Its a czech car company (there are other branches/companies that have different products etc, but I dont exactly know the relationship of them to each other and the predcessor namesake) bought out by VAG in the nineties. Their cars have mostly been seen as a bit cheaper, more reliable vws. Their cars share several parts (ie platforms and engines) with corresponding vws and Seats (a spanish brand also owned by vw, now discontinued apart from its Cupra line) since the buyout. Most vws after 90s have a Skoda variant(pun intendedxd). For example the mk 1 Octavia vRS has the 1.8 20v Turbo the mk4 gti has. However they also have history with many iconic cars before the vw era. Look up the Skoda 1200, 1100 or 120. Pretty cool stuff.

The car touching thing has gotten EXCESSIVE online. I watch the WeAreCurated channel, and these guys are specialists and dealers in classic sports/super cars and I watched their video on the Ferrari F50, and the guy who sourced the car and was doing the video was leaning on it and people who have likely never seen an F50 were mad he was leaning on it. I’m pretty sure if the dude’s whole job is being around multi-million dollar cars and is likely insured if something happens to it, I think he’s okay to lightly lean on an F50 smh💀
