammonite my best is the number 5, in general number 2 after the preparation can be the best. I wish at the Forgotten Fossils team all the best for the New Year.

Have you ever done a video about the different ammonite species? I've only every found a few fossils, all of which were ammonites. They were coin sized and I didn't know anything about different species of them.

Very nice liam👍👍 got to be the croc skull for me what a find, love how the ammonites and bi valves are in the eye sockets and around the skull😮 for me just makes it even more interesting to look at....like the skull wasnt enough 😃👍

Io ho le foto di due ammoniti di oltre 60cm che si trovano a Venezia. Rispettivamente, una rosa bellissima, su un gradino in Piazza San Marco e l'altra, sempre su un gradino, della chiesa vicino a casa mia. Mi dispiace che non posso pubblicare qui le foto.
