My vote goes out to the Indie co’s like Sydney Grace’s Mountain Trail. It was a collection of singles and offered this year in palette form. Oden’s Eye x Angelica Nyqvist Hela (?) palette is a green and pink color story but more vibrant than the Retro Glam color story. Finally, Adept Cosmetics x Heather Austin has a lovely green section.

@@pinksparkle258 Hey, Sis… I am so sorry I am MIA. I broke my toe a while ago and not being able to walk for two months made me want to disappear. I am an active person and being immobile is like living in hell. I apologize profusely for not letting you know. I was not in a good space. I am still not in a good space. I hurt my ribs too in a freak accident (not car; at home) and I can BARELY move right now. But wait……..there’s more!!!! Right before I disappeared, I had a terrible experience in a YT comment section that has nothing to do with beauty. The creator was really nasty to me to the point of this affecting me emotionally for days. Maybe I am too sensitive; maybe his reaction was completely disproportionate (I believe the latter). I humbly know my stuff in my field of study; I am always learning, but I gently posted some constructive feedback for him. He went off in the most aggressive way a person has ever approached me. This is a creator with approximately half a million subscribers. I was like wtf and told him I was not “correcting” him per se; I was simply pointing out that his statement was not logically solid and I suggested how it could be (as I am very much into logical fallacies). Sure, it can be argued that is “correcting” (not my intention), so I proceeded to delete all my comments on his video-only to find out he had incorporated my feedback without giving me credit. It was something very specific and yes, I understand I cannot prove it was MY feedback he incorporated-BUT it was immediately after he blew up on me. The “coincidence” is hard to ignore. Then I started thinking: what the hell am I doing on YT commenting on videos anyway?? I had a second bad experience where I went to edit my comment and it was deleted (by the creator; it could only be that. This was a comment where I agreed with the creator, wtf.) Then a third experience that was a little different but not less painful. I am always extremely careful to be respectful if I say something over here and it STILL gets interpreted as threatening by folks. Not to mention the impressionable viewers who defend abhorrent behavior on the part of the creator. This has absolutely nothing to do with Rebecca, of course. I started questioning why on Earth does a confirmed, huge introvert like myself think that I can freely express my opinions online (many of which are backed by hard data, but that doesn’t seem to count anymore nowadays)?????? Why am I commenting on serious issues and cannot keep it limited to “red lipsticks”?? Because I am a thinker and very attracted to complex psychological dynamics and stuff like that. So I stopped cold turkey with beauty content (one exception I will explain later) and virtually cold turkey with other areas until I said “literally no more” and went away to do something else. I am in extreme pain (physically) today and I am hurting emotionally too; I am still questioning what the heck I am doing here on YT. I am thinking about deleting my account. I love you and Rebecca and it’s my fault that I chose to interact in good faith in other areas. Not a smart move for someone who considers themselves a “thinker.” Thinker my ash. I am angry at myself and I know that’s illogical, but it’s how I feel. I needed to disappear. Still feel that… until my ribs heal at least. I probably have two months ahead of me until they’re healed. Good grief. Now I am taking all my lotto $$$$$$$$ and moving to Tahiti as you said. I do apologize, Sis. I do apologize, Rebecca. 😞😞😞

I bought TF Velours Khaki out of curiosity and I’m glad I took the plunge. I was afraid I’d look too “make-upy” for work but instead it gave me such a crisp, polished look. Green is the underdog colour story I never knew I needed!

Love this! I was one of those who got a “muddy” look the 1st time I used it. The 2nd time was much better, and now I love it. It was a little learning curve. The ABH palette is the one that made me like greens! I never used them before. This was a fun one, Rebecca!

I was wondering your thoughts on the Charlotte Tilbury, single eyeshadow she did this holiday season that has the pretty packaging with the jewels on it. The green one. Kymberly! A great question and, stupidly, I left off Lisa Eldridge as well so that needs to be fitted in here. I think that pop shot shade from Charlotte, the emerald, is one of the prettiest eyeshadows she has ever done. I tend to reach for the other colors in the pop shots mainly because I wear neutrals on a daily basis. But as far as greens go, it is one of the prettiest out there. And would probably, in some sort of a new ranking just of green shades, be number two underneath the Lisa Eldridge green pallet. So this would involve an entire different ranking ha ha.

