Actually one thing i wanted to point out about Ancient Fruit. The traveling merchant has a very low chance of selling ancient seeds! So there is a way to buy them, its just rare :)

Farm bugs in the mine. Very easy, and if you already have a burglar ring, you can load up. Farm one a day and buy a little speed grow.

i swear the snake vertebrae was the easiest thing for me, i’ve found like 20 of them digging around my island farm but i’m struggling so hard with the fossilized skull, golden coconuts are hard to come by, i always have to buy them from the trader and whenever i crack one open i always get mango saplings and pineapple seeds 💀

@@SuperCoolZomb1e If you shake the palm trees as well as the trees in the desert and go foraging for coconuts in the desert then you'll get them in no time, this is in addition to getting golden coconuts naturally this way and buying them from Sandy. It really doesn't take much time at all. I am also aware that it's the island trader and specified that it was a bird just to make it easier for people. Not sure what you're trying to contribute to the conversation.

My personal Top 10 *10. Floor 200 Staircase-less (Skull Cavern) -* If lucky enough with shaft spawns, you can totally do this. Magic Rock Candy and Lucky Ring highly recommend. *9. Community Center Year 1 -* Sure, there’s the Red Cabbage, but there’s also other problematic items like the Truffle. *8. Missing Bundle Year 1 -* A tricky but fun challenge. You either have to get very lucky in Skull Cavern for a Dino Egg, or waste loads of money and resources on the final house upgrade for casks to get the quality Wine. The Ancient Fruit takes pretty long and you need to get a little lucky, so I didn’t do it in the run. *7. All Qi Challenges -* I mainly put it this high because of Junimo Kart lol *6. All Stardrops Year 1 -* This requires catching every fish and the museum. Imagine having to catch the Legend at the first 28 days. May luck be on your side *5. Full Shipment Year 1 -* Having to essentially speedrun the center as well as collect 100 golden walnuts, AND basically having luck decide your fate if you get the “Danger in the Deep” quest from Qi. This and All Stardrops could be interchanged. *4. Fector’s Challenge -* This could be the easiest or the hardest depending on what kind of person you are. I’ve always struggled with Prairie King, and only beat it twice. I decided to put it around the middle since it’s way different than everything else on the list, and I think it’d be unfair to put it at number 1. *3. Perfection -* The final challenge of Stardew. Will test your resource management skills and your patience. What could be harder than this? *2. All Hats -* Having to do Perfection as well as other crazy and luck-based tasks. Don’t even get me started on the Leaf Hat. *1. Joja Route -* I’ll never sell my soul to Joja.

For the Ancient fruit ,i always get extremely lucky and get them in the first spring in the traveling merchant for a really cheap price or by defeating bugs in the mines !!

Actually, there's another way to get an auto-petter if you didn't go the Joja route. You can get it from breaking crates or killing enemies as a special item in the dangerous mines. It has a 2% chance to drop. The chance of a crate or barrel being able to drop it is 2.2%, so for any given crate you have a .044% chance of getting one. I managed to get one from an enemy, only .2% of enemies can drop them, which means that I got something that had 1/25000 odds. I don' think I've killed that many monsters in all my hours of playing Stardew Valley, and I'm sure I hadn't even begun to approach that number of enemies killed in the dangerous mines when I got it.

I always go with mushrooms... yes you can tap them in endgame or find some at ginger Island yet you will have every tree in endgame just aswell. Thus I use them for early game energy

I use the mushroom cave instead or fruit bc you will always have an abundant amount of fruit if you forage/grow crops/ and have fruit trees and I keep them so I can make jelly

4:27 on my play through right now I got an ancient seed in Summer 1, planted it and saved all the fruit, and then had really good luck turning them into seeds once I got the seed maker. Now at the beginning of Winter 1, I’ve got my greenhouse and 8 ancient fruit plants growing in it!

Personally I hate that ghost that gives you nausea the most. Usually you can avoid him but I always forget he exists and then my entire mine day gets ruines because I cant eat anything

Point of fact, you can also get ancient seeds by killing bugs, breaking artifact troves, getting a lucky drop at an artifact spot, or by fishing. High luck and the mutant bug lair or the early levels of the mines and monster musk and you can easily get a half dozen. Since you only need one ancient seed artifact to donate, you can turn the rest into seed packs and plant them. Also, there's a rare chance to get the ancient seed packs when using the seed maker.

The cave decision is a no-brainer, if you do the math and don't make the decision based on community center items. It would be a VERY cool thing if you could pay a sum to change your mind on what to have in the cave, like you can many other things in SDV.

Qi's hungry quest is easy with staircases. I always do it for easy Qi Gems, especially since the best floors are after floor 100 anyway. You can also eat before you enter the cavern. Idk about eating in the little entrance hallway, but I know eating in the desert outside of the Caverns work

I didn’t use any staircases because I forgot them lol. But I had the vamp enchantment in my sword so I just killed a bunch of slimes to regain my health.

