Basically, he works to put the distortion somewhere other than his actual folds, cause that would tear them apart. I am by no means an expert on this, just a college student doing a music minor specializing in voice, but you kind of put your voice “forward” instead of more back, so it’s not grinding your vocal folds. You also don’t try to “push” it or force it, that’s gonna go right to your vocal folds and tear them apart. Despite what it sounds, you almost have to like relax and let it happen more naturally without pushing

@@maruseron Suppose that depends on the version. The original Vitas version, maybe. Dimash Kudaibergenov did this and hit that pretty much full chest voice and actually had several more key changes. Very impressive voice. Edit: maybe not full chest, but demonstrates a much larger range.
