One of the best Vegas channels around. Great list.

I stayed at Mandalay Bay last time and I loved it! Had a luxury feel at an affordable price, and the room was really nice and clean. I loved the Noodle Bar there too!

James what I love about this list is the Top 4. You're spot one that Paris (#4), Planet Hollywood (#3), Linq (#2), and Flamingo (#1) are the hotels that rookies and first timers should stay while experiencing Vegas while not feeling overwhelmed.

MGM budget properties for the winter months. All MGM properties have at least one heated pool as well as a decent size hot tub. I know no one thinks about jumping in the pool when it’s in the 60’s or colder but jump in the hot tub during that time frame and you’ll never wanna get out.

Informative list for anyone looking for a quick and helpful guide to Las Vegas. These hotels are what first timers should experience to get a true taste of Las Vegas...although for me, an experienced Vegas visitor, Palazzo is #1

Excellent list! When we came our very first time, we were upgraded to first Class on Delta and landed at night! Best way to see the strip the very first time is at night! We stayed at the Riviera and won my first slot jackpot while my girlfriend was in the room doing her hair! It all made for a very memorable first trip to Vegas!

I have watched many of your videos now and loving all the info you are giving! However, this may be best one yet possibly for us personally and I’m excited to watch! I am taking my now 21 year old daughter for her birthday for our first time to Las Vegas (from Canada) and I have/am saving a while for this and I am quite excited! We are non gamblers (not opposed, just when we have gone we feel like we are throwing away our hard earned money, and honestly a lil boring for us. 😂 ). We like shows and food, love trying new restaurants here at home (she loves trying fancy fun drinks 🍹)! Not fine dining but fast food, causal and some higher end restaurants. 🤤 So we are doing this as budget/value friendly as I can get with hotel but not cheapest, as want to stay more mid strip (do not want to be in rougher/quieter area I have concluded, plus I know we will love walking and finding lil gems of restaurants so want safest area. We will travel to Fremont St. for a day too, as it looks fabulous! It is quite overwhelming all the hotels and how they each differ so much. Was easy to knock out a few due to locations and easily I think we both would love the ‘Cosmopolitan’ but that may be higher cost (cannot remember location off hand) and some hotels are quite affordable right mid strip. Those resort fees thou, that’s new to me. 😳😭😜 We are going off season, to keep all lower. 4 nights I think! Do not want to show her Linq, as I think she love that vibe as well, but I may be too old. Never thought I’d say that… 🙈🤣 Cannot believe I have not subscribed yet (thought I did first day), you are by far favourite right now for Vegas info and just seeing even the hotels I am not interested in as it is still very interesting. Subscribed. 💯

Downtown I would have included the Plaza the location is top notch being across the road from Fremont St but it's far enough away to be quiet. I loved the place.

Best video ever! Pretty sure we will be at one of your top 4 as leaning to most of those (Paris I need to look into still, and someone told me to look into Horseshoe). May still try to get to the Cosmo 🙈 Thank you!

I don't think I could recommend a location for first timers without asking questions about interest. Cheap eats or fine dining, going during swim season or when it is cold. Do you want to shop or just gamble? Are you looking for value or luxury. But you make some great points about each hotel. Cheers!

James love your videos, but no Bellagio? Such an Iconic Hotel even for first timers, especially with the Refurb.

Strangely, I vote for Harrah’s. It’s pretty centrally located but will ease you in. It’s not overwhelming. Some people come to Vegas and end up hating it. If you go to a place like Harrah’s at least you’re not gonna be traumatized. Leaves people wanting more, a reason to come back. I’d stay away from Fremont. I think people need to be eased in. Vegas is different from anything most have seen, So if they want more they’re pretty close to the action. They can also head north pretty easily if they want. Monorail is there..it’s my vote. Are used to think it was planet Hollywood but honestly a lot of people would have to get used to the dancing girls. Like I said Vegas is a culture different than most people of seen.

@dbased19152 жыл бұрын
my first time in vegas was early March for a crypto conf and i made the mistake of going all out and stayed at Venetian for 6 nights, much better dollar per value deals will definitely choose a cheaper option when i go again considering you are barely in your room and usually out walking the strip, eating, or gambling. Most of these lists seem to have Flamingo in the top 3 for value
@kvom012 жыл бұрын

Spot on advice! I agree with you completely. For my son's first trip, we stayed at Flamingo. We are booked at Caesar's for his next trip. You gave great advice and reasoning for each hotel.

Even though I'm not a "rookie" I stayed at the Flamingo last August. I really liked staying at the Flamingo during the summer due to the location of hotel, the energetic vibe of the casino, and the electric atmosphere of the Go Pool. For rookies and first timers I agree with this list of putting the Flamingo number one.

Overall I definitely agree with the logic and reasoning behind your ranking..............although The Mirage would rate very highly (probably #3 or #4) in my list. I know it's tragically going away very soon with Hard Rock finalizing its purchase of the property (🥲).............but until then hands-down it's one of the best memory-making resorts on the Strip for rookies and first-timers in that it's smaller compared to most mega-resorts, it has not one but TWO of the best amenities/presentations on the Strip with the volcano show and the marine exhibit, it has a great mix of both more fine dining as well as casual and approachable dining options, and it is versatile and appeals to virtually all demographics. Quite surprised the Mirage didn't even chart, but for me it's an EASY Top Five if not Top Three (conversely, I'd rate Paris lower since in my opinion it's kind of lacking compared to sister Caesars properties LINQ, Flamingo and Planet Hollywood). 🙂 Otherwise I very much agree with your ranking. Golden Nugget is EASILY the best starter off-Strip hotel for first-timers (Circa is definitely very appealing, but I can see it being a bit too much for some rookies being 21+), Mandalay Bay is a guaranteed memory-maker, and you know how I can't stop babbling about Wynn/Encore just like yourself. 🙂 Luxor would definitely be my honorable mention because of its tremendous value and how well-rounded its offerings are. A large number of my friends I go to EDC every year with say Luxor is the first hotel they ever stayed at and have a lasting soft spot toward it, and I can totally see why. 🙂
