Nicolino Locche is one of the most underrated boxers ever. 136 fights 117 wins 4 losses 14 draws and 1 no contest. Only 14 wins by KO not many people like to watch a technician at work.

According to The Ring Magazine's Annual Ratings, Julio cesar Chavez beggins to appear at Junior Welterweight class until 1989 when he move to this category, but he was number 2 at Junior lightweights 1984-86 and number 1 at Lightweights 1987-88. Tzsyu and Cervantes were ranked always in the same category. *Junior Lightweights* *1984* *1985* *1986* *Champion* Rocky Lockridge Wilfredo Gomez Brian Mitchell *Rank 1* Julio Cesar Chavez JCC JCC *Lightweights 1987* * 1988* *Champion* Vacant JCC *Rank 1* JCC Pernell Whitaker Adding up that the points given for JCC on thids video missing the 1989 points, -We need to add 10 more points to the final 75, *SO GIVES 85* -If we follow apply this method for the whole career of JCC #1=10 #2= 9 -need to add 3 more #2,(27) and 2 more #1 (20) *GIVEN* 47 + 85= *132 OVERALL*

Can I just say right now Povetkin is not been called as mandatory for AJ yet, Whyte is not mandatory for Wilder either and has a final eliminator to become AJ's IBF mandatory. This means there is a golden opportunity to Book AJ vs Wilder now, and put Whyte vs Pulev on the undercard. I would imagine AJ would have a rematch clause if he lost to Wilder, so then the IBF would be stripped in a similar situation to when Fury beat Klitschko, but if AJ wins; we can quickly move to AJ vs Whyte II. Let's hope this fight can get made somehow.

Kostya Tszyu was such a great fighter, it's my opinion that KT was the best jnr welterweight ever, what a fight it would of been had Tszyu v Chavez had happened when both were in there prime, i used to hear that Oscar De La Hoya didn't want to fight Tszyu
@franc101978

robert nolan de la Hoya would have slice Tszyu to pieces with his jab. De la hoya was way too strong for the 140 pound class.
@robertnolan502
@robertnolan502 6 жыл бұрын
The 1st time i saw Tszyu was at the world amatuer champs at Homebush Sydney, Tszyu fought Vernon Forrest in the final, Vernon was much taller & had a longer reach & a good jab, Kostya was a class above, Vernon couldn't touch him, Oscar had a good jab, but didn't always use it in fights, im wasn't saying Kostya would of won over Oscar, its just well known that Oscar wasn't that keen to fight Tszyu, i saw every fight KT had as a pro & at his best id put money on him to beat anyone from that era, Mayweather & De La Hoya included.
@JoseVera20
@JoseVera20 6 жыл бұрын
who knows, Oscar never ducked anyone and even his biggest critics will say the same, let's not forget he literally fought almost every single elite fighter around his weight classes. I don't think he would have ducked him
@Romans8-9

DLH only fought a few fights at junior welter before moving up to welter in 1997. Kostya didnt become the undisputed junior welter champ until 2001. By that stage, DLH already moved up to junior middle and Kostya never fought higher than at 140. So Tszyu and DLH crossing paths was more a matter of bad timing than either deliberately trying to duck each other.

Kostya Tszyu was just starting to becoming a household name all over Australia around 04-05.. would be a special guest on every other sports show, morning show and random big events etc.... Australia has a long track record of not caring to invest in sportman or woman unless they play one of our 4 different national football codes.. so they have to go overseas where the money and real competition is to prove themselves before our media even acknowledge their existance and will act like 12 year old fan girls around them for some reason. Its the same with our musicians and actors etc... no one really gave a fuck about ACDC until they went to the states a got massive... the over the top love and affection is so annoying when there was no pre support beforehand.. The sad part about Tszyu though is that last loss to Hatton just as he was becoming famous.. he basically pulled away from any media spotlight for 5-10 years to be a family man etc without getting to experience the famed life he only just earnt before the loss and the financial benefits that would come with it.
@Romans8-9

Dude you have no idea what you´re talking about. Tszyu was already a household name in 2001 when he became undisputed champ. 04-05 was right at the end of his career.

I like lists however the decades themselves are irrelevant because what if somebody is in the top three between 1965 and 1975 but not necessarily between 1962 and 1972 It would make more sense to just add the total number of points that these fighters would have accumulated through out all the years that they competed Within a particular weight class

That's because he never stayed in one weight class long enough to get high points. Notice how these charts work. It's all about who stayed in what weight class the longest and had the most points in those divisions. That's why fighters like Mayweather and Leonard didn't do well, they constantly moved up weight classes throughout their careers.
