Imo a forgotten map that had a neat concept is Morrigan's alley with a payload medieval Halloween mode. It would deserve a makeover as the map aged poorly aesthetically but so much fun has been had on this map.

Graveyard and Los Muertos were added with Farmaggedon, Sinthetic, Erebus, and Terror this year. Also, I feel like a better name for Turbine Event would be “Gallows.” 2022 Edit: A timed-CTF version of Helltrain was added along with Soul-Mill, Bonesaw, Crasher, Ghoulpit, and Spookeyridge this year.

Halloween maps are probably my favorite thing in tf2. I dont care for the spells whatsoever, but otherwise I dont see any real reason not to play on them. Doesnt help Halloween is my favorite holiday and October being my favorite month either. Los Muertos is one of my favorites from the list. Such a cool idea and so well done. Day Of the Dead aesthetic is so sick

the halloween maps that do exist...e specially Helltower, its uh... the spells make it near unplayable, especially the god spells, which is sad because i love the charm of the dead brothers getting the other team to send their sibling to Hell

Super happy to hear your feedback of Chateau! Yes, the navmesh is something I need to fix. I've been out of the 2ft mapping game for a while, I don't know how to do it, but clearly it can be done. The end-of-round skeleton thing is really interesting, you loved it, and many testers did... but many people who tested the map for me hated it! It's really divisive, and I've considered changing it, but I couldn't think of anything original that was also better.

According to sonoma in my server the nav mesh needs to be named something different. "usually it would be .nav, but the workshop only accepts it if it's called embed.nav" I love the end of the round but maybe lowering the amount of skeletons that spawn would help for the testers that hated it? I did notice that light classes that are not a fast as scout almost never survive.

@@AceTheOcarinaMaker I'll give the navmesh thing a try, I think there also is a compiler out there that can pack it in as well. For the skeleton event, I wonder if there's a way to apply class-based speed boosts to keep everyone at roughly the same speed

You didn’t include CP_Gothic :( It’s a really badass-looking attack/defend map that also has the same exact gameplay as CP_Steel, but except with an entirely different layout. And the announcer makes evil laughter everytime when setup time ends and the round starts.
