I read the book a while ago and watched both of the movies and found that the 1995 version is more accurate, but I’m not very sure, I just found that the 1995 was way more accurate to the book( so did my mom who read the book twice) anyway- thanks for reading my weird long paragraph. * btw yes the 1995 version did have flaws but as I mentioned before it is the MOST accurate from them both, but the 2005 version I believe is more kind of “ entertaining” to the watchers so I’m guessing that’s why it’s more liked*

Uh, you have misinterpreted part of the first Darcy proposal scene from the 2005 "Pride and Prejudice" movie. Elizabeth abhorred Mr. Darcy at this point in the movie/novel. She didn't fall in love with him until later on. One of the biggest reasons that she refused him (and Mr. Collins previously) is BECAUSE she didn't love him. It's implied in the novel (but outright said in the movie) that she'll only marry for love.