I saw a few people rate the Bobbi Brown Jadestone palette quite well, and of course LE's Sorcery palette - hm! Gorgeous! But I agree with your list. I indulged in the Tom Ford 'Kaki', the LE Sorcery, and Dior Backstage Khaki - loving them all. I also own the Dior Backstage Palette but then again, I own every single one released! I do adore it though. I'm also wanting the ND Retro-Glam but also waiting for sale time. I've just indulged in four Pat McGrath Motherships that were heavily reduced and can't spare anymore right now. Last year, I scored the ND Love Palette for 60% off at Sephora, so you never know what you may find. It was on Cyber Monday, if memory serves, that I received an email stating the certain items were being reduced, so I took a peek. That's when I saw the Subversive Mothership for half-price! At least you're in the business and can give an opinion.😉 It was so strange that the most expensive Mothership at Sephora AU, Subversive III, was reduced by half-price, yet only for a day. It went straight up again but is now reduced to 30% off. I bought Midnight Sun from PML directly prior to the Star Wars release at 40% off and when they reduced the sitewide Sale to 40% off, I grabbed the duo offer of Bronze Seduction and Moonlit Seduction with the latter only released a short while ago and still has 'New' printed above. I bought an IntensifEYES Stick too. These Motherships sell for AU$215.00 but Pat does not have fixed rates for her products, at least for those who need to convert currencies. She changes our price to suit the exchange rate. Less than a day before I purchased the two Motherships, they were $219.00 but changed to $215.00 hours later. I just had a look on her site and the price actually adjusted in the Cart in front of my eyes! It made sense for her to get rid of Midnight Sun to then launch, no pun intended, the Star Wars Collection but then to bring it back and sell it for 40% off is rather curious. Instead of $215.00, I paid $128.00 for Midnight Sun. For the duo of Bronze Seduction and Moonlit Seduction I paid the grand total of $232.00, that's $116.00 each! It goes down to $112.00 each if you buy a set of three but you can't customise them. If I bought a palette with the IntensifEYES included, it would cost $139.20 which makes the latter only $11.20! Just remember that I'm using Australian Currency here. I've never had any intention of collecting the Motherships but I certainly don't mind paying these prices for the ones that interest me. This company was supposed to be ranked as a "billion dollar business" at 2019. Makes one wonder what is going on doesn't it? I just hope this Sale keeps going so that I can pick up the two remaining Motherships and I'm done! I'm not interested in anything else. With what I've spent recently, not only with PML either, my bank account isn't looking too healthy. Everything I purchase is mostly reduced, even Burberry have some reductions at our stockist. I wore the Monogram Eye Palette on Christmas Day and love it! I managed to get 3 of those Pearl Kisses Lipsticks from last year which are so soft, moisturising and long lasting! Would love to get more, especially being reduced. I simply can't help myself.💖

So they make money even lowering prices BUT the chatter that causes, the harm to the brand's reputation as luxury, etc. The one thing I will say is that the brand is shameless. I mean that. TERRIBLE customer service that everyone knows of and yet they don't fix it. Like not in the least. KNOWING tongues are wagging about sales so they discount MORE. It's....odd. It would only stand to reason that it's financial trouble but they are also so prolific that it doesn't stand to reason.

These are not put in order, nor do I own them all - but wouldn't mind adding a few more to my collection! @@NotFitforPrintBeauty I totally agree! When I see green tones, it reminds me of the landscape around me where I live. So, to me it's more neutral than anything. It's nice to see so many excited about a shade and not complaining about them! I was shocked to see how many bought the Dior Khaki Neutrals, especially those who tend to keep to Quints and wouldn't lower themselves to the Backstage Collection. I own every single Eye Palette from this Collection and truly love each one. As you can see above, I scored the Nyx Avatar Eye Palette but for only AU$25.00 (US$16.80) when all Nyx products were reduced to half-price at a stockist here shortly after it was released. I've never tried Nyx but loved the colours so much I just had to grab it and got the last one from online! If you remember the first movie with all those stunning colours of the forest etc., they got this palette spot on. I realise it's meant to represent the second movie but it suits both. It seems the Eye Palette is the one good part of the Avatar release which I saw reviewed but after buying it. I know a good deal when I see it! I adore Lethal Cosmetics but the only reason I don't buy more from Oden's Eye is because I simply don't need anymore palettes. I would have loved the Christmas Palettes but I couldn't afford them at that time as I was focused on other things. They sold out very fast, which makes me wonder how few they had made in the first place. Definitely have my eye on Retro-Glam but only when reduced. At least I think outside the box with my choices!💖

And going from drug store to independent and even into luxury, it is a broad spectrum of the choices and allows you to make decisions both financially with make upand to get the quality that you want. Helps avoid disappointment. Plus, the encyclopedic knowledge is kind of fun!

