Do you know that the actors confirmed that the ship Simbar happened because fans created it? In season one Ambar really disliked Simon and those smiles like when she first met Simon were because she was pretending to be nice, or there were scenes when Ambar talked to Simon just to turn him against Luna and everything. They weren't supposed to be together, but when producers saw what an impact had worldwide, all the fan-videos that were created, many and quite popular they decided to create it and so from the second part of season one Simbar starts to show.

But I do love how the next day after the one you showed, she comes in with the rose in her hair and they hold hands under the table it’s sooo cute. The reason for the Miraculous love square is 1. the memes. It's pretty much just a joke about all the situations that happen due to the double identity thing, and it's really funny when someone outside the fandom sees it and gets really frustrated and confused. 2. It helps keep things clear when discussing the relationships. There are different dynamics between each pairing of the love square because they have different levels of closeness. Like, imagine having another identity and you approach your best friend and they don't know who you are. You can't act like besties right away because they think you're a stranger. The love square just makes it easier to discuss these dynamics. Some people do treat them as entirely separate ships, and I admit that some forms are cuter than the other (like, the awkward smitten dynamic of Ladrien is really annoying but Marichat is nice because they don't put up facades around each other because they don't see each other romantically). Still, despite favouring one version of the ship over another, I still fan-girl over moments with each ship equally.

I don't usually ever post a comment on any KZbin video ever but I kinda just need to vent on lutteo. Their story is so amazing and adorable and delicate and so many other words that I can't find. Their easy banter throughout all the seasons and their smiles and looks at each other have no compare. Even though season two was a difficult time for them they never stopped loving each other which was very apparent for Matteo and apparent for Luna because she is so hurt by everything. And afterward in season three, with the whole Emilia thing, they were so close to being together again and Luna admitted that she was still in love with Matteo. When Emilia showed that picture after Lutteo kissed at the open, the hurt in Luna's eyes after she ran off was so intense and heartbreaking that I wanted to strangle Emilia. But still afterwards Matteo kept trying to make an effort to try and show Luna that it wasn't true and he still loved her and only her to the point that he tried to climb a freaking like ten foot gate and injured himself for his love for her. ( I'm also gonna add that that hallucination kiss was one of the best scenes in my opinion). That kiss in the rain just puts everything they've been through into words and feeling. Afterward when they are at the tree, the look of pure happiness that Matteo and Luna have on their faces is so fantastic and real. They may be the best love story on and off Disney Channel to have ever existed and I will stand by that forever.
