I'd love to see a shorter Catan without dice... How about this: -You get 1 pawn per settlement you own. -Everybody takes a resource collection phase by taking turns placing their pawns, only one pawn allowed per hex. -Everybody takes a trade phase. -Last is a Build phase again, done in order of the starting player. Then you remove the pawns and the next player gets to start resource collection by placing his pawns. And you can place two pawns in hexes next to cities... hmmm I might want to actually try this....

Sam, Fury of Frankenstein is a great idea! You could even add a traitor element to the anti-monster group and if they don't stop the monster, the "doctor" player would now be the monster with a new objective (the monster kills the doctor, so the theme would be great!). You could even add a "betrayal at the house" mechanism during this transition!! I would buy it!!

They did sort of do something with the Abyss art - they made an Abyss artbook. It was being sold for $5 in Asmodee North America's holiday sale this year (2017), and didn't sell out,so it'll probably be there next year too.

I want a sequel to the Avalon Hill classic game King Maker. (This is a game about the War of the Roses. Keep your royal safe while trying to kill opponents and dodging the plague. Hire noble houses and mercenaries to build your army.) Set the sequel in France, Spain, Germany, Russia, wherever. I agree with Eric, a sequel to Merchants of Venus would be great. A new map, more ships, aliens, cargoes, etc.

Champions of Midgard and Lords of Waterdeep get compared way too much. They are just two simple worker placement games. Get resources and then get points. They are really not that similar once you think about it.
