I agree. Mainly because Phantom Ganon moves around so quick while, at the same time, attacking you with fast energy attacks. Ganon is very big and very slow and it's easy to avoid his attacks if you keep your distance whenever he attacks.

This video unlocked some old childhood video game memories. I remember also that in Donkey Kong 64 the second time you fight the dragon fly boss as Chunky Kong was pretty tough. Especially with dealing with the platform sinking into the magma. I remember countless times thinking I was one hit away from finally finishing this boss right before the platform sank down. Dread it every time.

@@OTGamer95 Fcking Barinade. On my first playthrough, I wasn't really used to the Z-targetting mode, so it was a total Nightmare. However, I also found Ganon's last fight REAAAAALLY HARD as well! I didn't get the biggoron sword, not enough ammo by the time I got there and I was SOO terrified of him plus not many heart containers. I remember running all over the place trying each one of the weapons I had and don't remember being able to land hammer shots on him (probably something in my head kept repeating to myself that only light arrows would work on him). Also I kept running out of magic and arrows (including the ones you could obtain by smashing the temple of time structure). After a few playthroughs, you get the handle of it and defeat him quite easy.

The final gruntilda battle should be here. Took me two weeks to beat it after getting tired of trying and quitting over and over. The Minho statues at the end when you have to hit them just right and then the final statue we’re anxiety inducing after beating the first 3 rounds which are hard as it is.

Honestly, since my brother and I had the Biggoron's Sword every time we fought Ganon, he was a pushover. Don't deserve a spot on this list at all. Ganondorf was much harder! Hell, I'd dare say to put literally ANY Turok 2 boss on this list, and place at number 2!

Even Ganondorf's a pushover. Phantom Ganon's the real star of this category. First time players probably won't have more than seven hearts unless they're really good at exploring, and depending on how diligent they are in doing random chores they could have anywhere between one and three bottles, but probably two at most. Meanwhile Phantom Ganon's hard to read in his first phase and if you don't find him in time to shoot him he'll strike the battlefield with lightning that's very hard to recognize you can even dodge, and if you're hit you take two full hearts of damage. Then in the second phase you have to do the same tennis thing you have to do to Ganondorf later but unlike with Ganondort Phantom Ganon's always moving around so you'll usually knock it back only for it to miss. Also unlike with Ganondorf whenever Phantom Ganon sets up a proper tennis match the ball gets faster with each hit so it's really easy to screw up. Minus one heart if you do. If that wasn't bad enough, he has a ramming attack that, if you're hit by it does three hearts of damage. Three! That's as much as Ganondorf's tennis balls if you don't have the optional defense boost that's only available after you get the dungeon treasure of the final dungeon, and remember Ganondorf's balls do that much because his damage is scaled to that stage of the game, where you can have max hearts. But even if you don't go out of your way to look for heart pieces, standard exploration will likely mean getting at least a dozen of them, which when combined with the boss hearts means you'd have at least twice as many hearts for Ganondorf as a new player would have for Phantom Ganon. Combine that with the Double Defense that no new player with any sense of exploration could miss considering the minimap shows a path to a dead end where you find the black pillar.

To be fair, the difficulty of some of bosses is not because the boss themselves are difficult, rather the player is not prepared from the standard game play to tackle them. - Mad Jack Most deaths from this battle will come from falling off, which is a hard restart off 1 mistake. Which becomes easy to fail to since the game does not normally require the player to have to think this quickly. Camera control is vital for this battle, which usual gameplay does not require that much use of. The combination of speed and camera control are beyond the usual gameplay, making this fight a rush for most players. - Pufferfish The movement mechanics, speed, and handling of the boat are vastly different from the games standard movement. This type of movement is exclusive to this match, forcing the player to either adapt fast or to keep trying until they figure it out. Dragonfly 2 is difficult due to time, but it is pretty easy as it has some of the least to figure out, especially at the point you reach it in the game (3rd last boss key). Diddy's first match, and Chunky's giant battle in the Factory both help to prepare a player for this matchup. Might just be the best boss battle of this game. IMO, the hardest boss is the first one. Boss 1 may not be directly difficult, but the 1 melon of HP, likely inexperience of early players, along with the dark environment, makes this a tough battle. As someone who has several playthroughs of this game, Boss 1 is consistently the hardest boss for me to deal with solely due to character frailty.

And the first boss has never been hard for me since I've always just rolled from side to side to avoid the fire balls. There's a little mistake on the script. The Star Wolf fight on Venom is always against the entire team, even if you beat them on Fichina. The whole point is that they got new ships before the Andross fight and after Area 9.

Actually strike suit zero is harder and they both have to escape a blowing up thing except the only difference is that strike suit zero blows up fairly easy to ramming into stuff vs ar-wing which is more forgiving.

Without a doubt, the hardest N64 boss is "The Ultra Mega Man" (the final boss) from South Park 64. Even with cheats such as invincibility and unlimited ammo, I spent 1 1/2 hours trying to beat him. The problem with him is the incredible small hitboxes and his ability to regenerate health, over and over again. The only way to beat him is to use a graphical bug, where you shoot the wall at a specific point and it bounces back at him.

The problem with beating wizpig is that they never teach you how to do the green boost. Only reason I learned is when I gave up and threw my controller and diddy happened to hit a boost lol.
