@@nevermind19700 or just an electric fence. There are some videos showing big animals who try to get on peoples properties and have no problems even with high snd strong fences, but a normal fence with an electric system stops them and they will not try again after they got 2 to 3 times a good shock. Bears are hard to stop even with a 3m high fence but getting zipped every time is to much for them!

Common sense behavior : when facing an elephant, stop moving avoids misunderstandings ! Only other possible behavior, if you sense that your presence make the animal inconfortable : backing up slowly while still facing him.
@JamieM470
@JamieM470 3 жыл бұрын
@@pthesmith Elephants really don't attack humans without reason. They'll attack if they feel threatened, and naturally some of the ones who have been chained & tortured for decades will kill someone so they themselves can die. It's intentional; like a suicidal person pointing a gun at a cop. They're highly intelligent, and the long memory thing is not a myth. They experience & exhibit many human-like emotions. Also like humans, they're not born with many natural instincts; they learn how to be an elephant--even how to use their trunk--from their family. They become aggressive toward people/villages that regularly kill their family members with poison and/or spears. There are places in India where a popular "sport" is dousing elephants & their babies with gasoline & setting them on fire. They cheer while the elephants burn to death. Elephants in those areas are not fond of people. I wouldn't be either. In Kenya the elephants are fearful & aggressive toward the Masai people because they kill the elephants. But the elephants there are fine with tourists. They can tell the difference between humans. Very smart. Sorry for the long post. I'm fascinated by elephants so I read a lot about them, and I get the impression lots of people misunderstand them. :)

Theres no rational reason to be scared of snakes in walls, it's just your mind that creates the imagination of the snakes drilling a hole into the wall to enter the room and bite, strangle and gauge you. But this never happens, so I think we should be more tolerant about wall-snakes in our homes, they don't want to harm us but only sneak through the walls in peace

@christineparis5607 3 жыл бұрын
@@jaimhaas5170 You're probably right. I was thinking they might not run from people alone but thats the most likely explanation. I was thinking about the huge Axis deer at our ranch, they are not easily spooked, at least the bucks are likely to go medieval on you if they feel too threatened. On a trip to Yosemite we were given pop tarts to feed the deer (it was the early 1960s, the dark ages of idiots hand feeding wild animals)! They were big and unafraid, pushing and shoving to get to us and one kid went flying when a deer kicked out at another. My mom immediately realized that a kick to the head would probably be instant death to a 6 year old and dragged us inside, prohibiting any future interaction with wildlife. For the remainder of the trip we whined and complained about the unfairness until she got one of the rangers to give us a lecture on how dangerous it was. Thankfully, it was a practice that parks (especially Yellowstone) were finally starting to discourage. There are hundreds of videos of people getting beatdowns from wild animals in parks and people still get out of their cars. Did you see the video of the lady that got out of her car at a animal park in Asia after a fight with her husband and was immediately dragged off and killed by a tiger? It was terrifying.

@@christineparis5607 great story thanks for sharing...I know I shouldn't laugh but the lady and the tiger sort of struck a chord with me since my wife would absolutely pull a "doh" like that. (not a very bright bulb) anyhoo we do need to have more darwinism with people in parks. It always angers me that they hunt down and kill the animal that did us all a favor. Most people think bears are so dangerous yet year after year MOOSE win the title for killing more peeps in North America than any other animal.

Not that Blamed the poor thing. The weather had started to turn cold and we had just finished the drying the clothes at the same time my dad had opened the door and thought that it was the cat that had snuck outside coming in only for me to shriek which i will never be ashamed of doing when i saw a hairless tailed creature jump right into the dryer and just stare at me. I swear that it was stare off for a good 5 minutes of me kindly telling the guest to please get out of the dryer and return to the outside. The cursed word named called creature just turned and showed me it behind. It took a good hour to get the bugger out of the dryer and then another 10 minutes to get him outside. The entire time there was not a single hiss or show of aggressiveness from either of us. I was talking to our unwanted guest like it was one of my cats. It’s nice to see how we’ve changed our thinking and reaction to wildlife in areas populated by people. Years ago, the alligator, leopard and bird feeder bear would’ve been shot and killed. Gracie Just crossing a road doesn’t make much sense. I read an article about people feeding alligators, so they start approaching people to be fed. Even if they’re removed up to 50 miles away, they can find their way back so, sadly, if it’s apparent one has been fed it’s automatically killed.

How do you know our ancestors didn't camp there for a while before meaning we just came and reoccupied or something? lmao, the dumbest shit I hear is we invading their turf every single time like yall just know the exact history of that area. Ummm we've been here for a long ass time and that's not even including other human species that are extinct. We have be fighting for turf winning and losing for forever lol. Animals have run us off just as we have run them off. The winner gets the turf just like in the animal kingdom. We as a species have every right to claim territory as everything else does. All those years and an animal invade your house (how is it that animal territory if your place been there for years already before it came????? You can hate humans all you'd like but that doesn't mean to act like you don't understand reality and how the world is. If you love and so in tune with animals and their lifestyle then that statement would be ignorant on your part in ways lol. We are creatures here too. Stop acting like we just landed on this planet only 200 years ago lmao. The world is all of ours, we just so happen to have ways to win. Don't act like we are just treated great when on their turf lmao they murder us plenty for intruding. Welcome to reality lol

This seems like one of those incidents in Bombay. These houses or whole shanty towns border a national park. These incidents are quite regular. The leopards find these residential areas easy hunting grounds, preying on domestic fowl and pigs and sometimes stray dogs which are in abundance in the area. Once in a while, a child gets attacked. These animals are caught and released back into the park. Probably, the ones attacking humans are not, I am not sure about that. It is unfortunate, on one side is a city bursting at its seams trying to accommodate a burgeoning population and on the other side are these nature havens which are slowly choked of space. In one of the top universities in India, located in the same area, you are advised to not wander the campus alone at night as you could easily get in the way of a leopard.

@@judyvalencia3257 I wonder if white bird meant that the women were being ridiculous in the way they were behaving with all that screaming. And since it's just a bird there was no reason for such crazy behavior. That's how I read it.

"Little bear"? Now you realize naming people after animals, the way Native American did, does in fact make sense.

Colin W we humans are given the might and capability, however we are also given the ability to behave based on cultural moral values unlike animals, who are instinctive. From that morality and culture we can be as considerate as possible.

Colin W you mean survival of the fittest. Beyond that there is another state of human beings which is live and let live and even beyond that which may be thought of as highest form of civil code is “helping the unfit become fit to survive”. Also, we thought we had the might. But Covid showed us otherwise. Lol

@Colin W Because this is right thing to do ! You probably want to argue that self destructive patch is just individual preference , but on planetary scale it is not if you be living alone on this planet then well...
