I'd have to agree with these moments being the toughest, especially number one. It was, by far, the section I met my end the most on in this game. But finally getting through it made it that much sweeter. No matter how many times I've played this game, it was always the section I dreaded getting through, even after mastering it. Wow that one put me into a rage, I didn’t even beat it after 40 min. I tried to avoid looking up some guidance but at some point, I was like wtf… need some help… going to try beating it today, man what a frustrating ordeal!

I actually enjoyed the escape the beach section. An easy strategy: hide behind those metal X things. There are certain spots there where you can hit the Tediz, but they can't hit you. But don't stay behind a single one too long or a bomb will randomly drop on to the metal X you're currently behind. Try it out!

Not to sound like a snob, but the best way to get better at these sections is to practice in the chapters. Don't worry, the beach escape is tedious, but then again, the whole war section is, sometimes if you are feeling lucky, take a few well timed running jumps, but because of the Tediz, they make it diificult, sometimes by pure dumb luck was I even knocked into the edge and teh cutscene came up giving me the freedom and breath of relief when I could relax my fingers for a bit. But yeah, because I played the game so much, I've beaten it loads of times, just take a deep breath. To all you newbie players to this game, good luck! Have fun!

Great video!! I agree with most of these lists and honorable mentions. I personally find the bomb walk in the Uga Buga/Unga Bunga part, (I get confused with Banjo Tooie's terminology), quite easy. I feel like the Matrix part before the Alien fight is easily one of the hardest parts in the game! The first time I beat the game the Matrix part had me stuck for weeks or months, (I don't remember but it was a long time!) It was years ago but I still find it hard to beat. Many of the tasks on your list, (most of them I agree with). Great video:)

It’s always cool to hear how other players experienced the game… For the matrix thing, I just kept using the slow mo jump and got through it on the first attempt with low health, which I was kind of bummed about honestly bc it’s a cool part!! That bomb walk becomes “easy” when you know the route but it just came with its handful of deaths, so it ended up on the list! @@MarMaxGaming you are welcome mate:) Well done clearing the Matrix part first go!! I struggle with that sometimes, especially the first time I beat the game! For me it's pretty challenging! I find Halo series of game difficult even though I am confident in my Perfect Dark and GoldenEye skills for N64, I feel average to very bad at Halo games as the arenas/enviroments are too wide open and I don't know how to strategise in really wide open spaces. I am especially thinking of Halo 3 but haven't played much Halo games or spent much time playing the series. I found it really challenging completing Halo 3 on Normal difficulty. Most of the games I play are Mario, Zelda, Super Smash series, Mario Kart series, a little bit of Sonic not much, a little bit of Crash Bandicoot not much, a little bit of Spyro not much and many Rare/Ware games! Nintendo and Rare/Ware are my two absolute fave game companies before Microsoft purchased Rare/Ware. I find the Yooka Laylee games hard. With Yooka Laylee on Switch, I find it hard to progress, specifically working out what to do next. I haven't spent much time playing it though. Banjo series are MUCH more fun than Yooka Laylee to me, in my opinion. Love your channel and vids, keep up the great content mate!

Had no idea this game was so punishing lol looks like a good time tho and has a reputation of being a classic. I may have to pick up the Xbox version at some point. I know it censored some stuff, which kinda sucks, but the nicer graphics and controls (and the cheaper price tag) might make up for it.

It looks like this game would have been really tough to beat as a kid. I doubt I would have been able to get far if I did get the chance to play the game back then. Still feel like I missed out though. I would like to beat all the Rare games on N64 at some point.

Honestly surprised the knife throwing part with the rising water didn't place at all. Once you get the hang of it, its fine, but learning how to aim the knives well enoguh with no crosshair, against a strict time limit was tense. I always just jumped through the part with the tediz and bazookas. Took a few attempts, but for me it was easier than tryign to fight them all.

I did die once there too, that’s a good mention! My big thing was not seeing one of them on the first attempt, which I think they did on purpose. I tried to run and jump through that part and sadly after dying about 10-15 times, I decided I had to actually do it for real. I didn’t realize that one of my attempts was probably one or two steps from the cutscene checkpoint until after the fact 😅 Appreciate you watching and commenting!

@@MarMaxGaming Its possible to do the beach gauntlet by just running it like a madman. I did it ONCE on my first playthough via beginners luck. But never again even after being a veteran of the game. You need to jump at the very moment the teddiz are about to fire. And never tail hover. Even after working out the timing you still require a lot of luck since they are so darn accurate. (They would have made great Quake players! Dr. Weasel should have designed them for e-sports instead. He'd have made big money being a "coach" lol.)

In the beach section I usually just run for it and hope I don’t get blown away. Usually works out for me after a couple of tries, you just have to do it right and jump quickly multiple times. Bonus tip: never use the helicopter move in this section, as that will make you an easy target for the tediz

@@MarMaxGaming honestly, you can’t really go wrong with either version, but I’d say Live and Reloaded modernized the gameplay and controls a little bit to make the game more approachable. On the other hand, the original still has that N64 charm that is essentially hard to imitate, so it’s genuinely hard to say which game is better.

Before i begin my thoughts with this list (don't worry, they're not negative, in fact i agree with all your choices), To ANYONE who hasn't played BFD before, please do yourself a favor and cash in some hours mastering the shooting controls in multiplayer (Mostly Heist & Deathmatch), trust me i know. Moving around like a tank with the bazooka may not seem attractive at first, and very slow, but it does help with the Beach escape & shooting the submarines. (TBH, I actually prefer the shooting gameplay in the remake). Now for the list itself, i agree with all your choices, with some exceptions. Personally i think the knife throwing in the pee silo is slightly more difficult that the Haybot boss, but i can understand it's placement in the mentions (I never beat Haybot as a kid lol). Other than that, i honestly don't have anything else to say about the entries, they were well put together. As for anything i would put on the list, The Circling Wasps on the Ladder (Barn Boys), Buga The Knut (Uga Buga Boss), Luring the DInosaur (Uga Buga), Great Mighty Poo (Sloprano), The Tediz Hospital (It's War), Electric Eel Rings (It's War) & Matrix Bank Shootout (Heist). None of these are perticularly difficult (except Buga), but just some extra missions i thought were annoying. End of the day, very well done sir, hope to see some other N64 related lists from you. 👍

Some sections were maybe kinda challenging but were surrounded by infinitely regenerating chocolate, like Uga Buga, so that changes if they’d make the list or not. Strangely enough, I made it through the matrix part on my first try.. just kept using the slow mo diving and it kept me safe to take everybody out! This makes me realize just how much of this game I never played. I just attempted a bunch of sections with the weldersbench cheat. I remember having trouble with the Matrix scene, not knowing how to avoid getting shot out of my slow-mo jumps, but that's just one of many parts I couldn't figure out how to beat.

Yeah its better to play the game legit so you can learn about the different modes. For that section you have to wait for them to reload eventually. It gets harder the closer you get to them since they can shoot you sooner.

I have to disagree with the Bomb run i think i personally would've switched it with Rock Solid Club And i think it's just me, but i don't find Clang's Lair that hard honestly... About the mansion my plan is always to outrun the zombies. They always stop when they chase you so you can outrun them very easily. Also surprised you didn't mention Jumping on Sunflower's Boobs in honorable mentions.