Hi dear Rebecca, loved to watch this, thanks so much🤩🤩🤩🤩, i love green eyeshadows, not that all greens look nice on me, i mostly love to wear them in colours very close to my sort of khaki green eyes. Further, i stopped buying new PMG/ND/SG kind of shadows as my eyes are much more sensitive, gave most of these palettes away before they expire, kept some from each brand. But loved your choices! Mine? Most beautiful eyeshadow of the year,for me than, sorry, because it's ltd edition and only 1 green shade but so beautiful: that's the Suqqu quad 117, glad i have back up. When i don't want a Suqqu quad, it's only because the colourstory does not speak to me, that's how much i love their shadows! My nr. 2 palette of the year, boring, but the Suqqu quad 116, but that has not a green. But their quads, the formula is so refined, and you don't have to think (me than), only blend!😍Further, green shadows from this year, nr. 2 in the greens: Burberry, nr. 3. Chanel Mediterranean quad from last spring, 4. Dior Backstage 008 Khaki Neutrals 5. Tom Ford Khaki quad. 6. Cle de Peau 304 Champagne Supernova, so soft on the eyes, and cute for spring but not sure if it was this year, the release, sorry 7. Bobbi Brown Jadestone Eyeshadow Palette 8. ABH Nouveau, it deserves higher in the list, but bottom for before political mentioned reasons. Not all the shadows i saw are available here, but loved the video, so nice, we had such a relaxed Christmas Eve and 2 busy Christmas days (we have day 1 and day 2 here, 25th and 26th here in NL), love to watch this in between! Someone pointed out that the UD Greens received a ton of negative reviews and I agree with the commenter that I think they were too harsh. It looked like a fun option for green and neutral looks.

It's cool leaning BUT there are peach shades that warm it up a bit and that's what I rely on because, like you, cool tones make me look tired and blah.

You should turn your arm into a palette for people that love their greens! My fave by far is the ABH Noveau. Hopefully, ABH is going back to the old school style palettes. I agree that very few of us want the Norvina palettes. Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Hey my Norvina palettes aren't crazy 🤣🤣😂 I love them! Really good quality, less powdery than their usual mattes and great shimmers. As far as colourful palettes go I actually like hers better than most on the market

I laughed and laughed when this video came out because for some strange reason I literally blanked and left off the Lisa Eldridge palette. The only thing I blamed it on at the time was that there was so much hype about the palette that I was actually kind of putting blinders on. You couldn’t look anywhere without seeing it and I think part of me just was oversaturated. It was an absolute omission. Course it should’ve been on this list. That Chanel palette is absolutely gorgeous by the way. Probably another omission! I think I need a part two

I love the year of Green ! It really was a big green eye shadow year. I pretty much agree with your top 5 , however, I think I would replace the ABH with the Lisa Eldridge Socery. But I do love the ABH palette. I completely agree with the Tom Ford Kaki. I do love the palette but it is very high maintenance. You need to be very careful or it gets muddy. I need to talk about the Urban Decay Wild Greens. It’s a great palette and it’s available at ….. Nordstrom Rack (😜) right now (12/24) for only $25.97. You did leave out the UD She Hulk palette. Obviously lots of green in that palette. It is also at Nordstrom Rack right now for $26.97. I wanted to leave this comment for you and other viewers who may want to order those palettes online. The Norvina palettes look like clown makeup to me! I thought you were going to pick the Dior Backstage palette for number 1! My favorite is definitely the ND Retro. I was hesitant to buy it but have adored every look I’ve created with it! I had a terrible experience with the Rose Inc duos. They all showed up with one of the sides shattered. The company was very nice and said it was one particular formula they’ve seen it happen with. I sent them pics and they refunded the money, but I was disappointed not to be able to use them.

I thought your number 1 was going to be the Bobbi Brown Palette. It is a really good green palette. It is true that Retro Glam is very green, but because it is so cool and pastel, I don’t think about it in that way. I’m into more olive greens. Check out the Bobbi Brown palette; it is really good!

My favourite was the ABH though I didn’t include it in your ranking quiz as I wasn’t sure if I should count it as fav neutral or colour palette due to all the greens 😂 Merry Christmas and I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday. (Less than 2 hours to go to Xmas here). Edit: that is really good to know re the Rose Inc. I haven’t yet bought it as I haven’t been to the shop that stocks it so $ saved. It’s like how everyone initially raved about the Patrick Ta 2 palette but when I saw it I couldn’t get any pigment as it completely hard-panned in store.

I keep getting comments that none of these pallets are green. So I feel like I’m now going crazy. I will say this, there are often color differences in different countries. My husband and I constantly fight about the difference between blue and green and orange and red. And I found that everyone he knows who’s British agrees with him. It’s almost like animal noises that we teach children are different in different countries. I kind of think colors are as well.
