Portmarnock is the hardest course I have ever played. Was the 5th in 5 consecutive days, so I was pretty tired, too. Beautiful, though. Carton House was a ton of fun as was K Club!

Just seen this in my recommendations and gave it a watch. I am a Dub. I'd leave out Headfort, Luttrellstown. Not bad courses, just not essential given where you're coming from. Out of ones not mentioned European Club is a must as is Carton House. And even if I feel it's a bit overrated, The K Club. Then there a handful of courses dotted around in the tier below them like Tulfarris (my course), Kilkea, Killeen, Bray, Palmerstown, Edmonstown, Dun Laoghaire, Howth and St. Annes that are all lovely courses to play too.

Hi, from your recommendation on the above which one would you prioritise out of tulfarris and Killeen? We’re playing royal Dublin the next day but would like a cheaper, good condition warm up the day before. Any advice is appreciated

Played a few of these (I'm not from Ireland). The Island Course is an absolute gem. Not sure its on everyone's list but it should be. Royal Dublin you can play as a non member. Played it on not the nicest day (which may influence my opinion) felt like the views were a little industrial. Bettystown Laystown. Worth the visit. Its old school and certainly not fancy but a lot of the holes are on the water and its a real links experience.

Keep a look out for our Golf Vlogs where we golf cheap in Dublin and Ireland, Cheers.

You may find 'links style' courses in the US but in Ireland they are links courses. Corballis will be the cheapest. Great fun!

I played luttrellstown and portmarnock when i went on vacation to ireland this August and i must say i thought portmarnock was much nicer and kept in way better condition than luttrellstown. Dont get me wrong luttrellstown was beautiful but i wouldn't think its #2 in Dublin.

Some of the greenfees you mentioned are way off too. Louth being the obvious one. I paid €160 last year and that was in the winter. I imagine it is listed like €200 for in-season on their site.

Yeah… the green fees for these courses are WAAAYYYYY OFF. And I played a few of them a year ago. Do your research as this is a bad informational video. Shame
