I have never played Le Harve, but am interested in it. My wife and I love Agricola, Caverna and more recently Nusfjord. I agree that it is a nice touch with the church multiplying 5 bread and 2 fish :)

Definitely the Baguette shop. I lose every game it shows up in, because from that point on nothing is more fun to me than making and selling sandwiches for some reason (and i start disregarding more useful/efficient stuff)

I really miss playing this game. It never seems to be on the events menu at tabletop conventions. Not sure why.

About to play this for the first time on Thursday, woot!

I really recommend houseruling that you draw 3 community buildings instead of 1 when it happens. I feel like they add alot more variety and strategy to the game. Without them its coke and steel everytime.

I’ve always liked the Furniture Store. Another great way to use all that excess wood and leather close to end-game for some easy cash.

I do love the grocery market, also the hardware store is great for getting a jump on bricks and an extra iron in a pinch

Honorable mention: Whatever building someone else is in and is keeping me from using when I need it.

Not sure if I’d call it a favorite, but Wind Farm is hard to beat.

I need to give this game another try, but at the sweet spot of 3 players. I've only played it 3 times once it 2 and twice with 4. It's time to try it again.

I will never play with more than 3. But it's great at 3

Are there different versions of this game? My copy doesn't have the Grocery Market.
@rbruba3 жыл бұрын
Grocery market is listed in the buildings overview in the rules for the standard game. Maybe you are missing a card?

I'd love to play this game given how energetic Tom is about it but the art and theme really put me off. Gonna have to find a chum that has a copy haha.

I am really curious where Tom got this pronunciation of the game from. "La Havvvv" instead of "Le 'avre."
@typerk23883 жыл бұрын
I'd guess it's because he's an english speaking person saying a French title. Would you say anything if it was a non english speaker mispronouncing an english word?

The Zoo? Haha it came out the other night for the first time, and I used it, but it was only to say I went to the zoo. We then laughed about the disappointment people would have visiting a real zoo that only had some cows and dead fish in it.

i can't believe there's not a single serious "well actually" comment on this video yet

Are you a Le Havre fan? I love it.

@@BCSBuck No, I just clicked on the video to find those comments and found none. lol

If you told child me that my favorite videos would be a grown man in a fedora talking about buildings on cards, I would have not jumped out of the way of the train

Good lord I want this game but it's pretty pricey 😔. So far I haven't had a reason to spring for Le Havre over other games. I'm looking for heavy 2 player Euros.

Do you have Fields of Arle?

I don't have favorite cards but I really wanna go to Le Havre (the "useless" church is an icon of the city, I'd love to visit it). I have already been to Carcassonne and Quedlinburg, Le Havre is next. Btw, you should really look up how to pronounce Le Havre.
@Chironex_Fleckeri3 жыл бұрын
He's anglicizing "Le Havre" correctly, is he not? It's unreasonable to expect people to pronounce every game title as if he were a native speaker. Luh HĀV is fine

I disagree with everything you said. Just kidding! I haven't played Le Havre... yet. It's on my list.
