Regarding the Megaman X5 fight against X: He's actually using moves he got from MMX4. I always thought this was a very interesting fact. Considering that X5 has a lot of re-used assets from X4, I wonder if this battle was intended to be in X4 all along-and was programmed, but shelved until later?

Personally, I would've placed Megaman X in number one for the following reason: You play X-X3 and Zero is the ultimate badass, you want to be like him, but the games also point towards an inevitable fight, in X4, you fully get to play as him, but me, as a young kid, loved it but couldn't, he was hard to use. Enter Megaman X5, the fated battle comes to pass, and I went in as X as I still couldn't use Zero properly, the battle was amazing, challenging and the music was so damn incredible, that to this day it is my ringtone, I just can't put into words how badass it is. For many years, that was it, I never even tried using Zero, and naive young me never thought what would happen if I went as Zero. Until one day, I did. Holy shit, seeing X as a boss was MINDBLOWING, I couldn't believe it, there was no way it could be more intense! ...and then he equips the Ultimate Armor and starts using X4's CHARGED weapons. Beautiful. It still sends chills down my spine.

I don't know if anyone pointed this out yet, but Magma Dragoon isn't using Hadoukens. All of his attacks, aside from the torrent of lava and lava-rock shower, stem from Akuma. He even has Akuma's beads around his neck and his neutral stance is not all too dissimilar to Mr. Dark Hadou himself.

If you read Mega Man X2 comic, X have to fight three of them ( Agile and his buddys ) simultaneously and X have to fight Zero too. By the end, X and Zero work together to fight Sigma's last form.

It's also worth noting that Mega Man X isn't fighting Zero with the game weapons. He's fighting zero with the weapons from Mega Man X4 -- weapons he technically shouldn't have. My theory? He didn't have time to dump his weapons off between the Final Weapon incident and the Eurasia Incident.

You probably knew this then, and if not then you've probably since found out. Bassnium was called Fortenium in Japan, to match Bass and Treble's Japanese names: Forte and Gospel. I don't know if Capcom planned that stuff when they made Megaman 7, but the translators who decided to change the names obviously didn't. Fortenium sounds so much cooler than Bassnium.

My favorite boss in the franchise is Skull Man from Mega Man 4. Not just for the fight itself, but what he represents. You see, Skull Man was build by Doctor Cossack specifically to fight Mega Man. The two of them even look alike: same size, same build, weapon in the same place... the whole shebang. Skull Man is in fact the pinnacle of Cossack's abilities. But to the Doctor's dismay, this magnificent robot of his has been designed for just one thing: destroy Mega Man. For this macabre reason Skull Man was build to look like he does: a nightmare. And, his skull-like design is Cossack's idea of taking a jab at Wily and his obsession with skulls, and a subtle warning to Mega Man about what is really going on. The fight with Skull Man is rather interesting too: when you fight him you can just stand there and he'll do nothing. He will let you go first and attack depending on your moves: if you shoot he'll jump, if you move he'll shoot and so on. He is, aside from Proto Man and Bass, the closest anyone ever got to copying Mega Man.

The secret boss in Megaman X: Command Mission! While I don't think he's cool enough to make the list...he uses the Hadoken. so...worth mentioning!

Megaman X is probably the most new player friendly. The Pre-X titles can teach you too but they can quickly get Nintendo Hard, especially if you don't do the bosses in a certain order to get their weaknesses lined up. X can handle the bosses in just about any order thanks to the ability to charge your blaster.

He actually says nothing: just stands with his buster raised at him, ready to deliver the final blow, but hesitating. Hence Bass's line, "He Who Hesitates Is Lost." Basically telling good ol' Rock that he's not strong enough to make such a monumental decision like taking a human life. Pretty dark moment for the Classic Series, if you ask me. But I enjoyed it.

While he didn't specify anything from the zero series, he did say "The devils" meaning the Rainbow Devil from Zero 2 could possibly be inlcuded, but IMO it was a lot easier than the other two devils he talked about.