If you don’t wanna deal with squids, get some crystallariums, put jade in them, and before you go to the mines trade in 119 jade for 119 staircases at the desert trader on sundays and just staircase spam to the bottom

I recommend fruit bats for players aiming for standard CC (overall still better for remixed bundles in my opinion, but there may be more shrooms). You can get fruits for several bundles without having to pay Pierre thousands of gold for fruit trees, and waiting 28 days or more to harvest fruit from them. Fruit bats also work for Preserves Jars and Kegs, for increased profits. If you are *not* aiming to contribute to the CC, shrooms are more a more reliable source of low income, and some food (purple shrooms, chanterelles, namely). That, and you can decourate your cave with floors without ruining cave efficiency, if you're concerned about resources gotten from it at that point.

Ancient fruit seeds have never been a problem for me. I dig them up frequently as artefacts and get them often enough from random other crops in the seed maker, a little less often than mixed seeds. The hardest Ancient seed to get is the first one, honestly, or, well, the second one since my first one was the artifact and you don't get the recipe to get the growable version until you donate the first one. Ancient fruit wine is my staple now, to the point that I can just focus on building seed stock for other crops and getting a decent excess of Ancient seeds in the process.

If I recall correctly, you can obtain red cabbage from monsters in skull cavern.. pretty low chance but, better than relying on travelling cart that stay the same even after reload..

I go the mushroom cave for endless supply of common mushrooms and morels for fried mushrooms. Plus early game all the common mushrooms you don't sell make a good food source so you don't have to buy stuff like salads all the time

@@ezlilyy Putrid ghosts are almost worse, you just need to remember to bring ginger. And they don’t show up in large groups like squid. I’ve. gotten somewhat better at the dangerous mines - lots of bombs help once you get down a certain amount - but I still tend to just staircase through the last 40 to 60 levels or so of the quest.

There’s something like a less than 1% chance to get ancient seeds while putting any crop in the seed maker, so you could plant a buttload of wheat and turn them all into seeds, and you should be able to secure a few ancient seeds. It’s not fully reliable, but worth noting if you plan on mass harvesting any other crop anyways

I’ve been trying to get radioactive ore in the hard version of the mines (when you active the shrine) and I didn’t get any within my 4 hours of playtime but I got 2 prismatic shards 😭

fun fact, I actually got 3 autopetters in a row, in one run and in the SAME run, I got 4 prismatic shards IN A ROW I didn't use the lucky ricn candy btw, just standard setup, lucky lunch and coffee I just got insanely lucky

I started off choosing the fruit bats, but eventually, I switched over to almost always choosing mushrooms. It was because it was hard to get any morel mushrooms, except by luck in the springtime, if you forage in the secret woods or something. I like knowing that I'm able to cook fried mushrooms and give them to George or something. I just like knowing that I have a whole bunch of stuff in my refrigerator that is able to cook every one of the recipes. The only thing that I can't really get a lot of are fiddlehead ferns, although you can get those when you go to Ginger Island. Those were also something that had to be foraged, with luck. Anyway, I knew I would be able to get all those fruits myself, by planting trees or whatever, it would just cost money, but it was possible.... Then, I found out there's a mushroom cave on Ginger Island, although I don't know yet if it ever produces morels. I should find out. If so, I might feel less pressured to always choose the mushroom cave.

If you put a stingray in the fishpond, it can produce 2-5 cinder shards and other useful stuff.

Red cabbage a problem? Just wait until the second summer and you have it but if you must catch a special fish like "Stör" it makes you crazy especially when it is a fish you can only fish in a special season and when this seasons lies behind you. 🙂

great video, though I do have to disagree about fishing. I'm actually pretty good at it, have had to do the fishing for my better half on every playthrough for her. An I still think fishing is stardews the worst feature in the game. Like Im glad they did something different then a just click A once to get the fish, but still dislike the mini-game a lot.

Pretty sure that’s a different fossil, iirc snake vertebrae can only come from worms in the western part of the island. If you already filled your item farm with crops, that leaves even less room for it to spawn.

meanwhile i have like 400 cinder shards cause i hoard everything and thought it was easy. Sadly, this lead to a possibility that in co-op i gonna be giving all these out cause the others i with is gonna get too few, they don't go in but very rarely lol. auto-petter the thing i try to get in dangerous mines several times, sadly my luck with that is not that great, i only ever got one. Thousands of spiders were murdered for it. I wanted 3 so i set when it comes to ostriches as i wanted 3 buildings worth of them.

Get 2 lucky rings, best luck day, Ginger Ale and a Lucky Lunch and a bunch of staircases. Spam then in the skull cavern and ignore everything! Even Iridium Ore. I found the one in this video after the 40th Treasure floor using this method 😅

Ironically, getting the red cabbage in my most recent save of Stardew Valley wasn't so hard. It was getting 3 apples, a rabbits foot, and a truffle that ruined my chances of finishing the community center in one year😔

Red cabbage was actually one of the first things I turned into the community center, it's actually not that hard to get. Just buy it, grow it, then turn it in. 🤣
