A very clever way to indulge guitar ego while still coming off as a goofy, approachable guy. The reality is ANY guitarist who has put in the time and effort to play at the level of ability Stevie has will have some ego about their chops. At least this is entertaining and the gent can truly play. It's interesting how any of the discernible emotive licks kinda disappear as soon as the cocaine-tempos hit the floor running. The hilarious MIDI background tracks are worth the price of admission. Fun stuff!

Best solos - Between the Buried and Me - Selkies: The Endless Obsession, White Walls, and Ants of the Sky Cynic - How Could I, Evolutionary Sleeper Death - basically any solo of theirs? but Idk Overactive Imagination and Scavenger of Human Sorrow are what come to mind. Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera, 22 Acacia Avenue The Mars Volta - Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt, Frances the Mute Mastodon - The Last Baron Megadeth - Tornado of Souls, My Last Words Pantera - Walk, Fucking Hostile Vektor - Tetrastructural Minds also every Buckethead solo ties for top spot, but that's just obvious.

@retrorewind60429 жыл бұрын
theyre really hard to pull off
@Neverknot479 жыл бұрын
YellowCharizar d I've heard do you think it would be possible to perform one by instead of using a little piece of your thumb using a 2nd guitar pick, two stacked on top of each other with the 2nd one sticking out a little longer to act like the piece of the thumb?
@retrorewind60429 жыл бұрын
no i do not think thatll work. id try it tho but once you get the thumb techniqe down its pretty easy or if you mess around with the harmonic setting if you have a sustainiac pickup installed, but i think the thumb is the easiest and more practical one. nobody wants to really play with two picks at once cause that will mess up your playing alot.

play it slow and steady with a metronome, and slowly increase the speed until you can play at that speed, and repeat. thats what he said in one of his videos but can't remember which one
@Chris7411136 жыл бұрын
Eh, PRACTISE perhaps?!
@taotuhao59696 жыл бұрын
Here is the secret, memorize scales ( extremely easy to do) Use a metronome and very quickly you will be able to play anything that you hear. I played by ear for years. When I finally broke down to learn some basic theory, I found: 1) I was already using theoretical concepts. 2) What I learned, improved my playing exponentially.
